Still my main computer and still works flawlessly! The one with dedicated graphics. I do photo/video editing in 1080p on them and play simple games. But, to be honest, I know it is most probably going to be replaced by the 14"/16" M1whatever model.
Have a question Luke, You have $2000 Would you choose a 2019 i9 with 1tb 16 inch Or a refurbish 2019 15 inch with 2tb ssd, 32gb ram and 8gb graphic card Which would you pick for performance and reliability.

It is one of those things where I was sad that they no longer made them glow but I also really appreciate how the logo is now mirrory and uniform with the rest of the apple logos in the lineups
@@QuixoticPenguin yes but the glowing apple logo is extremely cool and fun its just one of those things only apple would do and its sad they removed it
I have done web development for the last 6 years with my 2015 MBP. It's an amazing computer even in 2022. It was my first macbook, it has 16gb ram (it was insane to me in 2016), an i7 and 256gb ssd. The only issue I had in these years was the battery, I had to replace it two years ago. But it has a really nice screen, a fit and solid design, a nice keyboard and a lot of useful ports. Even a really acceptable performance, I am able to work developing with javascript every day without any issue. But its hour has come, and today I bought a M1 Pro with 32gb ram and 1tb ssd. Thanks for all the adventures 2015 MBP, I'll never forget you.
When you said the “M1s are significantly over performing for their category” - it made perfect sense as to why I bought the 2015 mid year model in 2022. Apple likes to release future proof machines. Which is why the newer models are still ahead of its time and the older models are still relevant because of the intuitive technology..
@@yasser9973 Don't recommend for video editing. There built like a tank. Can run Left for Dead or Counterstrike source on medium settings to give you an idea. So just like the times, things become obsolete. I tried editing 1080p/720p and it's like pulling teeth compared to a 700$ build your own desktop PC. Which is what I did. It only has 2gb video memory. So you have to scale everything down to 480p or less to edit sufficiently. Never was a Mac guy. Got it back it 2015 for film school. It's a fine machine, but after downloading Adobe it runs slower. Spend and extra couple hundred and give yourself some piece of mind. Also no disc drive and no usb c. Memory fills up fast. There going for 4-500$ now.
Luke, THANK YOU for this review❗️ It makes me REALLY APPRECIATE my 15” 2015 MBP👍 I actually bought it a little over a year ago for $400 on Craigslist. I got it for this price because the seller could not reinstall the OS after wiping the SSD. It took me a lot of deep diving to figure it out, but finally by resetting the clock to July 2017, I was able to install and update the OS and voila, I am now rocking a GREAT dream machine I longed for.
On a different computer I had issues reinstalling the OS, finally got it by creating a USB installer...wish I would have done that from the beginning...I kept getting the error 500 can not connect to App Store.
@@reverscrypto7638 Make sure you have a bootable USB drive with the macOS installer loaded onto it. You can open the Terminal from within the installer and use the command "date [month][day][hour][minute][year]" to set the clock. The different sections of the command are 2 digits each. For instance, if you want to set the clock to, say, April 19th 2022 at 11:45pm, it should be written as "date 0419234522". Doing this should cause the installation to verify and proceed.
That’s literally what I did. It sat unused for at least a year until my 2012 had a final coronary earlier this year (9 years of solid daily use) and now I’m working on my brand new 2nd hand mid 2015.
i just got mbp 2015 with half the price of the mbp m1 2020.premiere, logic pro x, photoshop run smoothly. Planning to upgrade to apple silicon when the price is lower maybe next 3 years
@@Cobycuz I needed a new battery in mine also. I took it in about 6 months ago and they replaced it for free. Since they were doing the labor anyway I paid To get new IO ports installed at the part cost. Also cool thing when you replace battery you get new keyboard with it as well
@@Bombgamiing honestly it would be ok but if you can swing it, a base model M1 MacBook Air would be a better investment and probably run circles around this machine. I will say that I am considering picking up a 2015 15” MacBook Pro on eBay for just a stay at home family computer/server/media manager for all of our videos and music. It would also serve as a backup if one of our primary MacBooks goes down as we run a business.
Own a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro - two new SSD’s, removed optical drive and updated memory to 16GB. Works like brand new. Apple soldering their SSD’s in the new MBP’s is just a disgrace - consumers should be allowed to make changes to their own device.
It’s more or less because things are getting smaller so it’s easier to fit more in there with smaller parts. Apples stuff has always been innovative. You couldn’t even find aftermarket SSD for a 2015 MacBook for so long.
For me its the no branding on the screen, the glowing logo on the back, and the black hinge. Its the best looking MBP I've ever seen. The only thing that would make it better would be the old metal power button on the body of the computer and oof. chefs kiss.
I'm still using my 2015 15" with AMD graphics today! I got it band new on release day and i've never even once considered upgrading it. The screen is fantastic, the keyboard and trackpad are the best i've ever used, speakers are great, battery is great, thermals great etc etc. Also one thing you forgot to mention, in 2015 when this was released, it was already using an 18 month old Haswell chip, because Intel didn't release their Broadwell HQ chips in time for this, so the 13" ran 5th gen, and the 15" ran 4th gen. I'm a software engineer so I use mine for all kinds of programming, compiling, but also consuming a lot of media, i've not once had a single issue with it, it's quite amazing how well its lasted
@@pokiblue5870 I personally wouldn't. The M1 will smoke it in performance, plus future proofing will be far greater on the M1. Only real advantage of the 2015 is the screen size, and ports. Plus it won't be long until Apple stop supporting it
Bought mine (mid 2015 15 inch) in early 2016 and I couldn’t be happier! Runs like a champ, love macOS, love the SD-Card reader, love literally everything. It even looks like a new device, despite the bezels...
literally bought my mid2015 15in last night :D upgrading from my maxed out 2012 2.9ghz 13in with 2.5TB of SSD and maxed RAM. Cant let go of that one though, never failed me once in the 5 years ive had it.
Since the purchase this machine is still rocking, even beat up my MBP 2020, the screen size, ports, battery and compatibility with Big Sur are the main reason to buy it.
Still using my mid 2015 macbook pro since october 2015, worth every €, since last year I had noticed it to overheat and the fans turning on constantly, since I replaced the battery last month it works like a charm again, pobably the best macbook pro ever.
It always impresses me how many people I see using these regularly, plus I have a friend who's just picked up one of these to replace a troublesome 2017 'function keys' Pro. Whilst my 2015 13" doesn't quite have the performance of the quad-core 15" it still scoots along happily in light work. The 15" should still competently handle pretty decent workloads and the value is really good.
Basically, I don't want a computer where I have no HDMI port, on a portable laptop in 2021. This was the compelling reason for me to get this machine. I have it running Big Sur, flawlessly. 2.6Ghz 16GB RAM - got it for around £600 quid in 2020. A beast. Can handle anything I throw at it. I will keep it forever. Never going to update it beyond Big Sur though, as I just love the cleanliness and simplicity of the OS and I have no compatibility issues at all. New Macs with no ports doesn't interest me in the slightest - plus, I don't need insane performance, I am not a graphic designer. I'm a musician / teacher so it is more than good enough for me. :-) Honest review though, man.
I've had one of these since they came out in 2015, and continue to do most of my RUclips video editing on this machine, 4k, effects, FCPX plugins, everything. I have a pretty heavy hitting Hackintosh with a 9700k and a Radeon VII, but even still this little MacBook continues to impress and keep up with that thing. Genuinely one of the best workhorse computers Apple has made in recent years. I'm looking forward to your impressions of the Apple Silicon 16" MBP when it releases, Luke! I think that will finally be a return to the true creative's tool that the Mid '15 was!
Im still on my mid 2015, today I changed thermal paste and removed dust inside it. Now it runs smoooth again with fans almost making no sound, but Im looking forward buying the M2 in the late 2021 =) But this is a real beast and so good with all the ports
Honestly, with the big jump on the 5nm M1 performance, I will just wait for M1 pro/M1 max macbook pro reduce price. I think the M2 next year will just be a marketing term, until the 3nm chip is out, that is real M2 chip.
Don't i have 2019 & 2021 it's shit 2015 is way better yes the m1 is faster but you can't upgrade it like 2015 promise keep it upgrade your 2015 ssd & ram it will work in the long run
Honestly all 15” retina MacBook Pros between 2013 and 2015 are really good, still in 2021. Good battery life, and performance is great, especially if you get an eGPU too. But I’d say that the 750M dGPU isn’t too bad for gaming, and especially for streaming lighter games via Boot Camp
Do not always look at benchmarks. If you do not work as a pro in video editing, where time is money, this machine is fast enough for your work. It can handle heavy multitasking with various apps and 50+ tabs open in different browsers without any problem. With 2gb graphics even X-Plane 11 runs quite nice on mid settings. My 2.5 i7 with 16gb and 1tb is running perfect since 2015.
Love my Mid-2015 15”, it’s the base model with the integrated graphics but in normal use I never hear the fans and it genuinely feels as lightning fast as the day I unboxed it in 2015, even running Big Sur! It just refuses to feel slow and give me any excuse to upgrade so it looks like I’m keeping it for a bit longer 😂
@@adeoluolusanjo3216 I've been using mine with Premiere Pro for 6 years. Haven't upgraded yet from the El Capitan (ugh, I know), but it works well. Only now I'm thinking of upgrading the OS as website certificates on Safari and 3rd party app support are starting to fail.
This model Macbook Pro is the epitome of the best features Apple had - magsafe, hard function keys, keys on the keyboard that work consistently, plenty of USB ports, a Thunderbolt and HDMI port, and user-upgradeable components. I have one and it is a workhorse. Easy machine to love.
I just bought one from a local computer shop that deals in refurbished Apple products. Exact same specs except 512 GB SSD. I paid $599 and it looks and performs like a brand new one. I have had the M1 Air and also the M1 14" MacBook Pro. Honestly, this 2015 model specked out as described in this video...performs every bit as good for 90% of the stuff at nearly 25% of the cost of a new M1 14" MacBook Pro. I mostly use it for photo editing, and am very happy with it. I just cannot fathom spending $2000 on a laptop.
Same! At this point I've developed some curiosity to see just how long I can keep using it as my only computer. So far I've not run into any problems, even doing some 3D CAD in Fusion360 and when COVID hit I needed to model in Siemens NX on Windows which I ran in Parallels (not super smooth but really usable and waaaaay better than I'd feared) It's just wild how well that 12 yo machine held up.
@@KK-VLOG Mine's a 15" MacBookPro, but still. Guess at this point I'll be skipping all Intel Core i MacBooks and go straight for an Apple Silicon one when it dies (well if it dies:)
Luke - your videos and your new set are getting better and better! You kept your word of producing content more regularly, and as a long time fan of the channel I definitely appreciate it =)
100% Agree! 2015 15" MBPro here. 6 years going strong. I bought it when it launched and have had 0 issues and just installed a new battery in it myself this week. Everything still working as it was from Day 1.
@@Delmon83 After using it for a few months now, I’ll be honest it doesn’t last as long as the standard Apple battery. It does the job cos I need to replace it at the time, but the difference is very noticeable. That’s being said I just got my new M1 Pro MBP. So I’m beginning to slowly migrate my files and probably retire this one in a year or so.
@@wale.a Thank you for answering so quickly, I just bought a brand new one and I expected the battery to last 7 hours at least watching videos on RUclips and it only lasts 3/4 hours, I do not know if it is due to the update of monterry, the battery has 8700 mAH!
I've had my early 2015 13" macbook pro since early 2016 and amazingly lasted me this long. I'm grateful its lasted me this long and it works like a charm still. Over the years I needed to update was the battery, upgrade the storage to 1tb from 256 gb, and replace a charger cause the cord was peeling. Worth every penny.
I still have mine and as a software developer, this machine is still kicking with plenty of life left in it. Last year I cleaned out the machine and replaced all the thermal paste and it’s humming along just fine.
Just upgraded from my 2012 Macbook Pro 13" to this model. ..... In 2022....... I love it so much. The only real gripe I had about my 2012 was that it was a 13" screen. Wanted a larger screen and didnt want to shell out 1500+ for a a new laptop. Have zero gripes about this guy.
I got my mid 2015 15" MBP refurbished from Apple in 2016. Upgraded the NVME 1TB and replaced battery, other than that, it still does everything I need to do. Solid like a tank baby. And my 2010 MBA is going strong after 11 years.
Yes, mine has been bulletproof ever since I bought it. I partitioned the drive to run windows throughout the pandemic to run software such as auto cad and revit, it worked without a hitch. Love the glowing logo too.
This was my 1st MBP I bought last August. I wanted a solid entry point model to see if I'd enjoy using Apple laptops. It's still brilliant. I have the same spec as one in this vid, but with half the GB's of storage, and it was in near-mint condition with not even a scratch on the screen or body anywhere! I use it to watch vids, write, and do my remote work for my job. I'm not a gamer or editor, so it does all the things I need with no fuss. It's still running like a dream for everything else. It runs Big Sur fine, and I'll prob still get at least one more Mac OS update before I need to buy the latest MBP at that time. I'm hoping that one will have more ports and a design revamp. If anyone is thinking of buying one, my advice is you could do no wrong. Good laptop👌
I actually bought one of these 2 years ago to replace my GPU Failed 2011MBP. I love it, and there is a recall on them which replaces all the top case including keys and backlighting. If this one dies I'll go M1, but right now, editing 4K is fine on this!
Its Feb 2022 and I'm still rocking my 2015 Macbook pro, bought it with 1terra of flash memory, 2.8 ghz i7 core and 16 gigs of ram. Still my adobe suite workhorse and going strong.
Wanted one of these for years and finally pulled the trigger on a used deal locally for $675. Using it for music production and I couldn't be happier. Don't hear the fans and its basically mint :)
Why is everyone forgetting this, when it comes to battery? The late 15 model is the LAST model where you can CHANGE the battery. Which is a HUGE thumb up. When the 20 model comes to the end of the battery-circles, you will need a new laptop.
I still use my mid 2015 MBP every day. I'm a network and server engineer who does a lot of field work. I bought it brand new and have had exactly zero problems from it. About a year ago, I cleaned inside and replaced the thermal paste and made a HUGE difference in performance and temps. As much as I love this thing, the fact that I'm now having to run sometimes multiple virtual machines for VMware testing and things like that, it's definitely struggling (and has loud fans, and runs hot) but for a capable, internetting machine with full ports and a bulletproof keyboard and build quality, it has no equal for the money. It's one of the few macbooks that Rossman still endorses. As for me, I will probably be moving up to one of the new M1 Pro macbooks at the end of the year.
I have my 15 retina 2015 still in use. I upgrade to 2tb ssd and now it’s perfect, I change cpu cooling pad, now it’s cooler and one is really good SD slot, usb and hdmi. All of them without an adapter
I passed this computer to my mom! The mid 2015 15inch, and I switched to a new M1 Pro 16 inch! That computer has lasted, even after a drop once. I put so much love into that machine, makes me happy it still works for my mother!
This was my first mac, the 2015 Mid Macbook Pro 15 inch, I love it. I replaced its battery in Apple store last week and it's just like a new machine. But as I got my m1 air early this year, I finally decided to retire it... because the m1 Macbook Air is just too good.
Still loving it. SO incredibly reliable. Use it all day at work and half the night. Have lugged it all over the world. Carry it all over the place -- living room, backyard, park across the road, local coffee shop. Often take it into the bathroom to watch movies in the bath. Often fall asleep with her on the pillow next to me playing some 10 hour RUclips video with the sound of rain falling. I don't think I've turned this one off for 6 years. Just close the shell. Still looks brand new. Picture and sound still fantastic. Yeah, I reckon I'll get an M1, but I have handed down my last 2 Macbook Pros to my niece and she is STILL making content on the one before this. I never thought about the glowing Apple logo but, yeah, this was was always a special lady.
I’d be interested in seeing an apartment tour video. You seem to have good taste. We’re redecorating our place in all mid-century modern and I’ve been admiring your backgrounds for a while.
This Macbook is a truly hard work-proof machine. I've got mine since 2016 and still rocking on. Doing After Effects stuff, render after render, get's hot af from the beginning ( 95c* is normal) and after all these years still operates smoothly. I've only changed battery and need to change SSD. Never disappointed me, however Apple Silicon time has finally come!
Watching this on a slightly battered secondhand 2017 MacBook Air. Recently got into the whole ecosystem thing and Luke does great videos with sound advice. I enjoy Apple products but my budget always means that I am a few generations behind but they are quality built hardware and are usually supported for many years. Loving it.
recently got my 2015 macbook pro with retina display.. its running on macOS Monterey and i have no complaints here! my first macbook and i am in love! paid only 250 for it.
I'm getting one of these, refurbished, with 1tb space, 16gb ram, better processor, and a great price. Can't wait. My current one is one of these but 13 inch, it came with 128 gb disk space.
I love mine, but will switch to M1 in the fall if it looks good. Some things I’ve done: 1. New battery (use the string trick) 2. 1TB NVMe 3. Clean cooling system and replace thermal compound.
@@jorgemontano750 the official instructions are to take apart most of the laptop so you can drip some solvent into the battery compartment to dissolve the glue that hold the battery packs in place. Instead, you get a very strong thread or string and tie two sticks or rings at each end. You put the string under the battery pack segment and then pull it back and forth to cut the glue. You need to tape it to a table or get a strong friend to help you. The string has to be really strong, like a braided fishing line. I used a string used for sewing leather and it broke a few times during the process.
I got a 2015 Macbook Pro Retina 13" on my 14th birthday and it's been like 5 years now. Apart from the shorter battery life that started since a bit over a year ago, everything else runs smoothly and I'm even still able to play some video games with very little problems. I'm planning on getting a battery replacement and I'll be sticking with macos mojave for a while cuz I don't want to get a new computer anytime soon. It's not merely that this computer still works well, it's also that this computer is full of nostalgia and memories as I've been using it for my 4 years of high school.
Up until recently, and having traded it in for an M1 Mac mini, I was using a mid-2014 MacBook Pro for my demanding motion graphics job. It was the last model to have dedicated nvidia graphics. I loved that machine. Totally was still usable for motion graphics and 3D work. I’d rather use a truly “Pro” machine from 2014 than use a newer machine with ZERO “Pro” I/O.
I bought a mid 2014 15” MacBook Pro because of your videos just a year ago. I spend 475 bucks on it and I love it. It’s an amazing upgrade over my old 2012 13” unibody. And I flipped that one for a bit of profit after the upgrade.
I'm using one as I watch this. Next to no issues, and reliable. I have been offered another that is hardly used, and has a new battery, keyboard and screen by Apple for $1500AUD. Seriously thinking about it. As the new machines with M1 are through the roof here in Australia. Love your vids Luke.
I just sold my OG 15” retina MacBook Pro and got a 16” hand me down! I don’t miss full size USB so much. Got type C cables for all the external drives and a dongle with USB 3, HDMI and SD card,
Been using mine for going on 7 years. I've never had a laptop like this one. Not a problem in all the years I've had it, still runs just as quick too! I will be a macbook user for live because of my experience with this thing!
I bought this Mac when it first came out, I decided to get it for myself as a birthday present as it was in June. I still have it to this day and I love it because I take pictures as a hobby and I love having an SD Card slot. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had an issue with it. Holding on to it maybe we’ll get another MacBook with SD slot soon
My dad has a Late 2013 MacBook Pro that is working well to this day. He got it in Aug. or Oct. of 2016 and he has had a few glitches on it, but a restart once in a while and a software update to Big Sur helped get rid of the glitches. Edit: These old MacBooks are made to last.
Worked in a shop and bought my Mid 2015 when Apple stopped selling them in 2018 including four additional years of warranty (starting at purchase date) by my store. So it is still under warranty. It was the one that was on our display for three years already. It was literally running 24/7 for three years und is still doing great. I got my display changed in an Apple Store because of delimitation right after I bought it. Besides that 2020 the battery swell and the left speaker started to crackle. Both parts were replaced as well under warranty. One time I spilled water over the keyboard and the keys stopped working for some days, but it recovered by itself. 10/10 would buy again
Do you still get performance? When I use the maximum resolution, it is just impossible to run a Google meet, for example. When I turn the resolution down, it runs fine.
It is still king in my opinion. I just returned 2019 16in because the ports and mostly because it only benchmarked about 150 points higher than the 2015. Now will wait for the M1x or M2 patiently.
Still deeply happy with my 2015 15" MacBook Pro Retina. Upgraded the SSD and changed the battery twice. Whilst physically showing its age, it's still working really well. Have stuck with Big Sur too.
These laptops are still nice to use depending on your particular use case... as for the anti-glare coating coming off on the screens, if you're using the laptop exclusively in-doors then just remove the rest of the delaminating anti-glare coating (there are ways to do this posted online) and have a clean screen again. Yes, you get a little more glare but the screen looks brand new. Even today, I still prefer to use my 2015 MacBook Pros and they serve me well for my use case... great review Luke!
I had a 2015 back when it came out and loved it. Was my last Apple laptop until I tried a 16" 2019 for a couple of weeks in November, then traded it in for a 14" M1 Pro. BUT I love these 2015s so much I just bought one for a friend for under $400 - has the 2.8GHz i7 with the R9 GPU. It is just as much fun to play around on as my 14". She hasn't had a laptop in years so she will be excited. Thanks as always for the great video.
Watched this on my 2013 13" Retina MacBook Pro, best computer I ever bought. Only thinking about buying an M1 iMac because I'm getting into sound production and the screen size and performance is compelling. For most things that almost ten year old laptop still works brilliantly.
I think the 3rd Gen Macbook Pros have held up quite well over the years, and even mine being a mid-2014 w/ 16gigs of ram, 512GB SSD, and dual graphics, it is still great for everyday use. Last year, I replaced the battery, and also applied new thermal paste on the CPU & GPU. It's been dropped multiple times, and has some scratches on the body, but it's been a good workhorse, and has been great for photo editing. (Mind you, I still photograph using a Canon 5D Classic, and Canon 7D. Photo Editing using more modern cameras might cripple this laptop more)
I just picked up the same model (2.8GHz) for $150. It has de-lamination and an aging battery, but I'm hoping it works decently enough and i can lay to rest my 2011 MBP with failed GPU. I chose the 2014 over the 2015 because of the lower price and the specs are very similar.

@@jamesbubnick how where u able to get Mac OS on a hard drive
@@reverscrypto7638 Make sure you have a bootable USB drive with the macOS installer loaded onto it. You can open the Terminal from within the installer and use the command "date [month][day][hour][minute][year]" to set the clock. The different sections of the command are 2 digits each. For instance, if you want to set the clock to, say, April 19th 2022 at 11:45pm, it should be written as "date 0419234522". Doing this should cause the installation to verify and proceed.

Im wondering if its worth buying this 2015 macbook vs M1 macbook
@@pokiblue5870 I personally wouldn't. The M1 will smoke it in performance, plus future proofing will be far greater on the M1. Only real advantage of the 2015 is the screen size, and ports. Plus it won't be long until Apple stop supporting it

How long does the battery last?
My battery is at 96% health and it easily lasts 7-9hrs depending on the use.
Since the purchase this machine is still rocking, even beat up my MBP 2020, the screen size, ports, battery and compatibility with Big Sur are the main reason to buy it.
@@codingraph how much did you buy yours
The 17 was trash.
Honest review though, man.
im curious as to how apple service such as icloud would function. Can you tell me more about that?
I've had one of these since they came out in 2015, and continue to do most of my RUclips video editing on this machine, 4k, effects, FCPX plugins, everything. I have a pretty heavy hitting Hackintosh with a 9700k and a Radeon VII, but even still this little MacBook continues to impress and keep up with that thing. Genuinely one of the best workhorse computers Apple has made in recent years.
I'm looking forward to your impressions of the Apple Silicon 16" MBP when it releases, Luke! I think that will finally be a return to the true creative's tool that the Mid '15 was!

What are the specs on the one you got? I’m looking at one for music production as well.
How is it performing for you now?
As for me, I will probably be moving up to one of the new M1 Pro macbooks at the end of the year.

what is the string trick?, can you give me more information pls?
@@jorgemontano750 the official instructions are to take apart most of the laptop so you can drip some solvent into the battery compartment to dissolve the glue that hold the battery packs in place. Instead, you get a very strong thread or string and tie two sticks or rings at each end. You put the string under the battery pack segment and then pull it back and forth to cut the glue. You need to tape it to a table or get a strong friend to help you. The string has to be really strong, like a braided fishing line. I used a string used for sewing leather and it broke a few times during the process.

I bought a mid 2014 model about 1.5 years ago, no regrets.
those and 2013 are good, Luis Rossman approved actually :D
@@ademiravdic That's exactly why I got it :P
@@elfensky ei man, gotta get that longevity am I right :D
10/10 would buy again
i am still using the 15" late 2013 retina macbook pro
same here!
Do you still get performance? When I use the maximum resolution, it is just impossible to run a Google meet, for example. When I turn the resolution down, it runs fine.
@@ricardoutsunomia4330 not sure about Google meet, but Microsoft Teams loads 70% all cores with video. otherwise it is still a pretty decent machine.
Me too. Mine is still fast and amazing. ❤
I recently bought one and love it very much. I don't really like the new ones being offered but love the new internal hardware.
It is still king in my opinion. I just returned 2019 16in because the ports and mostly because it only benchmarked about 150 points higher than the 2015. Now will wait for the M1x or M2 patiently.
MacBook Pro 16 inch with M1 Pro and M1 Max is now here.
@@atisbasak I purchased the M1 Pro 16in and loving it!
I still use it every single day. I installed Big Sur on it, upgraded RAM en SDD. This machine flies ! Yes. Live long the king !
I have 2014 Mid Year, and love it.
@Kemohr Sesay I have a 2014 model, very similar in many ways. Similar-ish CPU, same ports, less good NVidia 750m.
I just got one. Upgraded it to 500gb. I haven't owned a computer since my Lenovo in 2016. It's such a good computer so far.
I have a Early 2015 MBP and I love it!
Of course it had to be a girl.😀
I still use this macbook pro mid 2015 beauty even though it's old but it will still have space in my heart when I'll get a new one
I still use it for music production! And you still find them in studios for a reason. The ports are what makes them still relevant.
Now apple started reselling it in 2021 with edge to edge display ,ports and powerful M1 pro and M1 max chips
I am still using my 15" MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2012. (2,3 Ghz Quadcore, I7, 8 Gb Ram).
And it is doing fine on Big Sur 11.1
I sold mine and got a M1 Air, I miss the sd card slot sometimes, but the M1 performance without a fan is just insane.
But its 13". And the price for such a 16" nowadays is 2.3k+
My 2.8ghz 15” drives my studio flawlessly to this day. All she needed was a ssd upgrade from OWC.
