Very nice explanation of the trail arm. Pete Cowan often talks about "spinning the trail arm down" which you have described well. Getting that trail arm motion correct along with starting the transition with the body (before backswing completes) can really transform a golf swing.
I agree those are two big elements of the swing, and that's a good visual for the arm as well, Pete obviously has great ideas when it comes to the swing.
I've been told to almost feel as if you are slapping water as your turn through impact, this seems like a similar "feel" - I suffer from over the top/early extension often.
If that is a feeling that works for you that is certainly something you should do then. I try to avoid any of those types of thoughts in my videos and focus more on the theory of what is going on. But in my coaching, I use any relatable thoughts that I can to help the player understand the motion they need to make.
This is excellent. Thank you very much.
Thank you I appreciate it!
