While I still think we could’ve used another movie or two to flesh out this universe before a big finale, I do like that the heroes are spread across a whole multiverse. Not everything needs to be neat and tidy and contained in one reality. I dig that Pre-Crisis vibe and I hope the MCU sticks to that as well since they’ve kinda been doing the same thing.
While this movie isnt perfect, i absolutely love it as a Flash story. Optimistic and hopeful with a tinge of tragedy. Something like this could redeem Flash in Gunn's new DCU

@TheCommunicationCoach Making it about a displaced Supergirl compared to Superboy was probably for the best. Wasn't expecting the love angle with Braniac 5 but it got me.
@@kamen_mann TY. I just want them to label things accurately and honestly. I've seen the Supergirl/Brainiac romance done much better in simple episodes of the series, and that was enough. I don't mind either of them, but when I buy a LEGION of SH movie, I expect it to be about that primarily, not some new attempt to bring some silly romance into it constantly; it should be named Supergirl and Braniac with the Legion or something then. DC already ticks me off as I have most movies which don't even have chapter selections, which makes watching them and finding different parts to rewatch become tiring and irritating. DC just is so cheap, and I'm tired of it.
@TheCommunicationCoach Fair enough. I don't even remember her becoming Harbinger. Watched Warworld after Crisis part one and was like "Ah, explains the spread in Crisis" Making Wonder Woman Earth One and The Legion as a possible future was the consistency I was looking for
What is great of the animated dc movies is that they are linked, but only slightly. And you can enjoy each on its own. But if you see all, you get kind of get it. But, it is not all explained, you have to tie it together.
This genre is at its best when it uses the heroes to portray the best in us, and inspire -- but it also requires deft writing and a sense of consequence to keep it from feeling flat or puerile, but in doing so they have to balance it with not losing the central premise. As a result, a lot of stories have fallen flat over the years, but every now and again they strike gold.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, I went in expecting to be disappointed like I was with the Warworld film but honestly this one was enjoyable, and the idea of tying all the animated universes together was a genuinely cool concept I didn't expect.
Throughout the film, I was distracted by all the characters, the peculiar animations and the universe jumps. Only when Barry's timeline made sense (near the end) did it all clicked for me and I was very impressed by how it was structured. It's not perfect but I think this was a big endeavor to write such a story like that and I appreciate the respect they give to the audience that they would get it.
After watching this video I suddenly remembered the song the "Ballad of Barry Allen". That song was also one with a very sad narrative, it makes you realize that having such powers are not really an easy thing.

I could be wrong about a third part, but there's not gonna be a further exploration of what comes next within this continuity, it'll be the next animated cinematic universe.

I feel like I'm being flashbanged every time they happen. Not sure if there was a reason to changing to the orange, but I definitely prefer the old black ones.
Idk how people are complaining about this movie when it's: A- a really faithful recreation of the original story, while telling its own new, compelling tale B- only at most 1/3 of the way released. It's a 3 part movie which makes sense given the massive scale of the comics event.

Doomblazer created a bad image for this movie because of the plagiarism allegations of stealing a Black Lightning art which was all allegations but not proven. I really like that all these new dc animated films are largely separate. We get a taste of the wider DC universe but you dont have to watch 20 movies to understand everything, unlike the mcu.
What is very sad is that HBOmax still hasn't released it in Brazil
A very "Slaughterhouse 5" type movie.
Really hyped for part 2!
not just sad...but very very dark and sad...iwas expecting some badass action like crisis on two earths
Didn’t even know these movies existed now I am excited
What's mostly disappointing to me is that this is it for the tomorrowverse. There's gonna be a part 2, and maybe a 3rd part I think, I forget. I could be wrong about a third part, but there's not gonna be a further exploration of what comes next within this continuity, it'll be the next animated cinematic universe.
I haven't seen this movie yet. Been kind of on the fence with this universe after what they did with Hal Jordan. But this about convinced me to give it a shot - thanks.
Loving your content as always, but I had one minor critique for this video and the previous one: the text cards with the orange backgrounds are really rough on the eyes. I feel like I'm being flashbanged every time they happen. Not sure if there was a reason to changing to the orange, but I definitely prefer the old black ones.
Idk how people are complaining about this movie when it's:
A- a really faithful recreation of the original story, while telling its own new, compelling tale
B- only at most 1/3 of the way released. It's a 3 part movie which makes sense given the massive scale of the comics event.
Both actually, fans can be dumb
The art direction and animation are sadder
Oh I never realised that the wizard was constantine
I'm glad you're talking about this movie since I think a lot of the discussion around it is pretty narrowed and lame so far.
How so?
Please never quit.
Pause at the 5:24 mark and you can see commander steel/nate from legends pop up In the video
I think you're confusing him with the original Captain Atom when he was still owned by Charlton Comics.
That intro ...... these youngers won't understand, but WoW
thank you Leo Dryden
dope video! I saw a lot of hate on this movie after I watched it and I fucking loved this movie haha it was a good time, made me go back and watch the pre movies
With the latest release, it got way way sadder.
it's very sad how BAD and incoherent this movie was
Incoherent? How?
I loved this movie so much.
This movie was very good, im very excited for the next part
Need to watch the movie now
0:22 I fell off my chair laughing
Now that damn laugh is stuck in my head 🤦🏻♂️
THAT WAS CONSTANTINE!?

There were definitely some good moments in this film like the ones you focused on the Amazo story and flash and iris story but this movie is a mess, jumping back and fourth and being boring up until the final act
What's the outro songs name?
this movie looks like a flash animation no pun intended
I can't wait for part 2 mainly I want to know who is the Batman Beyond voice actor
Same ol Will Friedle.
And turns out Kevin Conroy managed to record something for Part 3.
the ending needs work but close
Not enough Flash in this universe imo
I watched only the first 20 minutes of the movie. Based what I had seen so far, it seemed okay, though I hated how they portrayed Hal Jordan. Regarding the video itself, that was awesome, and made me more interested in watching the rest of the movie
Doomblazer created a bad image for this movie because of the plagiarism allegations of stealing a Black Lightning art which was all allegations but not proven.
That RUclips short popped off and it basically gave the audience an excuse to poke holes in the movie because it did something bad allegedly.
I really hate how smug he is nowadays
Okay reading all the comments makes me question my view on the movie, i know it had a goal there but i feel it was executed poorly
I think i'll rewatch it then come back and view this video so see ya'll till then
Did anyone notice they brought in steel from legends of tomorrow
1:00 he said amazo not siri
