Serious question... is it really frustrating to work with an instrument that is so unpredictable and you can't just get right to what you want? Or do you just have to deal with surrendering yourself over to trial and error until something sounds good? The latter is usually difficult for me anyway.

Andrew I think I've hit a wall. I started to try to mess around with the PO-33, and I feel like I just don't know enough to make music. I am trying to learn, but I've only made like 3 decent BG tracks with them. I know it's a "toy" as people call it. But I thought it would be a good beginning point. Which I think it has been.
The physicalness of the PO-33 really helped my understanding, but I want to do more. I want to understand how to do audio effects for voices, and learn good beats, and great effects in general. I'm a bit lost. I know it's unlikely for you to see this, as so many people love your wonderful content. But I just had to vent a bit, and try to think this over.
I've very passionate about creating, and I will eventually grow. I just might need help.

The board connector sockets are not designed for long term push/pull action/abuse by patching. You can check life cycles on any data sheet on an electronics dealer site. If you are not good at de-soldering, then my tip would be to buy some extra sockets , plug them in the existing ones as standoffs and abuse them. When they wear out then replace. It will save a lot of grief , extending the life of the instrument.
