"You are starting a war with me George and I'm trying to moonwalk with elegance."
Such a great line
It’s not clever at all to me. Script writers are trying to be Tarantino and it’s just cringy and god-awful. “Moonwalk with elegance”. C’mon man!!
He's saying "move on with elegance"
@@selfgen2guess you just lack what he’s referencing-Especially if you found it “cringe”-What are you like 20 😂That word is used to describe every damn thing nowadays like come on folks get some new vocabulary-it’s overused and played out 🥱
@@CNBatno he isnt look at the scripts
It means walk away with elegance. Moon walk was a term of the time in the UK. Just because your apart of the pedophile capital of the world America doesn't mean the world has to abide by your opinion
I love how all throughout the movie, we're reminded that Mickey and his lads are ruthless folks but they still behave like Gentleman. The way he handled Lord George and sending his message to the Dragon is just pure class and cold blooded as well.
They mistook their kindness for weakness, but apparently they're times when a king needs to remind a fool WHY he's king
@@nikkimiddlekillsday5161 Well I mean it was Dry-Eyes, Lord George didn't even know. And you get the feeling Dry-Eyes was willing to move on anyone.
We're told a few times that Mickey has a reputation for being vicious, so I don't think this is that. I think Dry-Eyes was just on the move
I never thought much of Matthew McConaughey as an actor until I saw this movie.
He is.... incredible.
Then I assume this is your first time watching his movies ? Dallas buyers club, interstellar, mud ?
@@potato6216 I was literally about to say haha. Poor kid never having come across MM before
Dazed and Confused, Sahara, Tropic Thunder, Magic Mike, Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club, Free State of Jones, Gold, the Dark Tower, The Gentleman. True detective
To name a few worth watching....
@@tobiasmccallum9697 The Lincoln Lawyer
alright, alright, alright, hold on a minute. Is that really what you thought?
For someone who runs a heroin operation, I couldn't help but feel bad for Lord George the most in this film. Guy was just minding his own business, and minutes later he's puking his guts out all because of a subordinate who went behind his back. Then when he confronts said subordinate, he's killed. Rough life, but then again that's the game they chose to play
Exactly. I feel like Lord George actually respects Michael and will never want to go into a war with him.
But that's the point - that he's not controlling his subordinates well enough. This was Mickey giving him all of the gentlemanly courtesy.
@@georgikirov9197 I'll have to agree. Didn't think of it that way. At the same time, I'll still stand by mine. It was only Dry Eye who should've been gouged.
You play, you pay
Now that's how you threaten someone.
If I can get to you in your own kitchen, then I can get you anywhere. Damn.
“I can get to you in your own kitchen, I can get to you anywhere” the best line ever
Nice Line
“Is and always has been destroyer of world”, the emotions connected to this line are just ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Yeah that part was more horrific than the actual poisoning
Yeah considering all the lost souls in real life who have died, are dying right now and will die soon. Im one trying to quit
@@Sonceria it is possible, just stay strong and resist as hard as you can, and i am saying this in confidence because i did it and so can you.......
Guess drugs really are the final frontier
@@SonceriaBest of luck to you. 🙂
“You’ll be fine I’m an hour or two, long enough to consider your past indiscretions” Absolutely Ruthless In the most Gentlemanly way.
"Never deal with heroin or its users
Its a mugs game"
-Rise of the foot soldier
God that's a good movie
I love how his hair and beard look like a lion's mane. True king.
Mickey: "Sweet Mary Jane is my vice of choice, as you well know. Of course, I'm addicted to selling it, not consuming it."
Matthew McConaughey's real-life friends: LMFAO!!! 🤣😂😅😆
Such a good film! Proper modern classic
One of the best scenes in a practically perfect movie
I like how George has the decency to turn his head as he threw up.
Mickey was a ferocious badass in this movie
Definitely my favorite scene of the movie, the threat is awesome and how he struggles not to shoot him, but for me the is the father wailing from loosing his soul of his only daughter… just brilliant .. 💔
So glad Matt was able to get roles like this. For the longest he was just a goober actor. Then we got to see the real actor. Especially in true detective. God damn that was a smashed role.
Matthew McConaughey’s silent menace is really something else.
Mickey Pearson, Rust Cohl, or even The Man in Black…nobody can do it better.
Awesome been trying to find this scene so good love the way MM takes a deep breath and calms himself even though he clearly looks like he wanted to shoot him Awesome movie great scene
are you retarded?
I love how he says is that what your here to talk to me about tea!!!lol halrious
Lmao! Cracks me up every time I watch this scene.
Love it ! If I can get to you in your own kitchen, I can get you anywhere.
Brilliant movie.
One of the best scenes in the movie
Man, when script and actor come together .... Aw right, aw right.
Favorite moment in the movie
Fizzy biscuits lmao
LMAO!!!
What the fuck were you thinking George
Just realized that he was also a George when Charlie was the king of England in 2017.🤔
Also, what a terrible thing to do to your former sensei.
I was wondering if I was imagining that.
Me encanta Mathew mcconaughey, es un buen actor
I must watch this movie.
It’s primo stuff
I love the movie one of the best but if they made it without the British guy taking like he is telling a story
1:03 No one gonna mention about they either coincidentally or literally referencing Oppenheimer?
"Now I am become death, destroyer of worlds" is actually from an ancient religious text, the Bhagavad Gita. Oppenheimer quoted from it.
I’d applaud Mathew’s performance but I can’t spell his last name
What the fuck was he thinking?
FIZZY BISCUITS!
Rules*
The only négative point in that moovie is that i never understand why other barons did not have any soldier like mathew is the only one to have active soldier it was bit of strange ( george and the jewish do not had any résistance )
Because Mathew's character isn't a baron. For the purpose of this analogy he's closer to a duke. Michael has an air of legitimacy and connections to the actual establishment. He knows nobility and rubs shoulders with cabinet ministers. For all that he's American he spent enough time in England in the right places and the right schools to be plugged into The Old Boy network. The UK is class stratified and runs on favors between the upper class. Michael does favors for the upper class and they in turn do favors for him. His entire business is built on favors. He's not a gang boss like George is, he's a fixer for the unsavory parts of the system. The system in turn is willing to drop a file in his lap or look the other way so long as he keeps it quiet. It's why the film is called The Gentlemen, that term has cultural history and baggage in the UK. There's two types. The drunk wastrels of comedy routines since the Victorian Age, and then the rogues gallery of backroom deals that do things like create the SAS. One look at Michael and we know exactly which type he is. Michael being considered a gentlemen in the UK means something beyond how he carries himself.
I am George we all George
Buster Moon?
Press 1:43 and 2:13 for Chow 😂😂😂
Whatcha watching on the Telly?
Isn't this Kung Fu George from King Arthur?
What's the song name when he starts vomiting
Mr George, how much you pay the cook? Twenty dollars? Is too much she no good.
Did Laura die? Not sure about that...
I want to know the behind-the-scenes for that. It really look like he projectile vomited.
the way its shot he probably hard a tube going up his shirt and tapes to the side of his face for 2 or three cuts that plus actors will fill there mouth with canned beef stew to start the vomit
It’s “rules”, not “rulles”.
Matthew is menacing here. Love it
I dont get it... with scenes of the woman
she overdosed on heroin after they retrieved her
watch the movie
The girl who OD was the daughter of one of Mickey’s associates who he help bring home but she was a drug addict and eventually succumbed to her vice.
It underlines Mickey's point that Lord George's facilitation is pretty much participation. He has blood on his hands much like everyone else in the game.
What did he spike his tea with ?
Shigella
That was some cold as shit
