Thanks for watching. I did over complicate it didn’t I - was worth the effort though! I have made it at home since using bacon which tuned out really good too. Thanks again, hope you enjoy my other videos too. Cheers, Neil
Thanks for watching another video Jan. A tasty recipe for the Kelly Kettle but an easy dish to try at at home too. Would be a very quick and easy dish to cook if swapping out the meatballs for a bit of diced bacon.
Sorry for the delayed response. That’s cool you’ve got yourself a Kelly Kettle. Hope you have as much fun as I do. Thanks for watching, hopefully see you in the next one!
Thank you for watching another one of my videos. I do find (as with most things in life), the limit is the person and their attitude. Good luck experimenting and being adventurous with your kit - Enjoy! Cheers, Neil.
Thanks for checking out another of my videos! Not the healthiest or cheapest but I do like lamb as a meat - venison meatballs sound delicious though. Thanks again. Cheers. Neil
The Kelly Kettle.. is there nothing it can't do?! It's the best piece of kit ever. I'll never go on an adventure without it. You can boil, smoke, fry, bake (although I haven't baked on it yet). It's the most complete cooking kit ever.
I haven’t found it’s limit yet! Keep trying 😂. Hard to believe it’s design is over 130 years old isn’t it. And it environmentally friendly too 😊. Thanks for watching. See you in the next one 👍🏻
Thanks for coming back for another video! I really enjoyed this dish, incredibly tasty for how easy it was to cook. I’ll definitely be cooking that again sometime soon. Thanks again. See you in the next one.
I really enjoyed the video, if I'm ambitious in the morning I may take mine out to the river for breakfast and tea. I've never made a sauce like that before, it all looked very good.
Thanks for checking out my video. That was the first time I cooked a carbonara like that. I actually cooked it again last night. Not in the woods but it tasted great anyway 😋. Have fun out by the river! Cheers. Neil
So enjoy your videos, i finally got to use mine for the first time, gave it a test run at home on my bush land picnic area, with a jaffle iron and even a humble cheese and tomato jaffle tasted better, now that my place is heading into Winter I'm looking forward to using it more often.
Sounds like you’ve have fun already with your new set! I’m guessing you are in Australia, going into winter and cooking in the bush. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. I actually used a GoPro to film this one. Previous to this all my videos have been shot on an iPhone X. I think the GoPro has much better audio and coped with the wind better than what the phone would have. Thanks again. See you in the next one 👍🏻
Another wonderful masterpiece of an outdoor meal using the infamous Kelly Kettle! And made out in the elements, in Mother Nature, which can be challenging at times. I give due credit when credit is due .. It is remarkably genius the meals you prepare. I love the fact that you incorporated one of my my favorite herbs, Herbes De Provence, as well as shallots. Herbes De Provence also pairs well with pot pies, whether it be veggie, chicken, or turkey. Outstanding, my dear friend!
Thank you very much for your kind words, and for watching another of my videos! So nice for me to get out in nature and have some fun with the Kelly Kettle. Herbes de Provence are a fantastic mix of herbs aren’t they. I like them for the flavours and it means I don’t have to carry too many different herbs with me. Pot pie sounds good, wonder if I could do that on the Kelly Kettle 🤔
@parkitpitchitmoorit Hi Neil, Always good to hear from you my friend. I was wondering that myself about the pot pie because it needs to be baked once you've prepped and cooked your ingredients. Puff pastry may be your best choice. Quicker and easier! It would be amazing if it were possible with the Kelly Kettle pot with lid or a smaller Dutch oven. It would have to be a smaller pie I'm sure, similar to the ready made frozen ones. The aluminum dish they use would work well to bake the pie in. You could incorporate ingredients such as carrots, potatoes, peas, celery, onion, spices, your choice of meat and chicken broth and flour for thickening agent as well. If it can be done, only you will know due to your 5 Star experience with the kelly kettle. Wonderful meal you just prepared. Made me hungry 😋
@@jordon628 You’re too kind! Pretty sure I can give that a go though. I’m thinking if I opt for just a top crust I can cook the contents first and bake the crust by placing the fire bowl on top and baking the puff pastry. It worked with the apple crumble I made so that should work too in theory. I will of course use some herbes de Provence 😉
@parkitpitchitmoorit It will be just fabulous. I am looking forward to you making it. Have a wonderful and blessed day. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and protect you alwways in nature.
You liked it then 😂. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Hope you enjoy the other cooking videos on my channel just as much. Cheers. Neil
I have had to buy a gas stove because our country is so bloody restrictive on where we can use the Kelly kettle because of a few morons with motorway bbqs. Glad hou have somewhere you have permission for a fire.
The recipe was fantastic as usual, I too love to cook outdoors and I'll be giving this a go after the peanut noodles. You really should start thinking about writing a camping cookbook or pdf. 🏕
@@stevej7875 thank you Steve. Cooking outdoors is the best isn’t it. Not only is being outdoors great for the mind, food tastes so good as senses are heightened. Thanks for mentioning a cookbook, that’s definitely one of my goals one day! Cheers. Neil
Nearly! A traditional carbonara would have pancetta. I’ve followed the tradition approach though by not adding cream. It was very tasty and not as heavy as one with cream.
That looks good. I love how you make fresh food like this, you are inspirational.
Thank you! ☺️. Good to hear your getting something from my videos. Thanks for watching, see you in the next one 👍🏻
That recipe had quite a few steps to it but it looks like you did great on it. Thumbs up.
Thanks for watching. I did over complicate it didn’t I - was worth the effort though! I have made it at home since using bacon which tuned out really good too. Thanks again, hope you enjoy my other videos too. Cheers, Neil
After a nice long hike I came home to this wonderful surprise. Another great recipe to try out on the Kelly kettle. Thanks for the fun!

Nice pan flip👍
Like a pro 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching. I actually cooked this dish again at home last night 😋
Great idea-awesome as usual! Have not tried lamb meatballs or lamb anything. Need to give it a try. We usually do venison meatballs. Thank you!

Couldnt agree more, the way it all packs down into itself is so cleaver.
Once again, bringing gourmet to the great outdoors. Your videos never disappoint.

It is a shame a few have let the side down. The KK is my go to but I do have a Trangia as a backup. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Ahhhh, mate, you have to cut you finger nails.
Thought I was watching Nigella goes camping 🤢

Close, the actual recipe Is, spaghetti, Number 3 or 5, cured guanciale(pigs cheek), egg Yolk salto pepper and a grated grana.
