I am not a professional and this isn't the only way to take care of a tattoo, there are many ways. All of my tattoos have healed perfectly using these steps and methods, so for me this procedure works amazing and i hope it helps all of you.

I really appreciate your videos. I know this is old but the day by day is super helpful. Honestly I had no idea the healing process. I did so much research on who to go to and what I wanted and where, but no research on aftercare! I'm learning alot.

This is the exact process I have done with all of my. Both arm sleeves. Legs. Chest. And they all look fresh and bright still today. Thanks for putting this out there. More people need to do this.

Yes. I’m lying. I literally have both legs sleeved. Both arms. Full back and chest. I’ve done that same process everytime and my tattoos look amazing and bright. There’s other reasons it didn’t heal right not the process if you did it right.

Do you still wash the tattoo when it’s flaking or peeling ? or just go straight to the moisturizer ?
Just got my first tat on Sunday. I love it. So far the only itching I have is opposite of where my tattoo is lol. The tat still hurts in little places but I wash with soap and water twice a day and use very minimal amounts of Aquaphor
Day 3-4 def best info on when to transition to lotion. Flaking equals don’t rub.

So when we get to this stage are we still able to run soap into the skin for washing or should we dab it instead?
So I just got my first tattoo yesterday and before I went to bed, I forgot to clean it. I just kept it wrapped. The person who did my tattoo, actually said that it'd probably be best to keep it wrapped overnight, solely because the ink will stain my clothes and bedsheets. He also pointed out that I could use A + D ointment after cleaning it with soap and water.
I would recommend hustle butter tbh for after care and about the whole having it wrapped up you want to let the tattoo breath
So when you say “3 moisturizers” you mean moisturize 3 separate times? In the same setting? Or 3 times throughout the day?? Cool tats btw
You have some sick tattoos, and your vids have been a huge help and good information as I just got my first tattoo and it's a full sleeve as well. I was wondering do you have to wash the tattoo everytime before moisturizing? I'm on day 4 right now and it's starting to get really dry, flakey and tight.
Thank you and so glad to hear they're helping you out on your first tattoo 👊🏼 yeah I always wash it before I apply mosturizer. If it's really flaking id say to switch over to once, maybe twice a day of washing, waiting 30 min and Applying a thin layer of lotion

JustINKD definitely! i had my half sleeve done 5 years ago, then i finally pulled the trigger and got it shaded last week and my forearm done a few days ago. these vids have definitely helped! lol

Bro ALL your tattoos looks amazing!!! Love all your tattoo videos keep making them! One question when do u think it’s a good time to stop using paper towel to dry it and stating use you’re towel and sunblock?
mac kue I would recommend using the paper towel drying method until it's healed and done flaking. Maybe you can switch over to a towel after the first full week continuing to Pat dry and not run it up and down like you normally would. Sunscreen is best left until completely healed after the 2-3week mark 👍🏼

Could understand from the video.
Peeling/ flaking is just the old dead layers of the skin coming off. Totally normal and what you want. If you’re scanning it’s just an area that had more damage to it and healed differently. Those areas are not to be picked and sometimes need a touch up
Im on day 4 ive peeled alot today alone i was washing my tattoo and so many flakes came off, i was gentle used my hand. Lines look a little patchy now and im worried 😭

Thanks for joining 🙏🏼 and glad you were able to enjoy the video. For a tattoo that big I think you can still do it the same way with Washing and mosturizing but if it's to a spot where you can't reach on the back then maybe I suggest getting someone else to help abit 😅

Tip for using the aquafor if you wanted to use it for longer than the first 2 days is to rub it in your hands first and pat it in like you did the lotion 😀

Hello there I really want to put zeus face with compass on my outer forearm, it will be my 3rd tattoo, wife’s birthday gift for me. My 2 other tattoos are minimalist (2x2 size). Would it be painful? Do you apply moisture on a new tattoo during the three to four days? Or when the tattoo begins to scab, My new tattoo has not scabbed yet and it has been five days it also does not look flaky. I've been putting Aquaphor should I just jump to Lubiderm now?
Nice .... During your healing process did you wear Muscle shirts all the time or wearing regular shirts ?
I wore tank tops for the videos and whenever else I could so I was able to reduce some of the touching/rubbing against it but when I did wear shirts I wore nice open and breathable clothing 👌🏽

Hey bro I just found you, watched three vids so far I’m hooked, I have a question, how long should you keep your tattoos wrapped?
I just got my first tattoo Saturday and if your artist uses plastic wrap like u find in ur kitchen then you only keep that on for 2-3 hours after your tattoo. But if they use second skin or saniderm then that is supposed to stay on for about 2-3 days and then you start the cleaning/moisturizing after those 2-3 days
@@holdenc2636 I just took my second skin off tonight due to it starting to peel off on the corners. It’s only been a day and a half. I just washed it and put aquaphor on it. I’m guessing I shouldn’t wrap it back up? Just let it do it’s thing now?

I've got like 9 tattoos but it's been a long time since I've gotten a new tattoo. I do not remember how painful they were to heal. I am on day 3 and my arm is still quite tender and pink/red in some spots. Is that still normal? I see you patting your lotion on and if I did that I'd probably cry...lol

I wouldn’t use any healing ointment if you’re applying saniderm. Just clean it with soap

Sweat won’t mess it up, but if you’re sweating a lot then make sure to be cleaning it more than usual just to make sure its keeping clean👌🏼
Thanks for the video! I just got my first tattoo and I'm on day 4 now. I applied aquaphor today and noticed all sorts of skin flakes that came off when applying. Do you think I could've messed up the tattoo already since I rubbed in the aquaphor?

So if I finished up my sleeve about 2pm on Thursday then I should stop using ointment Sunday? And then switch to just lotion for 2 more days 3 to 5 times day? Then day 6 just once a day?
Yeah by now I'd switch over to the mosturizer. A good sign to tell when to chgne is when your tattoo starts to flake alot. When that happens switch over and use the mosturizer 3 times a day up until the 5th day, then after that only wash and apply mosturizer once
So im on day 4, at this point i’ll make the switch to reqular aveeno moisturizer if thats okay? However, do I still need ro wash it 3 times a day? My skin hasnt flaked yet or peeled but does feel itchy!

You don't have to after the tattoo is fully healed but in the two weeks or so leading up to being healed I would recommend to wash before 👊🏼

Today is the start of day 1.5 and I still see redness on the inner bicept toward the elbow. Acruallt my elbow area on inside had some swelling after the tattoo and all day yesteday but seems to have gone down a little. Is this normal? It doesn’t hurt or anything jsut redness that scared me a little!

1 hour after getting my tattoo done, I removed the bandage and washed it with antibacterial soap and water. After drying my tattoo, I applied a care cream. Do you think I did the washing and moisturizing process too early?
I would leave the bandage on for about 4 hours after getting the new piece. did your tattoo heal good?

I wash it everyday up until two weeks. I just cut it down from 3 to 1 around day 4/5 and then use moisturizer
I'm on day 4 and i was told to stop using the healing ointment after 3 days so it's my last day of using it. Thing is my tat isn't peeling yet so do I switch to the moisturizer? And how often do I apply it cause I heard the tat needs to breathe.
I would stop using aquaphor right at the second day of like mid day . Because you want it to breathe I love eucerin advance repair it works really good it helps it alot more than the aquaphor breath and healing is alot faster . I put like 4 times a day a mild coat

@@abrahamd3842 no problem, and wash it once or twice a day with a fragrance free soap, wait an hour for it to dry then apply the moisturizer. When u take a shower the water can run on the tat but try not to stay in there for long

Should start around day 4-5 to flake. And I’d wait until day 4 atleast to apply the lotion 🧴 👊🏼

Yeah it’s normal for it to scab. Happens to me every now and then. Don’t pick it just continue to wash and let it fall off by itself 👊🏼

Again I believe it's best for the tattoo to keep it out of harm's way and extend it out. Better safe than sorry

Pretty sure he said do it after its cleaned so yes keep washing. When in doubt clean it. You cant go wrong by removing bacteria
If the tattoo peeling started, how can I sleep should I wrap it or leave just leave it without protection?
You’re fine by then to smell like normal. Just still try not to scratch it by anything ( nails, SO, pet)

Man I’m the same what, no matter how many tattoos I get I’ll always be nervous. Just a matter of going in knowing you’ll wlk out with an amazing tattoo. Also distractions help a lot toop

Im on day 3 of my tat i wash it every morning mid day and night. Since i go back to work would it be fine to just wash before work then apply my lotion and wait till after work to wash and apply more since i can't wash my tat at work?
Yeah that’s fine to do. Unless you get really dirty or sweaty at your work, then I’d just step aside every couple hours and give it a quick wash

Mhmmmmmm I'm not sure, I find Vaseline is a very think and unbreathable product. But try and see, put very very little on
