The PO-33 KO is probably one of my favorite new pieces of gear in a long time. I made an entire album on it in about a week. It's just so easy to use and the workflow really inspires so much creativity.

You’re a great teacher dude! You’ve inspired me to start playing guitar again and learn more music theory and for that alone you have my gratitude. Keep the dopeness coming.
One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to take my skills as a software developer and explore what I'm able to accomplish in limited contexts (i.e. a simple programming language in a game). I assume these devices would be equally challenging and fun.
Lol I’m so confused it’s 1:00 in the morning and I started watching meme compilations and somehow got here I don’t understand anything that he’s doing but I love it
I think it quantizes the FX automation at the same rate as the notes, so you basically get 16 points per pattern. This matches how it handles the rest of the pattern automation at least.
Just to great. Bought 3 this year. Partially convinced by this video. PO-33 KO by far is the fave. Like a budget DAW in my pocket. Perfect for any travels. :) I am also working on syncing them with Koala Sampler
I just started making music and heard from you like 5 days ago, but I get why you have so many followers. Fun, dynamic crazy guy making fun dynamic crazy music
“I wish there was something like like this when I was a kid” Actually, there was: the talk boy from home alone could do a lot of the sampling and warping that it does.
Hey Andrew I just bought the the PO KO! I hope it's amazing! I have been wanting to get into Synths and making electronic music in general. I have had such a hard time figuring what to get, and getting confused in general with how equipment is explained. This was a great tutorial, and I can't wait to get my device to play with and try to learn! If you have any other recommendations please make more videos on them. I need to learn, and I want equipment you trust!
A HANDBAAAAAG!? You made my week back in March, but it didn't catch up to me until today. Your deployment of the Importance of Being Ernest bought you a subscriber today. Thank you very much.
Limitation is exactly why I love the PO system. I have the PO-24, Office, learning how to work within the limitations of this device has actually made me create some really fun beats. I cannot wait to add a second operator. Really don't know what I want yet. Kind of leaning towards the KO.
Great video! I've gotta get the PO 33 now! Pocket operators are so awesome I had my PO-20 for a couple years now and just realized that it supports midi beat sync up with other synths. My mind is blown with how much ground these cover, yet so simple, and easy to use and super inexpensive.
THE EDITING on this was more than superb; I haven't laughed at one of your videos quite like this before. Bravo! "If you haven't already" Mom's spaghetti Handbag-etti?
@@VICKERY- relative to other equipment, no. I think people get annoyed when they see how much brick and mortar stores are marking the popular ones of them up, and when they get an impression that these are some kind of groovebox. They're practically toys, and that's fine. With that in mind, relative to something like an app, e.g. nanoloop, they're quite expensive and honestly a bit of a pain to use with serious intent. Though i'd be happy to have one on a plane or something, sure.
@@VICKERY- also, I wonder if these aren't just largely identical hardware devices flashed with different firmware. If you did want to use these and only these to produce, it would be great if you could pay some amount to license firmware and then reflash them to be the ones you need. If you're interest in three or four, the price quickly adds up.
Yeah , 4 polyphonic doesn't matter if you are actually trying to create a decent track on DAW. You'd be running the individual me channels onto their own tracks. Worrying about that would.pnly be if you wanted to use this.as a toy.
Andrew in the things you didn’t go over page, you said that you can only have a metronome whilst recording on the speak. If you press record and bpm on the ko it creates a metrenome
These are insanely cheap for what they do. You would have to buy several other pieces of gear to do what this does all-in-one. If you’re looking for inexpensive, check out some free DAW’s.
Let's just take a moment to appreciate how small those devices are. You needed SO MUCH MORE back in like 2000 to be able to do all that. Imagine how further can this technology advance in the future. I dunno, it's fascinating.
