The hype on these reeds is legit!! I've played on a handful of different brands and BSS is king for sure
Have you tried their tenor ones at all? I'm thinking of picking up some but I don't know if they're for me.
@@acdgamer7292 they're great aswell! If you've ever tried Rigotti Golds they come from the same cane and those reeds are legendary aswell (I swap between both brands on tenor personally but both are great)

They instantly converted me as soon as I tried one too. The consistency is serious. I can immediately tell when I'm playing on a non-Boston reed now.

You just get better and better!!- I used to use Vandoren green Javas (which I heard were designed for David Sanborn) and they only lasted for one gig, then, I started using the V16 which lasted a while longer. D’Addario has me hooked on Jazz Select for studio and Reserve for live stuff. They can take a ton of air night after night and have good, solid hearts.
I'm currently using green Javas. V16s were great on a previous mp I owned. Like you, I really them lasting longer than other reeds. The ones I have now are too hard for my current mps. But you got me interested in trying the Jazz Select and Reserve reeds. How do they compare?

Question: when youre playing on 2.5s, are you playing with a looser embouchure to allow more vibration? I find that softer reeds pinch off for me, but you seem to be able to get a great sound on both.
