"Good night Freddie, we love you!". Tears in my eyes...still in 2022
Ditto!
Same for me. Imposible not to cry with this last song of the tribute concert for say goodbye to greatest musician of all times.
The fact that Liza is singing a song that Freddie wrote…I can only imagine how he would’ve felt. 😭 he was a big fan of hers. As a fan of both Queen & Liza, I love this way too much!
Everyone looked so young and in their prime! How did we get so old!?😥
We should feel blessed to grow old. So many have gone to soon in this crazy world.🥰
Bowie, George Michael, I can barely sing a song front my ,20s...but I love them more than all!!! 💕🌟 Don't forget Sir Elton John! He survived, been involved in all kinds of charities, and he lost his friends. Dear Elton, you're great, love your music, saw you about 20 times in concert worldwide, but you have a HEART bigger than the Moon! Happy new year with your loved ones, kids, husband, friends 🌟💕💓❤️🌹🌟
...and there are few gems around us: Sir Elton John, saw him 22 times live, HE is awesome! And a great Heart ❤️ he wishes to end his farewell tour, postponed due to COVID-19, and retire with his son's and husband, live his life.... AND she stopped her career, but greater than ever, Tina Turner 🙏❤️💕🌹🌹🌹👍all the best, for the people that enjoyed David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, George Michael...and many others. They remained in our hearts, and even if I drop a tear , it is worth listening to them.Forever!
Time flies away my friend 💜
Is Freddie the greatest pop rock star that ever lived.??.
I just realized something: all of the performers at this concert were either Freddy’s closest friends, acts Queen were influenced by, and acts that were inspired by Queen.
I watched this live on TV as a teenager. This concert still blows me away
This honestly has got to be the most beautiful thing I've seen so far as a music enthusiasts, all of them coming together to sing this nearly brings tears to my face
I know the feeling this one doesn't bring tears like that
But Elton John and Axl Rose doing Bohemian Rhapsody makes me tear every time.
Two people on the opposite side of the board coming together to do a duet
A lot of people don't know we wouldn't have guns and roses without Freddie
Only Freddie's soul could gather so many talented people on a stage.
Watching this I get sad but also I am happy because of the music will always exist in my life. Freddie you are a beautiful man 👨 ❤ 😍 ♥
Liza never disappoints. RIP Freddie we miss you.
With Roger she couln't 😉
Colund't*
Eh ... you know what I meant 😉
Freddie brought them all together. Long Live Queen.
I love that, as soon as the song was over, Robert went over to Roger to shake his hand. It must have certainly meant the world to him considering Led Zeppelin were Queen's heroes, but also taking into account they'd both lost a 'brother' within their respective bands and were connected by pain and grief, yet there they were, supporting each other. Bonham was Taylor's favourite drummer and Plant was Mercury's favourite singer, so there's that!
Astonishing the number of artists that came together to show their love, respect and admiration for Freddie. This was an outstanding show. Miss ya' immensely Freddie.
Absolutely right, there was unprecedented, and at that time, AIDS was a horrible stigmata...so they have did it for Freddie, also everyone was wearing the AIDS-fight symbol, the Red Ribbon...and a remarkable absence: The Pet Shop Boys, in their great days, refused to join the concert ! 🖕
It was imo the end of the greatest era in music 78-92. Great times in general.
She is just amazing. She looked so good here. Time just went to fast RIP Freddie.
It’s been nearly 30 years since I’ve seen this. I’ve been HIV Positive for 25 years. I have to go out tonight. A party. There’s a sort of reunion. I’m tired, I don’t feel so good. I came here for inspiration. I do a lot of things these days out of sheer willpower- knowing somehow Freddie and my lost friends would want me to go out and have fun.
I wish you all the best and I honestly hope that you get well soon. Despite the fact I don't know you personally , my thoughts are with you. I hope everything goes well. Honestly.
Sending you love and light from Dallas TX. Take care.
I hope you are doing well. Wishes and prayers!! ❤️
You are amazing! Bee well❤
Be well and enjoy life
When I was younger and first seen this, I thought "Liza Minelli? Huh!?!" Now that i am older and understand the love and respect he had for her, I think this was the perfect choice.
Nunca habrá un concierto tributo como este, todas las leyendas vivientes se reunieron para homenajear y despedir al mejor cantante de todos los tiempos Freddie Mercury.
Man, what great talent. Freddie would be very proud of this performance. RIP bro
YES, dear friend!
Wow that crowd the noise and appreciation is phenomenal.
Liza takes completely-over at 2:05. Unbelievable performance - -
as usual.
I love Liza's look in this performance.
i like how she acknowledge George with a hug, who was happy at the side just being part of Freddie's day
Just be part of his day??? He blew the whole concert away with his version of Somebody to love...he wasnt just part of the day. He was the day....
INMORTAL
Freddie was “the day”.
Oh My God!!! Freddie would have been honored!!! Just WOW!!
Liza was fantastic.
Liza is a national treasure
Perfectly fitting for the woman that Freddie Mercury always looked up to and gained a lot of inspiration from to be included in the tribute to him.... I know he is smiling down from heaven with a huge smile watching Liza Minnelli perform this brilliantly...!!! 🏆💋 Just like the true champion she really is...! 👍🏆👍
Yes! Freddie is up there with her mother Judy
What a tribute to Mercury's energy and what he meant to us - Bringing so many icons together. Even crabby Axl Rose is smiling ear to ear.
Freddie was one of his biggest influences
@@regnetexitium2247Yes, and not remotely crabby at that point, having released 2 albums a few months before.
Diva Liza Minnelli!🤩
Only Freddie could put together all the big names to sing for HIM!!! 💞🇬🇷
A true STAR who can jump in and sing like she belongs to the band with her powerful voice and stunning looks.
Liza 'Brought it that marvelous night"for her great fan and friend Freddie Mercury in his Honor ♥️She truly cared for him😪♥️👍♥️
30 years ago, this was one of the enormous memorial concerts in the history of the world. Bar none.
She looks stunning.
She's stunning
Whos that?
Thinking about things lately. I remember this concert. I remember Liza saying hey Freddie we just wanted you to know we're thinking about you!!! Now it's 2022. I'm not in a mathy mood but I think lady Gaga might not have even been born yet. She is nicknamed after a Queen song...then Liza becomes her fan. And then gaga helps her make an Oscar appearance to celebrate Caberet...and gave us such a lovely moment of helping Liza announce best picture. I don't know it just feels very full circle and Im very happy that there is such a lovely thread of not just talent but compassion woven here. It is so moving to watch.
Lady Gaga was born in March 1986, so she was about 6 when this came out.
@@sralyn in which case I wonder if she watched it and what if she longer to be part of it? It's all speculation unless we ask Gaga but I think it's still cool. She was probably a weird kid who always knew she'd be a star and I can see her watching in her little footie pajamas. It was an entire day long concert.
Look at all that luscious hair!!!
Man I was thinking the same when I saw this-- especially when Slash leans into Brian May to say something...their heads of hair became ONE!! LOL
Man, I love liza. G O.A.T.
She looks fabulous and an amazing performance.
🌈 Revisiting this during PRIDE...and I'm in tears again over Freddie. But this closing number is ridiculously exciting and goddamn Liza looks and sounds great!! Not too many people can sing that song having lived it. She can. Plus who else but Freddie could bring together the likes of Liza, Slash, Axl and Roger Daltrey together this magnificently?? We may have lost you way too soon for our liking, but you're in a better place, Freddie, for sure💔
Estuve el groso de grosos Robert plant
I was there standing about 10 rows back and Miss Minelli went down a storm!
El mejor concierto y homenaje de la historia a nivel mundial
I grandi come loro restano il nostro ieri, oggi, domani. Li ascolto e la commozione mi rimane come una volta. Grazie.

These performances were great . A lot of them were friends of Freddie, many had worked with him and /or Queen, all were fans. I believe he & Liza were friends. I seem to recall that she attended some of his famous parties.

Well done Liza...you have the perfect voice for this and you do Freddie proud ..
I remember seeing this live on TV with my mom and sister when I was 12. I loved Queen and hated this rendition. After it was over, I put on the original song on the CD. My sister cried hearing Freddie's voice so beautifully singing this. It still brings tears to my eyes today.
Amazing
Brought me to tears. I'm one of the lucky longterm survivors. Makes me want to give back to humanity.
