What's your sleeping routine like after you're freshly inked? Share it here!
I apparently need a better one. Two weeks ago I got a half sleeve from my elbow to wrist .. and it got infected... the only thing I feel I could have possibly done was hit it on something in my sleep 😭😭😭 it’s better now but not anything I want to go through again.
I just put something on it to not be dry and then go to sleep as usual... Atleast when the tattos are new
My tattoo use medical tattoo patch (band aid), let it if possible for up to 4 days on your skin. I can shower and all things with it, after these days its normal after care. :)
Tattoos don't mess up my sleep routine unless we got done at 1:30 am.
I lube the fuck out of it and then sleep in any position that keeps it from touching anything, when I got the back of my calf done I slept on my front, when I got my forearm done I slept on my back with my arm across my chest etc etc. Truthfully I don't actually get very much sleep the first few days because I can never get comfortable when I'm curled up like a pretzel being ocd about not touching my fresh ink 😂
I sleep upside down hanging from the ceiling like a bat.
That's certainly one way to do it! 😅
Lmao

This is the only tattoo aftercare video that got me calm instead of the opposite
I'll take that as a complement, for sure. :D
@@Inkademic Yes for sure, my tattoo is healing safely! :)
Mine too 😅
Yes! Love it !!
Hallelujah, I'll sleep well tonight!
“And why you might just be overthinking the entire thing”
Me: oh thank fnck
Haha, both me and my wife got a good chuckle out of that. 😅 Thank you for it!
I love this more scientific approach instead of the confusing hearsay... side note your voice is very calming.
Thank you! (on both counts ☺️)
I read "hearsay" as "heresy" and it was v fun
I'm the same. When I'm gonna start getting tattooed I need basic scientific shit not hearsay
It sounds digitally altered as a part of the video.
Tattoo aftercare meets ASMR
listening to your voice is like getting a hug from a very fluffy cloud
🤗
Yes,! He definitely has a great voice 🤍 I was about to make that comment.
Best comment ever

I'm thrilled I could help!
Me too. Thank you inkademic.
"Impossible without restraints" *me with sleep paralysis* 👁👄👁
All things being equal 😂 How's your recent work?
@@Inkademic pretty neat, i just got a magical girl wand on my inner lower arm and i'm plqnning to get some kneetats quite soon
Ur voice is so calming..I hope u get lots of views soon👋
Thanks, me too! 😅
I remember my first tattoo was on my forearm, I was so stressed about sleeping on it that I slept with my arm literally hanging off the bed and woke up about a million times in the night to make sure it was still wrapped 😂 Now I mostly use Second Skin for healing, and I don’t even think about things like sleeping on it anymore. Love the calm, scientific approach to aftercare though - definitely subscribing!
You basically described my first few tattoo experiences. 😂 Thanks!
I imagine this is what an angel sounds like. Came for the facts, stayed for the personality.
D'aw. Thank you.
I could fall asleep to this video. (No offense) very calming voice
Thanks 😅
I use this video to fall asleep each night
I've just come across your channel and I'm so glad I did! Not only is your voice extremely calming (as many have already said), but your videos are informative and straight to the point. Hopefully many more people will discover you soon 😊
You have literally the most calming tone of all time. Mix that with the background music and overall attitude and it’s even better. I was surprised to see you werent in the millions of subs with this type of quality. You definitely earned a sub from me :) keep up the work!
Wouldn't mind adding a few extra 0s to my subscriber count, for sure. 😅
The soothing tone, pace and overall reassuring vibe backed-up by science really is what I needed even after 10 years of getting tattoos like yearly
Thank you 🥺
just got my first tattoo on my forearm and oh my god i can’t stop watching your videos🙏🏾they are so informative and helps me keep my fresh tat nice and healthy!
Omg this is the best tattoos aftercare video I’ve seen! Been freaking out from all the videos & discussions on the internet. This def made me calm down! Thank you so much 🙌
The voice of calm right here. I am on my 6th tattoo in 12 months so have gone through the overthinking and the paranoia and am now at the stage of, I know what works for me without letting my anxiety take over so I stick to that. Thanks for sharing this.
i just got my very first tattoo and it’s so soothing listening to you. i loved how you explained everything! kudos x
Can we just appreciate how he can deliver information calmly without scaring people about infection
Wow, loving this video and this comment section. I've been having anxiety about my fresh tattoo all day, and other videos haven't helped the slightest with that. But watching this video and reading some of the comments realllly made me relax! :) Thanks a lot!
Your voice is so calm! I also appreciate this approach and information as well
Bro, I could literally listen to you all day long. Your voice is so chill!
I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow and get recommended a ton of videos on it now. Loved your advice and your voice is super calm and relaxing.
Just found your channel and you literally showed up in the best time. And your calming vibe is really enjoyable.
Randomly discovered your channel. I'm a tattoo virgin but will be getting my first in about 4 months. I love how much in-depth you get in each of your videos. Like the super close up photos or legit articles to back up your thoughts/input. Haven't seen other tattoo RUclips channels like yours. Looking forward to more of your contents 👍
Thank you I've been so stressed since getting my latest tattoo with so much conflicting info out there. This has put my mind at ease
Thank you soooo much, I’ve been so stressed about how I should sleep with my back tattoo, this is so great to hear
got my first tattoo today and man you dont know how much this video helped me. thank you so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Your entire demeanor and the way you speak is calming, even therapeutic. I clicked this video looking just for information, but I got a lot more than I came for. Great vid and subscribed for the positivity
Thank you this was the most helpful video out of the hundreds! Informative but simple👍🏽
I got my tattoo at 12 pm yesterday. It is now 2am and I’m stressing about the way I sleep. Your video definitely calmed me down. I was getting so annoyed that I couldn’t sleep on my tattoo and was in a awkward position. Thank you for making this!
I was freaking out when I wake up this morning with that ink on my white bed sheets ..
Thank you for calming me
I thought it was funny to see a perfect copy of my tattoo on the sheets the first time that happened
Thank you for explaining this is in a calm and efficient way!
Wonderful pacing and clear and friendly explanation! A huge thanks!
i just got my second half sleeve done but I'm still watching tattoo aftercare videos even tho I never had any trouble
You’r perspective is so refreshing, everyone is so intense
Bless this man, just got my first tattoo and this helped so much
Awesome, thanks! Love the science behind it. And LOVE your dog's name! SW forever!
I got a new tattoo and first I had saniderm on. I reacted allergic to the adhesive after about 2 hours and had to remove it. No damage was done and my skin soon got better with ointment and cleaning. I was still anxious about the night an wrapped it up with clingfilm. This video also calmed me down very much, knowing this will not kill me haha thanks so much!
thank you for this I just got my first tattoo and I was so confused about aftercare my tattoo artist gave instructions but I heard so many things you just kind of get lost this is great advice i feel much better
Your voice is soo calming! I love it! I'm on day 4 of my 5th and largest tattoo. Great reminders and tips to take care of my investment. Thank you!
I just got my first tattoo and it's pretty big, this video is a godsend. You have a great podcast voice!
Your video's are among the most useful and informative around there. thanks :)
Great info, but definitively wouldn't mind if the background music was lower volume to be able to concentrate more on you and what you are saying, Cheers!
Thanks! And yeah, this was actually my first attempt at doing this so it's very much amateur hour. 😂 Getting better, I hope!
thankyou brother...just got a tattoo on my chest yesterday and i was freaking out all until I met you.
I got a appointment in a few days and I am freaking out this video just gave me some inner peace
Just got my first tattoo 2 days ago, was sort of worried about the healing process since my sister hadn't really explained it, but your vids have helped put some things into perspective🥰
This was a great video and I feel a lot better. Getting my first tattoo tomorrow 😄 Thanks man!
This video is amazing … you gave such good advice and so calmly 💯
I love your voice! Its so warm and calming!
I'm getting my first tattoo in a few weeks and sleeping has been my main concern. Thank you.
Such a calming voice. Im looking more and more forward to getting my tattoo. Not quite sure how I will take care of it alone with it being in thee most unreachable spot on my back but....ill figure it out.
Excellent delivery, thanks
For my inner forearm tattoo all I did was put my normal ointment on and then I put my arm through a clean pillowcase. It sounds weird but when I did this then I didn't have to worry about my sheets becoming dirty because it was all coming off in the pillowcase. Plus it felt better than re wrapping it because I've heard that is bad for the tattoo. I did this for the first 3 nights of having the tattoo
I love calm people who actually use scientific research as a source for there video. Its like writing a paper, sources are necessary to verify the authenticy. Refreshing to see in this youtube tattoo world
Glad to fill the niche!
For my few tattoos, I wear a plain cotton tee loosely wrapped around it. I share my bed with a little chiweenie (thankfully she's not a licker), and having the cotton cloth has been the best thing that works for me. And since the fabrics like to stick to me, in the morning I use the shower to wet the cloth stuck to the tattoo and then clean it while I'm there.
best vid ive seen on this, plus this dude is a great speaker
I instantly hit like in the first 5 seconds into the video because of the editing. Super entertaining and informative video
So helpful! And actually super relaxing to watch lol thank you!
Got my second tattoo today, the first one was 4 years ago so I forgot everything about the aftercare, I have been watching videos for like 10 hours. This is by far the best tattoo youtube channel I've seen so far. Thank you. You should have million views .
I wish 😊 Only 350k so far 😅
i am starting to love your videos, your voice is calming and you explain everything so i dont feel like im following random adivce without knowing why. plus your personality seems so friendly
Mission accomplished! Thanks ☺️
honestly most of these videos gave me anxiety but yours has made me pretty calm about the whole thing... you didn't talk it up you just said how it was.
Omg you sir are amazing I was overthinking it. Gracias
Thank you so much, your video really helped me after my first tatoos to reassure me and now with my new fresh one, I’m back here again! :)
Greetings from France! 🇫🇷
"Its a new tattoo not a fabrizia egg." hahah win.
Fabergé Egg 😉
I’m thinking of getting my first tattoo and ngl all the stuff I’ve been reading and watching about after care has seemed pretty worrisome and stressful but you just singlehandedly put all of that to rest, so thank you 😂
I love your voice! This real helped me a lot.
this is so calming thank you
Just got my first tattoo and this video really helped me stress less about the healing!! Thanks so much
Can't express how happy that makes me! It's been long enough that your work is healed now so how is it?
What a soothing voice. Well put!
That dog pic was so cute!!! Coulda warned me so my heart was ready to explode
U thiccer than oatmeal girl🔥👍🏿
This is a very good video, love it!
Got a small one to start but still want another. Love this video :)
Have watched several videos and you covered everything perfectly, Thank you!
Thanks! I'm working on a close-up look at healing right now, too. ☺️
Great advice and well said. Thank you.
i just wanted to get some tips on tattoo aftercare and suddenly i've found inner peace and calmness i haven't known for years. i live in this channel now, gonna watch the videos to meditate ty ty haha
Wish id watched this video sooner👍🏼 awesome video super informative xx
super calm voice, great tips!
This was so informative! Thank you
The way you explain this is so cute
I just got my first tattoo!! Thank you for the info! Now I know I can take a nap after I clean m’sheets
Thank you for calming this kid down with anxiety. I literally have drove myself crazy trying to figure out if its okay to sleep with a long sleeve cotton tshirt on, or if I put too much ointment on, or maybe I didnt wash it right, etc. etc. have a BSN and BS and the science behind it you provide makes too much sense rather than all the conflicting "how Ive always done it". Thank you!
That's why I do what I do. ☺️ I'm glad it helped! Don't forget to share with a friend. 🖤
I don't know why this popped up on my page but I'm glad it did, loved your sarcasm I was smiling all the time and thank you for not being dramatic about the whole thing 😂 you deserve more clicks ❤️
This made me calm. Thank you ! (:
Well done. First timer here. Thanks for this.
Going to get my first tattoo at four today, really excited :)
i actually already have some tattoos but you learned me something :) good video
Very informative, well done video.
I really wish I would've saw this video when I got my first tattoo, it would have saved me a lot of needles worrying.
Finally a video that makes me feel calm 🥺
Saniderm (the clear tattoo wrap that sticks to your skin) helps me sleep peacefully without the pain & worrying about blood and ink gettin on my sheets!! Before I’d have problems finding the right way to lay comfortably without laying on my tattoo. But as I’ve gotten more and more tattoos , i use Saniderm (or a generic brand which is cheaper). Its virtually painless when anything touches my tattoo cause that area is really tender after getting it. Plus your tat will heal sooo much better. I recommend 10/10
Got my first tattoo yesterday. My tattoo artist told me to leave the sticky plastic on my tat for 4 days. I’ve been watching after care vids, but most say leave it on a couple hours. One, that was actually talking about the same plastic I have on, said 2 days. Probably should just listen to my artist. Great advice here though.
incredibly helpful and soothing
I want to commend you on your approach, knowledge-dropping and execution. You should post your video's on r/tattoos. A lot of people there ask the questions you are answering.
I LOVE saniderm. Its such a simple way of gaining peace of mind involving my fresh tattoo. Its very light. I'm sensitive to adhesives and I was worried about about it, but I've had no reaction at all
I've never actually used Saniderm (the brand) but using a version of it has totally changed how I think about tattoo aftercare. It's magical.
This calmed me down a lot, I’ve gotten a very small and simple fine line tattoo around 2 days ago and I’ve been trying to avoid sleeping on it since everybody says, you shouldn’t put pressure on it and I was terrified of ruining it….but I think I will be just fine☺️
Finally! someone that tells us that it is going to be just fine.
