Fascinating composition!! Many facets, beginning with a Presto which is urgent, fiery and beautiful. The contrasting Adagio is luxurious without being staid. Backhaus invests it with the whole of his expertise and fine musicianship. The Finale is jaunty and spirited. His touches of pedal and nuanced dynamics add to the beauty of his imaginative phrasing. Wunderbar!!
The more you listen Haydn, the more you like it. At the beginning, when I heard some divertimento, somehow it wasn't for my taste. This set is beautiful and works well together.
@@PUN.N I find because it's so fast it lacks variety in character and expression. There are many different parts that can be played bright or with elegant with legato and this is too much the same.
