“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 kjv “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on HIM that sent ME, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24 kjv “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the LORD;” Acts 3:19 kjv “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 kjv
Tried this tonight for me and my husband. Dint bother too much about proportions. But it came out awesome. I used milk instead of half and half and used the hand blender right in the pot and made the entire soup coarse. Superb. Thanks for the recipe.

I use ham steaks that I are cut about a third of an inch thick that I put in my smoker with maple wood. Then I cube the steaks and add them to the chowder. I also add some thick cut bacon cut into I inch long pieces.

Made this over the weekend followed the recipe exactly except for dried thyme instead of fresh. I also made the corn stock. WOW it was delicious!!! It was so sweet fresh and corn tasting. Cant believe the difference between fresh vs frozen!
We live in sweet corn and tomato heaven. During the Corn Months I always buy 2x the corn I need. I cook it - boil, steam, nuke, grill- whatever and the leftovers get optioned and frozen. Better than and frozen corn I've ever had. We use the cobs for stock but that gets used during the season.
Just make corn stock from the husks when you cut off the curnals. Its super easy just boil the husks in water. Why would you ever substitute stock with water? Yukky!🤮🤮

Bad trouble will come 8 It will be very bad for you people who buy many houses for yourselves. You also buy land to join to the land that you already have. Then there is no more land left for anyone else. You are the only people who remain on the land. 9 I have heard the Lord Almighty promise this: ‘All these great, beautiful houses will certainly become empty. There will be nobody to live in them. 10 Large vineyards will give only a few bottles of wine. If you plant ten bags of seed, you will only get one bag of grain as your harvest.’
Some people do not care for potato skins. When I peel potatoes, I save the skins to bake them. They can be seasoned with garlic or onion powder, sea salt, etc. Beats the hell outta greasy store bought chips...and the price is right.

I completely agree! I would make it more often if my family enjoyed it as much as I do.

My grandma made something like this but she used celery too and fried it with the onions and butter in a pan before adding it to the chowder.
Great recipe! Corn chowder looks very good! 😍
This looks so comforting and delicious!
This looks super! Martha Stewart is truly the best!
Making this RIGHT now, I used a combo of corn stock and chicken. Dried thyme. First soup of the football/fall season!! 😍
One of my all time favorites. I love to sprinkle on some crunchy bacon crumbles or on special occasions, diced and carnalized jalapeno smoked sausage.
Thank you , love from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 Martha and team!
The corn chowder looks so delicious. 🌽
That looks so delicious and easy to make. I have got to try this. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ 💕
I so enjoy your cooking school. The chowder looks delicious. I will make some soon. I bet that would be delicious with fried crispy fritters.
Finally, a dish without bacon for us that don't eat pork.
...also for someone who doesn't eat any meat.
can I use whipping cream or whole milk to substitute? I don't have cream at home
Absolutely mouth watering! 💖💖💖
Hello Sue 👋 Forgive me for using this meduim in expressing that i you're an attractive woman with calming smiles
Thank you, Martha...just made a small batch, for tomorrow night...adding shrimp 😁...too.
Looks like a warm , filling and rather inexpensive dish to make for a large family. Somehow I always thought there was more to this dish?
I think I know which soup I'm going to have at Thanksgiving, besides my French onion that I make every year.
Looks delicious 😋
Can you use whole?
I made this today and added shrimp and old bay

I don’t know why they call this a summer dish. I’ve only ever eaten this hardy chowder in the winter… ya know, like all other chowders.
If you expect fresh sweetcorn in the dish, it would be made when corn is ready to pick...July and August.
🙏😎😋🥇
That’s a lot of starch
It’s too much liquid
Where's the bacon, needs bacon.😢😊
Why? Bacon addicts here?
Really!? Not!😅
She doesn't like too much greenery in her chowder she prefers to smoke it
never seen a worse recipe.
Martha!!! who in gthe world "peel" a fingerling??? c'mon!!! unnecessary steps
