You guys are doing great. The layout is fantastic. Hope to see you at Allentown in 2025.
Thank you. We are looking forward to being there in 2025
Cool
Thank You!
Thank You!
Love that layout, one of my favs at any show! I really love how weathered and "populated" the whole thing looks, but man! none of those train ever stop at the stations to pick up customers, How do they stay in business ;-)?
Express trains and business mans specials, we have to stay ahead of the buses.
Awsome video love the layout what show were you at cause would love to see one day
Mad City Train Show in Madison, WI
Ah yes- the sound of a dewirement (1:30). No matter how loud the show, I will hear that sound (Pdtdtdtdt) cut through.
Is that the Dempster Street Station in Skokie at around the 10 min mark? What a magnificent model!
That is a model of the Mundelein station from Rindts Relics. He's currently working on the Kenosha version as well. He has the ability to do Dempster St. as well as they were variations of each other.
@@schmidty390 Indeed they were. What a well detailed job on that whole layout.
What brand of trolley poles do you find work best? Some look like Miniatures by Eric (now Bowser).
We mostly use Bowser poles, but there are some other manufacturers that have been used as well.
Bowser trolley poles are, by far, the best we’ve used. Perfect upward spring tension, has proper base for the brass bushings, and the shoes are good, which just need to be widened with a small file to remove paint. I’ve used other brands but all need work to make them function properly.
May I share this video on my channel?
Yes, go ahead and share the video with your page.
Were any cars hurt in the making of this video?
No electrics were harmed during the filming, all stunts were done on closed sets.
Very nice, but it would be more prototypical to run the cars through city streets and around curves slower. For me, HO is frankly too small. With all due respect, if this was O or G it would be awesome. The couplers are too long or mounted wrong on some cars. The gap between cars is too great on some of them. Was much buying going on at the Madison show? Others showed video of what the vendors were selling. I noted that your video was basically of the impressive Northwest Traction Group display. I love the fact that the cars draw power from the live overhead trolley wires.
The video was only of the Northwest Traction Group at Madison, with no video of the rest of the show. There were plenty of vendors selling there. We try to dial in the layout and get it running to the best of our ability, which means running at certain speeds.
How do you join the group
HO ?
Yes, Northwest Traction Group only models in HO scale.
@@schmidty390 I figured that out. I have a few 0 scale pieces I am working on
@@davidkoehler136 we're always glad to hear that the traction hobby is alive and well no matter what the scale!
The NWTG could go to O scale 🤔
