Seems like something I would "buy for the kid" and then take it straight to the studio when the wife's not looking
Dude if your not already married marry me because same
Sounds like something my dad would do 😂😂😂

ikr, cuz I wish I knew about this toy sooner
No kidding. I try my best to follow along to Andrew's tech talk, but he just loses me real quick.
Cool, now I need a child.
I'm sure you could substitute yourself with one lol

Not gonna lie I find most babies awkward to be around.
*BUT NOW I CAN RELATE TO THEM ON A PERSONAL LEVEL OF CREATIVITY.*
very *COOL*
Cool, I'm going to get this for my niece.
*Look at price*
Maybe not.
I was thinking the same thing until I saw your comment.
Well music equipment is always rather expensive, most kids would likely be happier with an "old mcdonald had a farm" sound board
for everyone wondering the synth is ~330 bucks
Yeah I was thinking it might be around $150 wanted to get it for my friends kid. But $300+ is too much.
Bob_Dole trying to get liked
So... let's go fot Arduino and do it by ourselves!
"Connect this with out adult synthesizers!"
**pulls out modular equipment**
"adult" more like expert
U mean meat sceptre?
Honestly it's the only question I had, after realizing that I know no children to say I'm buying this for.
i saw this as he said lol
I thought he meant DAW or plugins. I guess that’s teenager equipment
Andrew makes better music on a toy synthesizer than I ever will 😂
Zasmie if you say so man
Don't be so down on yourself. Practice enough and you could potentially get "better" than him one day. If you keep the mindset you had when writing that comment you'll slow down your growth. Good luck :)
the key for me is to feel my creations as wonders for me :)
just because I mediate the materialization of them ◇
just explore yourself and your feelings during any artistic move you do ;)
consider ethics and holistic reality too ☆
@@deliannehal3233 Yeah art (especially music for me) has a very spiritual aspect to it too. :) Makes it a lot more special to experience. I love when music alters my headspace in ways that seem almost impossible, like with MGMT (especially their last 2 or 3 albums so far) and Shpongle.
he barely even used it in that jam
"He doesn't speak", however he says the brand name at aroun 1:00! :o You have a young padawan to care, Andrew :)
We didn't tell him to say that or anything it was honestly kind of freaky
Well they sponsored him instead of andrew
Bahahah I noticed that too

Finally I can use a synthesizer without accidentally opening a portal to the underworld
"I promise honey, I am buying this for our baby!"
Absolute real life scenario. 👌😀😁😂🤣
LMAO
I like the fact that they put all the keys on the same level. Children can get really confused by white and black keys because it makes them think there is some inherent difference between the notes of the white and black keys when it in fact just happens that we organize keyboards around c major. But getting that across can be hard, so the way they did it is way better.
"hey what DAW do you use?"
uhhh.... its complicated
Fischer Price
What's amazing is that this thing is actually a really awesome synthesizer and you can make some great songs on it meaning if you were to give this to a baby, they could grow up and still use it for later music production making it a great lifelong synth.
Baby: "D-.. Dato!"
Heart: *melts like cinnamon sticks in a pool of coffee*
I saw this awesome little synth in the kids section in the Museum for Musical Instruments in Berlin.
Spent most of my time in the kids section actually, making sick patches for the next kid.
Ithron5 yeah I found the rest of the museum to be underwhelming, almost no synths
I'ma need a 20 minute video of you and someone else jamming on this on your second channel. Okay, ty.
was part of the crowd-funding for this. Got it for my 9yo. Great form factor and lots of fun.
I’m so getting this for my daughter.. she’s only two months... but better late than never right?
Thanks for the vid brother!!! We Love love love your creations!

@@xmlthegreat Damn.... now i really need to get one 😂
That was fun, always good to see you on synths.
all looks great except for the sliders.
they will be gummed up with apple sauce goo within a day.
Seriously
I think it's for kids that you trust with a $ 300+ device. It's not rugged against destruction, it's just simplistically designed for intuitive play rather than fully having to grasp the concept.
whatchu know 'bout dem applesauce filters?

Isn't that pretty common? That's what happened to me

@@AaronRotenberg this is definitely infinitely more likely
He said Dato!!😂😂😂
Sounds like Daft Punk. Particularly their work on Tron.
That track at 4:25 goes REAL HARD BRO
That boost button at 2:35 sounds like the intro bass line to a final boss theme in a Sega Genesis game.
Even the baby has physical synthesizers while I'm still stuck using VSTis...

Andrew: So the Screeble Schlorp routes into the Jub Jubinizer which sends a quarter note delay to the Fllaaaaarg üp which adds a echo to the whole thing.

I got to play with one of these when I went to the Berlin musical instrument museum last year - been coveting one ever since. They literally are the most fun. Expensive, but fun!
is it bad that in feeling this would git perfectly for me?
Kermit no it’s okay Kermy me too
What?
I like the styling. It’s kid friendly for toddlers, but not to kid friendly that it looks out of place in a professional studio. It also plays nicely with big boi synths.
4 yrs old: plays with this thing
34 yrs old: The Tchaikovski of synth
Edit: thank u so much for the likes
If you thank people for likes you obviously have nothing good in your life. Pathetic.

Sounds pretty cool, recommended it to someone I know in a band called Twinkle Digitz who had two weeks in a row of supporting bigger bands in a 800 capacity venue for their kids to play with him
You really are a talented musician! 👍
You’re talking about the KID at the start right?
This reminded me when my daughter was preschool age we played with SSEYO Koan and Magix Studio sample library it was awesome. We also had a drawing pad that created generative music and a toy that created music based on motion and vibration sensors will see if I can recall from the memory banks.
Hi Andrew !!! I love anything what you doing what a talent. I have a question. Is there any chance you going to do a review of the synthstrom deluge?
1:37: really cool
3:39: yah yah yah

It'll probably be on Spotify
@@DavidDaliva Only ones that are actually official songs get put on spotify, because, believe it or not, putting things on spotify costs money.

Dato is sentient! At 3:40 when you are messing with crash and the frequency slider, auto-generated English subtitles identify that Dato says, “I’m not... I’m not... nothing.”
That small little beat in 04:09 immediately reminded me of Smashing Pumpkins - Eye :D
That was DOPE! I love the track. You should go a club tour, with DJ's. People's minds would be blown, seeing all of that modular gear. I haven't seen a show like that, since Meat Beat in the 90's.
When the 4/4 kick started pounding at 5:29 my body started to move!
The beat at the end is so so cool. Brings me back to when I was a kid listening to PS1 games OSTs with those sick 90s techno vibes :D
BABIES I SAY
You should record whatever your nephew does on your synth and try to make a song out of it!
Now every time I hear “delay” I think rob should play rain on this
No, he’ll play rain WITHOUT artificial delay and do it naturally because he’s a boss
Matthew Carlson yeah
The music Andrew made at the end sounds like it belongs in a late nineties - early 2000s racing video game
Yooo this thing will be totaly amazing for techno !
You’re so good at making these quick tracks on the fly based on loops that feel like they’re always evolving. HOW?! Please make a video on this
did anyone notice a really quick picture of isaac at 2:27? lol
I demand a video of your nephew rocking this!!!!... So I can show it to my lil brother who is 5
The ending gives vibes like daft punk in tron legacy. Great 👍
Usually I’m not big on Analog Synth instruments...but yeah this Awesomeness! Thank you Andrew for introducing us to another amazing piece of weird gear!
This would be cool for a blind person to use and play with when they are bored.
A blind person could probably use any synth that uses knobs for everything. Like minimoogs and whatnot
0:56 HE READ THE NAME OUT LOUD THAT'S ADORABLE
This is so cool and I want one. I would have loved this so much as a kid, but I can appreciate it much more as an adult. Awesome song there at the end too Andrew!
Now I want to watch a full-length video of Isaac exploring the controls...
Well... he probably got bored by it and there will never be such a thing, but still...
I love the mixture at the end, if you could release that, it would be awesome. It feels spacey
Love it, thx for the info on this great device
Imagine being so well known that you can follow a company on twitter and they just send you something for free 😂
I am a grown man. I want this. I just want to mess around with it.
I loved that funky lead line on 4:57!
3:49 caption OMG THIS FING CAN SPAEK
Wow! One year gone by so fast. I remember getting the notification the day it was posted.
at first, I read "out of babies"
this is singlehandedly the most adorable synthesizer i have ever seen
Andrew, you’re an inspiring dude, and a national treasure. 💫👌
Considering I've almost wrecked a computer or two trying to make music digitally, I feel like this is simple enough for even a doof like me to get a handle on the basics. Thanks for the tip andrew!
2:10 That sounded like Ford's jingle...
This is the cutest synth I've ever seen, I have such a humongous smile and I'm like tearing up too. I can just imagine this being so nice for a kid, and it kicks out really cool sounds!!!
I am making Film Music for my GCSE assignment. Do yall have any tips? Also, your nephew cute AF!
Eid Mubarak 🤗
Andrew, i think you are my favorite person on RUclips 👌 thank you for being you.
The tiny Casio I had as a kid is extremely jealous
We had this synth in class for a brief sound design workshop once. Very cool to play around with as UX designers ^^
It was in your old studio😍 #StillLovin'TheOldPyramidsFoam
This is honestly such a great design, kudos to the inventor. I can imagine it being super educational for a really young kid as I'm pretty sure I learned a lot of words by staring at my toys and pairing up the meanings with the pictures or words labelled on them. What a wonderful thing to put out into the world. I guess we'll have to wait about 10 years before we find out what kind of impact it has on its demographic!
Thanks for your kind words. This truly is a big compliment!
yeesh i know you look young Andrew but did you really have to call yourself a baby?
That tone at the end of the video is just sooooo cool.
Awesome product, always great when creative people think about younger children ^^
You're even a natural at playing a toy synthesizer. Is there anything you can't do
INSANE MIX @ THE END AS ALWAYS WOW
The fact that this thing, altho being a good idea with nice sound... costs more than a Behringer Model D is... kinda sad, to say the least.
This. Is. Brilliant. Hats off to the creator(s) & engineers! 👏
