I’ve looked at cost for most of the attachments, but I found that they were less than the mixer itself. If that’s not your case, then you must’ve bought your stand mixer at a BARGAIN! P.S. if you don’t mind my asking, just how much did you pay for yours?
My husband just bought me my dream mixer and I'm excited to start using it. already have the accessories on my Amazon wish lists lol this is gonna make things so much quicker in the kitchen.
Not only quicker, but easier…Shredding cheese, kneading bread and even making incredibly fluffy frosting is physically impossible for us older folks. I love my Kitchen Aid!
This is my most used appliance in the kitchen other than the stove. We buy chicken thighs for $1 a lb and make our own ground chicken. I used it to mix my meatloaf. I put my ground beef in with taco seasoning and slowly ad a cup of water while mixing. When I fry my taco meat it crumbles up easily. I also have the juicer. I bought both of my daughter’s 5qt kitchen aids with meat grinders and scraper paddles for Christmas 2019.
This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.
Thank you for your video. Mine is the stand mixer and love my KitchenAid and use it often. The problem with doing what you demonstrated is, the KitchenAid attachments are not affordable to many of us, so we use old school methods. My manual cheese grater is 50 years old, is in great condition. Even new, the manual graters and other tools are a mere fraction of the price and usually affordable for those who don't have deep KitchAid pockets. Just my opinion and not worth much, but I think KitchenAid needs to understand that.

The video is just meant to show a sampling of other things that you can use it for. I don’t work for KA, I just love mine. @@ArtFromMyTableI was going to purchase a Food Processor as my 30 year old one broke, and I loved that thing so much. The alternative and cheaper way now for me is to buy the attachments for my Kitchen Aid. Can’t wait to buy the grater and perhaps pasta maker….
I had my Kitchenaid mixer for over 20 years, I use it daily. I bake bread 3 times a week less salt no additives. Takes me 5 minutes, less time than going to the store. At Christmas it's a life saver!
Just used it to knead two loaves of French herb bread this morning. I’m over eighty years old with RA in both wrists so actual kneading is not a good option for me. I hand knead just a bit in between risings to punch down and shape. Love my KitchenAid!
I really love using my KA and attachments, definitely worth the investment. the sheet cutter is a waste of time in my opinion. Most useful are grater, pasta rollers, grinder/mincer, sausage stuffer, fruit strainer, serialiser for peeling apples, ice cream maker. Most useless, citrus juicer (quicker by hand) fruit/veg sheeter (pointless), corn/coffee grinder (too small), can opener (It’s not that hard open a can and I never have so many I need a machine), ravioli maker and pasta shapes make (wastes more product and time than anything else ever). All attachments are only worth using if you are batch preparing otherwise the cleaning up takes longer than the time to manually prepare. You can often pick up KA attachments on preloved sites because people buy and then don’t know what to do with them! Grab some really great bargains.
We use ours to shred meat for chicken/beef & noodles, I mix up my meatloaf & the egg mixture to my egg bake (the wisk is perfect for this part, makes it nice & frothy), & for the attachments, the spiralizer is my favorite, I use it for Mom's apple crumble & it's wonderful. We have the sheet peeler that Hubby got for making roll-ups.

Maybe other people will chime in with their experience.

Okay, I was interested in how to shred chicken. But you went from an empty bowl to a bowl full of shredded chicken. What do you need to do with the chicken first? Cook it? Cut it into chunks? Use only deboned chicken (breasts, boneless thighs)? Or can I just turn on my mixer with an empty bowl and shredded chicken will magically appear? I mean, give us a little more context please.
Hi Doug, I'm happy to answer those questions for you. This video is more of a quick overview with ideas. You can get a few more details in this video, ruclips.net/video/sF30YN5jP2Q/видео.html at the 6:21 mark. It does still go fast though. Here's the details: This is for cooked boneless chicken that you'd like shredded. You can cook it on the grill, in the oven, crockpot, instant pot, or sous vide (or any other way you can think of). While the chicken is still warm, place it in the bowl with the paddle attachment and turn it to the stir setting. You can go up to speed 2. After a minute or two it will be nicely broken up. The chicken doesn't have to be hot, but it should still be warm, it works much easier that way. I can do up to about 4 breasts at a time. It will depend on the size of the bowl you're using. If you get it too full they might escape out of the bowl. ;-) I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
Was wondering the same but that’s brilliant!! I had no idea you could do that & im making pulled pork today. Got my 7qt bowl last week & haven’t used it yet so guess what I’m doing tonight??!! 😁 Thanks for the tip! PS: I even saw someone mashed potatoes in it...game changer!!

Shredded chicken salad: it worked super, just like you said. What a surprise when the warm chunks of chicken breast, pickles, celery, etc slowly mixed together. The paddle worked the meat around and apart; all the while, mixing the mayo and such into creamy sandwich mix. It was dump and go because the machine did all the work. It was actually fun, and I have never had better chicken salad. Thanks, cr
My kitchen aid isn’t tilt head and it’s having a burning smell lately. I don’t know what’s going on?? I have loved it for 7 years now it’s red and the bowl sits on pegs and it does fall off on occasion?
I thought I replied to this, but I don't see it showing up! I would definitely reach out to KitchenAid on this, that's not right. I've had mine for over 20 years.
@@veronicapatrick1011 how frustrating!! What did you decide to do? I had a Bosch mixer but because the KA was my go-to and I already had invested in attachments I just didn’t use it much. But maybe a consideration for your needs? I’ve heard good things. I’m so sorry about your experience.
I was very disappointed in my Artisan stand mixer until i cam across a youtube video that showed the adjustment screw that you see when you tilt up the head - just a 3 degree twist of that screw and my mixer works SO much better! Can you maybe show this to folks in your next video? - I can't find the youtube posting that showed this - let's spread the word
I get it Taryn. For me it depends on the occasion, if I just need a little, it's easy to use a hand grater, but if I'm batch cooking, it's worth it. :-)
Great question! Here's a few ways: 1. You can get a splashgaurd for your stand mixer. KitchenAid makes one, it's just a plastic cover with a pour spout. It's not very expensive. I have one, but couldn't find it when I shot the video! My kids put it in the wrong spot, LOL! 2. Drape a towel over the top of the mixer, so it is covering the top part of the bowl too, that will catch splatter. 3. If you're making whipped cream, start it on lower and turn it up as it begins to thicken. Hope that helps!
Bit of a misleading title. Everyone's capable of looking up what the (somewhat pricey) attachments can do.... The video should have been more in line with the first tip on chicken.
If you're looking for more info on the attachments it comes with, check out these two videos. ruclips.net/video/sF30YN5jP2Q/видео.html ruclips.net/video/JKLhUEw8sJQ/видео.html I hope that helps! I know it's an investment and not one I take lightly. It's just one of my favorite things. I DO NOT work for KA, I just like it. :-)
Love your video! You show meat already shredded. My question is did you put in chicken breast whole then it shredded it or did you cut up the chicken breast? Once again thanks for the insightful video.
Hi, I put the chicken breasts in WHOLE. They are boneless, skinless, and it's important that you do it when they are warm. Cold chicken won't shred near as easy. Glad you liked the video!
I have finally decided to buy a kitchenAid and looking at reviews here on youtube. I just found another channel and the youtuber had so many negative things to say about it-- I was surprised because most people say they LOVE their kitchenAid. May I have your opinion on the KitchenAid. Do you have the Matte white? I love all the colors, but still considering getting a white one--but I see there are so many different whites. Matte white, plain white, white on white
Hi Bee, I fall into the LOVE my KitchenAid camp! Mine wipes up just fine, but it is an older model. It's about 20 years old. they certainly didn't have the choices then that they do now. I've never owned a 'matte' one, but maybe stay away from that if people are saying they are hard to clean, unless you really like it. I find that the mixer part of mine (not the bowl) really doesn't get very dirty. If you can get one with the splash guard, or add it, it's nice tool for keeping things from splattering.I know there tons of options, not only on color, but on size and model too. I hope that helps! Best of luck choosing!! No matter what you get, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I have 2 KitchenAid Stand Mixers and I have the Slicer/Shredder Attachment for them! I just wish the Spiralizer and Veggie Sheet Cutter didn’t cost an arm and leg! And I shredded chicken in mines one time!
It can do all that but using attachments which don't come bundled with the expensive mixer but need to be purchased and these attachments themselves are very expensive.
You're right, these are extras. I love having the one appliance and adding them rather than having a separate appliance for everything. But that's just me. :-)
Marcel from Montreal and many others who responded, Chellie has the information you wished for about uses for the basic equipment on her channel. "Creative Uses For Your Kitchen Aid Paddle Attachment" and "Creative uses for your KitchenAid Stand Mixer attachments {wire whip/dough hook}". She said she doesn't work for KA, she just likes to cook and enjoys her mixer.
So many rude comments made by viewers. Why do they bother watching? The kitchenaid is a great mixer and I have all the attachments including the ice cream maker. Love it.
@@cyndimanka I have a separate ice cream maker (green mountain I think) so I just don't think to get the kitchenaid one, but I"ll have to look into it, maybe it will be smaller to store.
Some of us have an ice cream maker and a lot of other appliances separately from other companies so doesn't make sense to also buy duplicates just so they fit this machine. I was given kitchen appliances as gifts when younger and don't use often enough to have them break.
But another 100s of dollars for the attachments. I have a kitchen aid and use it. Have the meat grinder art, the salad maker, the pasta maker, the juicer and all the other attachments are unfortunately fun, but terribly expensive
They are expensive, but you do get what you pay for. They are great quality. For me personally, I like having one small appliance that does so much, rather than having several small appliances for different purposes. Like a spiralizer, for example, it's so much easier to store an attachment than a whole appliance.
Glad to see that you are using the Kitchenaid Classic model! So many people think it's a status symbol to own a pricier model which you don't need according to Consumer Reports! The CLASSIC model gets the best review! And, sorry folks, the money you save by buying this model will enable you to buy an attachment or two! Skip the Dunkin Donuts coffee and you will be able to afford an attachment! Or, better yet, ask for one for Christmas and the Christmas after. Sorry folks, but I was taught that if you can't say something nice, don't bother to say anything at all. Great job, my friend! Keep up the good work! I'd rather watch videos like these than watch the all the garbage on TV!
Yeah, they want$200 for the food processor attachment, I can get a good processor that I don't need to use my mixer for like $50-$60 and its powered by itself
They’re definitely not cheap. I’ve found that I prefer to have one appliance that does many things rather than many appliances. Totally a personal preference. 😊
Thank you Shelly! for sharing these tips! although the $$$ for these attachments, for me, is not worth the trouble it takes to set up and clean up,, you have inspired me to dust off and try out the disc slicers that came with my Kitchen Aid mixer. Love the recipes! thanks again!
I'm a big fan of using what you have too! It's always a balance... Do I want to use a gadget to make my cooking process quicker (then I spend more time cleaning) Or, do I want to take extra time cooking and have easier clean up. :-)

Everyone with a Kitchen Aid knows it can do just about anything with the correct attachments. The title should read “5 Things Your Kitchen Aid PLUS $300 of Attachments Can Do for You”
Not very useful. Not only are the attachments expensive, but some of them just don't work very well (see other RUclips videos from reputable sources) compared to standalones. I've got two KitchenAid mixers and love them, and I've tried most of these attachments at one point or another, and I've found that there are other faster, cheaper and better ways to do most of these tasks.
Do you mean which KitchenAid model? I actually don't know, but what I can tell you is it's about 18 or 19 years old! The current ones are even better, as they've added touches to make them even better. You can get different size bowls, bowls with handles, the unit itself has options for lifting the bowl up... it's endless. I'd love a shiny new color, but this older model still works fantastically!
I thought you meant things you can do with just the mixer - not having to buy multiple expensive extra attachments which is pretty obvious if you buy the grater attachment then you can then use it to grate!!! Misleading in my opinion.
This one certainly has gotten some mixed reviews. After this one, I created more videos showing ways to use the attachments that came with it. Check those out!
You should not be grating high-moisture mozzarella. High moisture moz works best in dishes where it's sliced or chunked. If you are one of the confused masses that attempt to use high-moisture moz on pizza then you are doing it wrong, you need to specifically look for low-moisture moz unless doing something specifically like a Neapolitan pizza where you use chunks - not shredded - of high moisture moz. If you try and cover a pizza entirely in the kind of mozzarella you have there it will be far too soggy and nasty.
I looked into buying some of those attachments and most of them cost more than what I paid for the mixer..I'll have to pass.

Thanks for sharing this! A great point. I can certainly talk about that in my next stand mixer video.
How about the Meat grinder and Sausage maker? 7 things
There are SO many things! Thanks for bringing that up.
I hate getting it set up and washing all the little parts just to grate cheese.
I get it Taryn. For me it depends on the occasion, if I just need a little, it's easy to use a hand grater, but if I'm batch cooking, it's worth it. :-)
Enjoyed this! Just got one! Thank you!😊💞👍
Oh good! You’ll love it!
How do you prevent splatter?
Great question! Here's a few ways: 1. You can get a splashgaurd for your stand mixer. KitchenAid makes one, it's just a plastic cover with a pour spout. It's not very expensive. I have one, but couldn't find it when I shot the video! My kids put it in the wrong spot, LOL! 2. Drape a towel over the top of the mixer, so it is covering the top part of the bowl too, that will catch splatter. 3. If you're making whipped cream, start it on lower and turn it up as it begins to thicken. Hope that helps!
You can also make apple roses with cinnamon and sugar, then pop in the oven.
YES!!!
Spiralizer looks like a drildo and k mixer can also mix cement
Bit of a misleading title. Everyone's capable of looking up what the (somewhat pricey) attachments can do.... The video should have been more in line with the first tip on chicken.
Not a good title. You can’t do these 5 things with just a mixer! You need to spend over $1000 to be able to do these 5 things!
Marcel from Montreal exactly!!! Disappointing
Thanks for saving me time !
Exactly. She works for Kitchen Aid.
and no free shipping
Exactly. Should read: 5 things Expensive Accessories for your KitchenAid Can Do to Clutter up your Cabinets. (Good name BTW)
Great video. You rock!
The kitchen aid without all those attachments , was what I was looking for . I git the machine but those attachment cost a bomb
If you're looking for more info on the attachments it comes with, check out these two videos. ruclips.net/video/sF30YN5jP2Q/видео.html ruclips.net/video/JKLhUEw8sJQ/видео.html
I hope that helps! I know it's an investment and not one I take lightly. It's just one of my favorite things. I DO NOT work for KA, I just like it. :-)
Very good thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Love your video! You show meat already shredded. My question is did you put in chicken breast whole then it shredded it or did you cut up the chicken breast? Once again thanks for the insightful video.
Hi, I put the chicken breasts in WHOLE. They are boneless, skinless, and it's important that you do it when they are warm. Cold chicken won't shred near as easy. Glad you liked the video!
@@ArtFromMyTable these are cooked breasts? Would it work with thighs? Thanks.
@@eddieagha5851 yes, they are cooked. It will work with thighs if they are skinless and boneless, as it will with any other boneless meat. 😊
@@ArtFromMyTable thank you!
So you're telling I could be shredding chicken with just the paddle attachment! I'm glad I found this.
YES!!! That's exactly right. I have several videos on all the things you can do with your KitchenAid. You may want to check out that playlist. :-)
@@ArtFromMyTable except you did not show this, you just videoed shredded meat in the bowl, didn't see you add the meat
@@joforrest1 Maybe this video will give you a better view. ruclips.net/video/sF30YN5jP2Q/видео.html
Thank you for what you brought forth.
Wow! Those Fruit & Veggie sheets are amazing! I had no idea a KitchenAid could do that. Thanks for this
Yes! They just came out with that attachment last summer. :-)
Not enough detail on how you attach and use these attachments
Check out the video on just the paddle attachment, I go into more detail there.
Cookstore.ca sells a lot of Kitchen Aid. They sell all over the world. You might be able to get it 0n sale.
I was hoping she would show how to connect all these tools.
Elda MacDonald thanks for the feedback, I will include that on future videos.
I guess that will be another vlog after coffee
showgirls around the world a dancer family The boxes have instructions printed on the boxes.
I love my kitchenAid and the different attachments I have.
YAY! One of my favorite tools.
No matter what you get, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
one dreams of having a kit aid mixer, someone can make my dream come true I am from BRAZIL SÃO PAULO -SP THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE DEUD BLESS US
I have 2 KitchenAid Stand Mixers and I have the Slicer/Shredder Attachment for them!
just buy the attachments that are around $60 a piece AT CHEAPEST!
Great tips! Thanks a lot :)
My pleasure!
So many rude comments made by viewers. Why do they bother watching? The kitchenaid is a great mixer and I have all the attachments including the ice cream maker. Love it.
Thank you for this!! The ice cream maker is on my list. 🙂
Art From My Table I have the ice cream attachment and have never used it. You have to freeze the bowl and I have no room for that. Maybe some day.
@@cyndimanka I have a separate ice cream maker (green mountain I think) so I just don't think to get the kitchenaid one, but I"ll have to look into it, maybe it will be smaller to store.
Art From My Table oh. I see. Well it’s not from not wanting to lol. I have so many gadgets
Some of us have an ice cream maker and a lot of other appliances separately from other companies so doesn't make sense to also buy duplicates just so they fit this machine. I was given kitchen appliances as gifts when younger and don't use often enough to have them break.
Great video. I learned some things from it for sure.
Thanks!! So glad it was helpful 😊
Thank you! That was very informative!
That vegetable sheet slicer would be great. I make carrot fish nets and that would be so much easier than the way I do it.
I thought I responded to this, but I don't see it... sorry for the delay. I'm impressed you're making carrot fishnets!!! You rock!
I tend to be practical, but true confessions: I would LOVE a new one in a fun color. But, this one is still going strong. Thanks for your kind words.
Thank you!
Lovely, thank you 🙏
Great ideas but.... the cost of the attachments will quickly supersede the value of the mixer! 😐
Yeah, they want$200 for the food processor attachment, I can get a good processor that I don't need to use my mixer for like $50-$60 and its powered by itself
Would love if you show how to clean it as well. I hate to take out my kitchenaid mixer just for one Zucchini and had to wash the entire machine.
I’ll add that to my future videos, thanks.
Yooo that chicken thing actually blew my mind
KA gadgets take up a lot of space and are expensive.
They’re definitely not cheap. I’ve found that I prefer to have one appliance that does many things rather than many appliances. Totally a personal preference. 😊
Art From My Table I have the spiralizer and apple slicer and they come in a really sturdy box that holds each piece. .
I love the shredded chicken one
That's my favorite! It also works great on pork or beef.
We cant afford the attachments Karen!!
Karen🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Chicken Salad Apple Wraps?!? /runs out to see where to buy a veggie sheet cutter OMG that sounds awesome
LOL! Did you get one yet? I love it to make a lasagna too. I replace the noodles with zucchini or squash, just because I eat more low carb.
@@ArtFromMyTable just picked one up. I just bought my KA, so baking has been the #1 priority. But after 8 days of high carbs I think I need to go full veggie :-)
I love the cheese grater. Thanks for the video
Your welcome!! The cheese grater is awesome!
Awesome vid!
what a Classy Lady. i have 4 kitchenaid mixers that i refurbished one i won on Deal Dash for $6.00. i was going to make a Strawberry cheese cake but i forgot to buy vanilla extract.
Thank you! 4 kitchenaid mixers?? I'm trying not to be jealous! :D
Everyone with a Kitchen Aid knows it can do just about anything with the correct attachments. The title should read “5 Things Your Kitchen Aid PLUS $300 of Attachments Can Do for You”
This video spoke right to me!! I need a meat grinder attachment which I'll really put to use. I'd also like to get a food processor attachment.
This is an extensive deposit splay of the most absurd applications if an kitchen aid 😂😂😂
Wow I didn't know I could shred meat with my mixer 😅thank you!
You’re welcome! I do it all the time now.
And it can break eggs is this an experiment?
TYFS
Something tells me Karen got a whole bunch of free Kitchenaid attachments.
I don't know who Karen is, but I've paid for every single KitchenAid thing I have. I just love mine. I WISH they would send me some free stuff though!
@@ArtFromMyTable 'Karen is an uncomplimentary title name given to a particular type of woman. You'll find the answer if you Google it.
And that concludes our video on turning the4 mixer I got for free into a bill for $200!
That hairdo has defeated every manager in the tri-state area.
Which model is this your using?
Do you mean which KitchenAid model? I actually don't know, but what I can tell you is it's about 18 or 19 years old! The current ones are even better, as they've added touches to make them even better. You can get different size bowls, bowls with handles, the unit itself has options for lifting the bowl up... it's endless. I'd love a shiny new color, but this older model still works fantastically!

maybe not yours!
Check those out!
just like in car sales...it's in the options that they bend you over and give it to you ungreased
Love this!
Thank you so much!! It's truly one of my favorite kitchen tools!
@@ArtFromMyTable you're welcome! I just got a Kenwood Chef XL and I'm researching attachments... I might get a KitchenAid artisan for my workshop.
Lol....for 5000.00 and a one year warranty and lots of storage you have the perfect tool.
I’m disappointed that I just found out I can’t use the ice cream maker on my 5.5qt Kitchenaid lifting bowl
Mixer
Oh no! That is so disappointing!
Great video... thanks for sharing!
You Just remember Eddie Murphy Betty Crocker aka Betty See Rock ER /// Better Recognize Never bite the hands that feed them
some of these attachments cost more than the mixer itself, I demand to speak to ur manager.
