    This one's gonna hurt... I don't really want to sell my Ford Model A, but I know it has to go for me to chase the next dream, and I am just hopeful that one of you guys wants to take it home. It's a hefty bill, but it's a hefty truck, and I'm confident you'll never see anything else like it.

    I do A lot of work on small motorcycles, 2 stroke engines from 50-100cc. Those baby torque wrenches that measure to small inch pound numbers are an absolute must have in that world. Without them you're warping heads, stripping case bolts or being too cautious and have parts vibrate loose.

    You most definitely can drive a Jerico transmission in traffic like nothing once you get used to it. I did it for years all over SoCal in a 69 Nova with 700HP. The trick is rev matching and you have to be quick when you shift. If you're slow it will grind like hell. The faster you flick the shifter into the next gear the smoother the trans will shift.

  • @lucyandemilysdad
    @lucyandemilysdad Месяц назад +3

    Mike, you've got to start using a vice more often when you're cutting with a grinder. When/If your fingers (or hand) are removed as you slip or the blade smashes, your builds are suddenly going to be a whole lot harder.... I love what you do mate and I want to see you doing it for a long time....
    All the best pal 😉👍🏻

    Hey Mike, I've noticed the annotations with the tick boxes are scaled over 100% and look fuzzy. If it's After Effects simply turn on the coninuous rasterization for that layer, if it's not then maybe just scale them down to 100%, they'd be smaller but at least they'd look crisp. Love the videos, just wanted to point that out as I've noticed it on a few videos in a row now.

    There's probably over 60k in parts currently in the car, not even including all the revisions and the fact that you can't even buy many of them at any price. The right person shouldn't remotely hesitate at 80k.

    I bought a torque wrench which goes down to 1 Newton Meter. Dearly needed when you wrench on carbon fibre road bikes. You can easily ruin a four figure frame by over torquing one single bolt. Some are repairable, some don't. Gladly my favorite bike (BMC) has all the torque figures written next to the bolt.
    It is really funny how you search any advantage when you can't add power to the engine (yourself). You focus on lowering any resistance slowing you down. Wheels (rim shape/weight/tires) are a huge factor, you can up your performance quite a bit. Still, your the engine and gladly that improves while driving.
    And that is what I love about you, your work and the videos. You use your brain and analyze the job at hand and makes it happen. You have enough knowledge to come up with a good plan, sometimes you need to revise it but you show it all. Building a car around wheels is my kind of lunatic.
