Australia makes for some thrilling rally action. Those hardwood trees right at the edge of the road are so dangerous - one mistake and your rally is over!
Courtesy of ewrc-results. Gronholm was fastest outright. Over 2 seconds faster than Peter Solberg. Gronholm in the lead as of Stage 2 by 1.1 seconds, with Solberg behind.
Pitkä = Long Pirun pitkä = "Damn long" Perkeleen pitkä = "F**king long" (The last two are not direct translations, because there are no similar expressions in English. And there's actually no "pirun pitkä" in this video, but it's part of their note language anyway.)
5:16 massive cut into an uneven jump that leads into a narrowing opposite bend, all in top gear. Marcus really was mental. As good a driver as Tommi IMO.
@@TheJokerit19 both 4 speed and 5 speed transmissions were homologated for 307 WRC. Marcus Gronholm initially was very frustrated with 4 speed tranny. We all remember his famous "Tell Corrado three is enough" when he won Finland with failed gear.

Маркус всегда мне нравился. Очень рассудительный спортсмен. Управляет спорткаром на высшем уровне.
you sir, are a god
good driver!
i have good stuff!will upload more videos :-)
I wonder whether Marcus liked the 206 more or the Focus?
206 is his favourite.
The last good rally car Peugeot ever made. And the sad part is the video quality of onboards haven't improved _that_ much in the past 20yrs. 🤣
307 WRC had 4 gears, 206 WRC in that video have 5 gears
Both have 5.

He could be faster if he could have understood what co-driver was saying :)
