    I'm Using the Green shampoo, Wonderfull product, Leave a streak free finish and won't mess up your wax protection. (Ultra Deep polish, Super Resin polish and then UHD wax over the top of that) Mirror Finish!!

    I use autoglym shampoo condition but use Bilt Hamber auto foam and their double speed wax. The double speed wax is alot better than autoglyms UHD wax. It lasts a lot longer too.
    The shampoo conditioner has a sort of rinse aid hence its easier to rinse off and dry and leaves a nice gloss. More foam doesn't mean better cleaning properties. Alot of manufacturers purposely make their products more foamy with less cleaning power as people think foam means the products better!

    • @SpeckyMcSporran
      @SpeckyMcSporran  4 года назад

      That's true, and I never judge a shampoo on it's suds but some people just prefer a more foamy shampoo. Glad you've found a system that works for you 👍

    I switched from the Gold Class to UHD about 5 years ago. It gave a noticeably better ‘glaze’ to my then BMW in grey.
    I’ve kept with it since then.
    I watch out for offers and stock up with 2 or 3 bottles when they’re cheaper.

    Mild corrosion-inhibitors are contained in green-label Shampoo Conditioner. This is the product I use. It cleans paint well and it beads very well on cars that are waxed frequently.

    • @owensteele1274

      Oh, I forgot to add. The Shampoo Conditioner never streaks after rinsing, which could explain the relative lack of suds, which might have been the intention for this product. Nice to see you using a black car for demonstration, and a very fascinating video. I still think the Shampoo Conditioner is the best bet, though.

    Excellent video! TBH I'm new to motoring, let alone detailing (always lived near London for much of my life and never really needed a car until recently), earlier this year I got a VW Polo 1.2 TSI DSG and the dealers supplied a bag full of Autoglym products. These work well, but it is good to see independent reviews (especially from the UK) of what can be an overwhelming range of different items (its changed quite a bit from when I was helping my Da wash his Mini in the early 1980s!)

    The bodywork shampoo and conditioner is the best of the 3 imo due to the water repellant abilities and it does leave a better 'shine' due to the optical enhancers going by past experience.

    Great video. I’ve been using the green one with the super resin polish and gloss protection on top for years, always excellent results but lots of elbow grease.
    Having seen the polar wash range I’m wondering if for in between washes there would be any detrimental affect to the super resin polish/gloss protection in using them? A bit of a mix and match arrangement.
    Or should I in the bottles, save my elbows and adopt the lance and just polar wash every time?

    • @SpeckyMcSporran
      @SpeckyMcSporran  4 года назад +1

      Honestly it's a personal preference. Some people prefer waxes and others prefer sealants. The UHD wax lasts a little longer than the sealant but costs more so you have to weigh these things up.

      I don't think you'll have any issues from using Super Resin Polish as the abrasives are very fine and mild. You can reduce the polishing to once a year if you keep on top of the wax/sealant.

    Quick question, can you see any harm after prewash routine using a blanket of foam for contact wash??
    I've been doing it and seems like got great lubrication to me .
    By the look of it would seem they do it this way in USA.
    Maybe a daft question I know

    • @SpeckyMcSporran
      @SpeckyMcSporran  Год назад +1

      No, it's not a daft question at all!
      The main reason we don't do it that way here in the UK is that we tend to have wetter weather meaning we have more grime on our cars flicked up by road spray. The harm would come from the fact that you haven't removed that excess grit and grime before washing it. We need the pre-wash stage to soften and break down the dirt so we can pressure wash most of the grime off the car before the contact wash. Once you've done the pre wash you can certainly wash the car with snowfoam but shampoo is more potent and will do a better job overall. Some shampoos can be sprayed over the car through a foam lance meaning you only need one bucket to rinse your mitt, so that's maybe what you're looking for. Hope this helps!

      I used to use the ghetto car washes when I had old bangers…. With this I’ve seen the degradation that’s caused due to the acid shit they use to spray on the waist high part of the car and wheels, promotes paint blowing from chips and rusts, degrades rubber and kills protection quick looks ok after they spray there quick wax on the panels and shine tyres with cheap solvent shine. When all that washes off in the first drive in the rain you start to see the damage all over
