Hope you like your KK as much as I do! The gnocchi was very good 😋, you’ve got me thinking what I’d cook first if I’d have come across my channel and I think I’d go with the ramen noodles - easy to cook, very tasty and so filling! 😋. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Neil
Couple of questions for you. 1)What size KK is that? 2) how easily does it clean up or do you do your major scrubbing at home? 3)cooking over a flame and regulating the heat takes skill and practice, how long have you been cooking on the KK? 4) do you have any issues with it soiling your bag when you pack up to head home? 5)if you could change one thing about the kettle what would you change? Cheers mate, I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great work!
Hi Matt. Good questions! First off though, thank you for checking out my videos! Here goes: 1. My KK is the scout ultimate kit (medium 1.2 litres) 2. I don’t find the stainless steel too bad unless I really burn it on, but that’s my fault not the KK’s! Usually a wash with soapy water gets it clean enough but every so often I’ll give it a good clean with a steel scouring pad 3. There’s been less than half dozen times I’ve used the kit and not filmed it so not that long really. Sometimes when it’s too hot I take the pan off the heat whilst it burns down, others times I’ll blow through the air vent with a small tube. I think the secret is adding fuel little and often to keep as even a temperature as possible. 4. TBH I usually carry any items covered in food back separately. Soot and ash in the bag I’m not that fussed about as this is minimal after a bash off 5. I’d love to see a titanium version 🤞. Other than that I’m more than happy with the kit - the design goes back around 130 years which goes to show “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” Thanks again! Cheers. Neil
@@parkitpitchitmoorit that’s friggen good to hear!! I just received my KK large base camp a week ago, though it had the hobo stove part but I guess not. Soon as I get that piece I’ll be giving this beauty a whirl and put it through some honest real life tests. Since it’s the large size it won’t go backpacking with me but rather the car camps and the back yard. Keep up the great work.
@@mattwilliams3101 that’s awesome you have one too. Hope you have as much fun as I do! The hobo stove is a real game changer, turns it into a cook system rather then just a water boiler (which it is insanely good at!). Have fun. Cheers. Neil
Thank you! Was very tasty, there’s no going back to boiled gnocchi for me! Yeah, I got lucky finding that spot, open access woodland (only a small patch) surrounded by roads with no parking and no footpaths - perfect for knocking up a delicious meal on the KK!
That looks wonderful, I will definitely try that myself., I've never thought of frying Gnocchi but it just goes to show what a little imagination can do. Well done, and keep those videos coming.
Nice video. I personally would love to see more of the Kelly Kettle getting started and seeing the feeding and fire coming out of it. Something meditative about it :) otherwise I’m quite interested in that little wooden tool you used to stir stuff. Did you make it yourself? Hint: would make a good how to video :)
Hi Seb. I too have wasted far too many hours staring at dancing flames 😂. You like my micro wonky spatula 😊! Something I quickly knocked up to protect a non stick pan! Cheers. Neil
When I’ll receive my KK Scout, that will be first recipe I’m going to do.
Great clip, as all you others.
👍😋

That looked delicious 😋
Thank you. It was! Fried gnocchi is so much better than boiled 😋
@@parkitpitchitmoorit I'll try it that way
