You’re a man after my own heart. A walk in the country isn’t complete unless you light up a spirit stove, even it’s only to brew a coffee. I loved it when you pulled out the liquidiser lol. That’s class. If it’s been lying awhile you might need to put fresh petrol in it and dry the spark plug.😉. You have got some interesting recipes on your channel, I will give them a watch. Subbed 👍🏻
Hi Paul. Thanks for checking out my channel and subscribing, you know I hadn’t used the liquidiser in a while, perhaps that was the problem 😂. Anything prepared in nature tastes so much better doesn’t it! Hope you enjoy my other videos. Cheers. Neil
Great job. I had a hand blender like that myself, and ended up throwing it across the yard in a fit of rage 😂 I'm definitely going to take enough stuff with me tomorrow to make corn chowder now! Thanks!! You earned a new sub
Haha. My hand blender worked faultlessly for several years, right up to the point where I’d walked a few miles to film a RUclips 😂. Hope your chowder turns out well. Thanks for the sub! Cheers. Neil
That looked really delicious and I'm going to try making that myself! Thanks for the video and this has me hooked so I'm subscribing and will be checking out your others. Cheer😁
Hi. Great to hear you enjoyed my video, it did taste really good - really creamy with that oat milk too! Going to try something similar again sometime soon, thinking I might smoke a bit of fish like I did in my smoked garlic video. Thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel. Hope you enjoy your chowder as much as I did. Cheers. Neil
Clam chowder sounds good. I’d like to try that one day! Thought I’d try a plant based one this time for ease, the oat milk make it surprisingly creamy though.
Better late than never! 😂. Welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching and for the tip on the cream cheese, might have to use that idea in a pasta dish. Hope you enjoy my other videos too. Cheers. Neil
That looks lovely. Thing is though why didn’t you use ordinary milk. I cannot eat onions do you think you could use leeks instead? and also could you use gluten free flour?
Most plant milks until opened don’t need to be kept in a fridge. Long life (UHT) milk could be an option but I’m not a personal fan of it. The oat milk tastes creamy so I knew it would work will in the recipe. Leeks swapped with onions would work. I don’t know if gluten free flour thickens but I don’t see why not. Thanks for checking out my video, glad you enjoyed it
😂No! I’ve been thinking about doing it again but using the Kelly Kettle to smoke a bit of haddock like I smoked the garlic in my earlier video. Pretty sure that would make a good chowder 😋

@@parkitpitchitmoorit if you fry some smoked lardons first and do much the same ,with clams or shrimp or mixed sea food it’s beautiful
@@grahamdakin282 that sounds awesome. You’re making me hungry!
Late to this party but loving the ideas and use of fresh veggies, my corn chowder is more of a cheat using mini cream cheese tub to thicken 🙈
