I got really lucky and all it needed was a nice clean with some isopropyl alcohol and it was back working fine. Saved me a lot of time and effort thanks so much I appreciate you a lot ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Thank you. Watched and replaced mine real time. The keyboard nails were so annoying. I had several pastry spatulas already, so the battery came off in real time as I watched you too. No soldering needed on my behalf but much more dust to clean. Had a mini heart attack when I pushed the power button and nothing happened. Then I tried again and the fans began turning, and the new keyboard works great :)

This is an excellent and detailed video. I did have a problem during the disassembling. While removing the battery, I scratched the outside wrap (very tiny scratch) but saw some blue smoke come out of it for a second. Should I cover the scratch with electrical tape and put back this battery? Or should I assume that this battery is toast and replace with a new one to avoid other future problems? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
I would replace the battery to be safe. The fumes are toxic and it could also cause a potential fire.
Can we pause and appreciate how apple manage to design something so hard to repair ? This must have exhausted all creative brain cells of their designing and engineering department.

Ha, Yes, ALWAYS disconnect the battery FIRST when indie. Ha. Don't have to remove the speakers or the battery, there are two screws near the middle 2 batteries that need to come out to remove the keyboard. So try to replace as many screws as possible then JB weld the holes where the revit "stubs" are located. The one I am doing had coffee spill and cat hair inside Yuck! Thanks

You don't need to remove the batteries to do this! Found that the keyboard is "rivited" on, hard to then use screws to put in the new on. Anyone have an idea? saw the British Guy's video also. 😅
You do have to disconnect the battery though lol
Tell me please. MacBook 15 2015 keys do not work (RTYUIO) and E does not work well, are there any repair options without replacing them with a new keyboard?

Other than using an external keyboard, nope.
