    I am enjoying your channel. Thank you for praying for your viewers! Christians do not have a spirit of fear!
    I too have an Ank mixer (easier to say) and love it. Ordered the red one and boy is it metal flake pretty. Makes me happy every time I use it. Keep going!

    I also have the grain flaker attachment and absolutely love the oatmeal I make. I also add the freshly rolled oats to my bread. I make oatmeal in my Instant Pot and it is so convenient. I roll a heaping cup of oat groats and add 5 cups of water. Optional add ins are honey, salt, cinnamon, milk powder, and dried fruit. Set Instant pot for 8 minutes. This makes enough for my husband and myself where my husband has two bowls, love the Akarsrum and plan on getting more attachments.

    I agree with you - if one has the $$ and the space, get both an Impact Mill and a Stone. Because I make everything from scratch with whole foods, I feel it’s reasonable to purchase both. We’ve had ours about a year. We have the NutriMill Classic (impact, very fast!), and the NutriMill Harvest (stone). I like the smaller footprint of the Harvest but will never give up the Classic. Back in the day - 1960-70’s - we had a real stone mill, not corundum. It was difficult to adjust, clean and use. Mills of today are wonderful! Totally agree with you about oat groats! Flaking our own has been a game changer both in taste and nutrition! We have the MockMill Flake Lover. Love it! Glad to see your channel growing. You offer good info! Thanks and Happy New Year 2024! 🎉. BTW, hope sometime you’ll do a vid on sources for grains and storage tips. The more options we have the better. ❤

    Thank you very much for taking the time to explain how the ankarsrum works. I have been contemplating that machine and want to buy one. I too have a kitchen Aid, but I believe I will be happier if I do an upgrade.
    Thanks for sharing.

    I recently got the Wondermill from the Bread Beckers and LOVE it...! I checked out all the company's suggestions and they say the best thing to do for maintenance is to pretty much leave the setting on BREAD rather than pastry or course. So glad to find a sourdough baker in Central Texas (where I am). I hope hope hope you use cup measurements, etc. rather than the metric weighing thing. Just my vote! Very nice channel. Thanks! P.S. I have a Blendtec blender that is over 20 years old and it's GREAT for making corn into a course cornmeal, grits, etc.

    Love the channel! I have been milling for about a year. I love the you use a Ankarsrum!We say it the same way. I have the silver one. It is so helpful to see people make things in the same mixer.
    I also have a Wondermil, but I also have a Nutrimill stone grinder.
    I would love for you to do a video on your oat flaker. I’m thinking about getting one for Annie, what we named our Ankarsrum.
    Keep up the great work!

    Oh my goodness Robyn, I just found your channel and love your videos. Your style of teaching is clear and to the point, but you don't leave out any details. So, thank you!! I would love a video on the Mockmill. I have had mine for over a year and have not used it once. I don't know where to start. I bought it so I could make grits for my husband and cornmeal for cornbread. I have tried to find a video that tells you how to do that, but so far, no one has had a detailed video such as you do. Would you please consider doing a video or at least tell me what number you use for the grits and the cornmeal. I am looking forward to watching each and everyone of your videos, I need to catch up with the rest of your followers. Thank you, suzie

      I have just made a video going over the basics of the Mockmill, how to take it apart to clean it, and reassemble it. I will get it uploaded by tomorrow if not sooner. But next week’s video will be on making cornbread and grits together! I would have done it this week but I already had a Pullman and mini loaf pan video in the works, which I made today also.

    You are such an excellent teacher, so very thorough, and I love that kind of teaching! I think a video done by you on that Mockmill cleaning would be really helpful if you find yourself wanting to do it at some point. I see a lot of people confused by it in the online forums, and with the way you teach, it would probably help a bunch of people. I really enjoy your channel and am so glad the algorithm suggested it to me last week. And hi from north Texas (also not originally from here)!

    We are in our 4th month of milling. I have the Mockmill 200, and love it. I'm interested in using different grains, like millet. So far I've just added it whole to muffins. Could you do a video on how you use millet? Or other grains, and uses other than baked goods? (We've made cream of wheat, but my husband says his belly doesn't feel so good after eating cream of wheat.) Thanks!

      You are right and I've tried it, I just don't think it's coarse enough.

    Hi Robyn really enjoying your channel. I can’t wait to try some of your recipes. I was blessed with the Ankarsrum original mixer for Christmas!
    My speed dial seems loose and toggles a bit. Not firm like the timer dial. Is second dial (speed) have some give n movement on yours?
    Also the dial on WonderMill I found out is not a coarseness of flour selection button it’s to open up the space for coarser grains to go through like dent/field corn to get through to grinding

      @realfoodgoodfood  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, how wonderful you got a mixer for Christmas! Neither of my dials are loose. You should call the store where you or whatever wonderful person bought the mixer, they should be quick to help.

    Nice video. Perhaps it's just me but the Wondermill sounded a lot louder and ear piercing than the Mockmill. Could be the mic placement

    Do you use fresh milled flour with sourdough?

    • @realfoodgoodfood
      @realfoodgoodfood  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, I have used hard red and white wheat berries and also mixed rye in a few loaves. Not everyone enjoyed the rye flavor so I stopped using it.
