Mallorca travel: Our October trip to Playa de Muro and Alcudia

We visited Mallorca in October for a last-minute family getaway, staying at the four-star Iberostar Playa de Muro www.iberostar.com/en/hotels/m...
I booked a package break with British Airways which included flights and hotel, half board, for what turned out to be the ideal autumn break. With an all-you-can-eat buffet to enjoy at the hotel twice a day, tennis, the beach, outdoor and indoor pool, spa and more, we also loved venturing out to the old towns of Pollenca and Alcudia. All in all, the perfect break.

Oh my goodness I'm just CRAVING a trip to the sun. I'm thousands of miles away from Mallorca, so the Caribbean is much closer to me, but between me and my husband working 7 days a week trying to keep our NYC restaurant afloat in the aftermath of the pandemic, a vacation seems so very far away..............

Thanks for the video. We are planning to visit Mallorca from Oct 8 - 15 this year primarily for the beautiful beaches. While we understand that it is not summers, could we expect some sort of beach vibe during this time of the year? Is the water warm enough at the beach for a swim? Thanks

I hope you have a wonderful trip! At that point in October you will still find sunbathers on the beach and plenty of people in the water. I didn’t go in myself but although I think it would feel cooler, it should still be doable.

The average daily temperature is around 23 degrees celsius and there are around 6 days of rainfall in October so you could expect if you went for a week that there might be one or two days when it rained. Temperatures are very pleasant though

@@allanbrighton9033 Enjoy! We were only there a few days but enjoyed everything listed in the video. The old town in Alcudia is lovely. Well worth a visit
