Becky, I am an 8 year survivor of stage 3C Melanoma. My first melanoma was found on my back, at about the same place as yours was. Then a second mole below my first mole was also determined to be melanoma. I had 3 surgeries within 3 months and a sentinel lymph node biopsy as well. I was offered Interferon at that time, and declined as I was in (1) denial, and (2) working full time and felt like I couldn't take the time off to do Interferon for a year. Skip ahead 4 and half years, and boom, the beast was back. It returned in my scar line. I had another surgery and agreed to be in a clinical trial that was for Interferon or ipilimumab. Well, I drew the interferon. It was definitely my lost year, or as I say, my year of hell. Three months after completing the year of hell, the beast was back in December 2014, again on my scar line. I had radiation to my back, 20 treatments in all. I have not had a recurrence since Dec. 2014, but am ever vigilant. I was 52 years old when first diagnosed. I am now 60 years old, and retired because of the side effects of the Interferon. I am glad you did not do Interferon. May I ask what drug combo you are taking? I love your vlog and am binge watching it to catch up LOL. I am trying to get back into life again and am very interested in your eating style and exercise program. I lost my 34 year old daughter last year to undetermined cause and have been eating very poorly. She was the light of my life. Anyway, just wanted you to know my story and let you know that you are quite inspiring and keep up the fight girl! Never miss a derm appointment. When in doubt, cut it out I always say!

I am so sorry that the Drs dropped the ball. The same kinda thing happened with a relative and it may cost him his life. Because of your videos I had a. Mole checked & removed. Came back ok but was worried.
