Smart and also it matters WHERE tattoo is placed. Ie, if its a leg tattoo and you are doing arms and chest, no real issues. But if you get finger tattoos and are gripping bars they next day, that is big issue and risk .
@@randominternetguy1499 I'm about to get one on my forearm as well, and I would say you're sort of incorrect about it not flexing. for you to start workin out? also, how did you put on an arm sleeve to to to work after only 3 days? thanks in asvance.
@@nyyanksny03you can get a tattoo and go workout 10 mins later, it’s not like the ink is going to come out. It is an essentially a wound which is what this guy is talking about so try to keep it clean for the first few days. I usually leave it alone for a few days and then start using aquafor or A&D and they always come out fine. I’ve got both arms full sleeved and one leg sleeved
Yeah it's just day of tatt that you don't want to sweat excessively
3 weeks no submerging the tattoo
This was just a huge plug for this dudes “tattoo balm” just take a shower like you normally should and apply A&D ointment as necessary
Its been around 2 weeks and the tattoo i got on forearm has stopped pealing anymore so should i start my workouts in the gym or should wait for some more time
I think it would be alright if u workout and just be careful but if you’re unsure of the healing process, I would recommend rest it for like another week to be sure.
Bruh, I had two field exercises in the two weeks following my tattoo 😂 still turned out fine tho
What if I do construction
I just got a new tattoo on Tuesday and i wanna know if I can go play basketball today or even get it wet bc I gotta shower if I hoop 😭
I go crazy in the gym the week before my tattoo, rest the day before so I’m not sore, and rest for another 4 days afterwards.
Smart and also it matters WHERE tattoo is placed. Ie, if its a leg tattoo and you are doing arms and chest, no real issues. But if you get finger tattoos and are gripping bars they next day, that is big issue and risk .
So after 4 days you go lift again? I'm getting finger tattoos next week and idk how long I'm supposed to wait till lifting again
@@DermDude what if I got a medium tattoo on my forearm? forearms dont flex like biceps and triceps do how long should I wait before liftint
@@randominternetguy1499 I'm about to get one on my forearm as well, and I would say you're sort of incorrect about it not flexing. Your forearm flexes and moves around a lot, especially with any hand or wrist movement. I'm gonna work arms/chest before I get the tattoo on the same day, then probably take 2 rest days, 3rd day after tattoo I'll hit the gym with legs, then reaccess from there. Maybe on the 4th day I'll do back, but even with back workouts you're still gripping bars or dumbbells and moving your forearms a lot so I'm not sure.
@@xXxXcrosbykidXxXx thats a fair point you’re right, I ended up taking 3 days off after getting tattoo, bandaids off now and it looks and feels fine
The biggest issue is sun and not swimming, sweating is ok you can do sport
I literally washed my tatts at least 20+ times a day...my aunt had one get infected it scared the ish out of me.
3-4 washes a day is more than enough, plus moisturising up to 6x a day. Your body has some natural stuff going on and washing too much will also hinder the healing process.
What about drinking alcohol a day after getting a tattoo?
Or just use aquaphor or aloe Vera it helps better tbh
I went to the gym a couple days after and my stomach piece is just fine. Tattoo artist even verified. So every artists is different, btw yes mine did heal perfect, no fading still loooks brand new on me.
If your black the sun won’t bother you
I use “Savlon” cream…
If your black don’t worry about the sun. The sun is made out of you brother
What f face
White folks dude want sun burn on a fresh tatt 😂
U sure Cah I got a tat and I been out in this summers sun and I’m scared

i went in the pool 1 week after my tattoos and they healed perfectly fine , it also matters on the size and shading of tattoo
I’m getting inked in colombia in sept and I inted on goin into the beach lol I will be putting saniderm on the whole tattoo so shouldnt it be fine. Isnt that the purpose of the second skin? to stop bacteria from getting in. If thats the case shouldnt I be able to go in a pool or beach without worrying about infection?
@@playboydonnie7181 sorry for my bad english, it should be fine, but i wouldnt recommend staying in the water for long. Especially since the sea has salty water and that might damage it. The thing is also that the sun will be shining on your tattoo, so make sure to put sunscreen on your tattoo. I hope this helped a little bit 😅 but unfortunately im not 100% sure, goodluck tho :)
I work in construction just got a neck tattoo should I call off till it heals or will I be fine?
You’ll be good just cover it with a SPF dry fit polyester type of neck sleeve
Definitely postponing getting one for now, gym is too important!
Then unless you plan on missing days it seems you’ll never get one 😢
You also putting tattoo 😂😂😂❤❤
we ♥ tattoos!
I am a football player and have constant workouts. How many days till before i can workout again after getting it
I'd say a month after your last session. I'm an athlete too and it sucks, but waiting for your tattoo to heal completely is worth it in the long run
@xXRedx80015Xx got my neck done yesterday. Started working out today again. Did it with a lot of my tatts. All healed great.
@@micro_aggressor . Same with my neck tattoos 2-3 days after no problem. Just finished with my forearm 5 days ago , I think I'll hold off on this one
@@larryvelez5554 so how long until im able to practice again
@@larryvelez5554 I had my whole forearm down last week Monday and I went and played English football 2 days later it was fine
So what happens when I have a outside job it’s 90+ all day and I wear boots with high socks and just got a leg sleeve nobody can seem to give me a helpful fucking answer
U chose to get the tattoo silly bollocks
How long after a new tattoo can you soak in the bath or go swimming ?
Wait atleast 2-3 weeks and make certain there is no more flaking at all. That is the bare minimum.
@@DermDude what about showering? And when do I apply the product??
@@AOBILLYLA Shower same day. Warm gentle water, do not soak it just light rinse, simple soap w no fragrance , let air dry and then w clean hands apply derm dude nuclear balm. Repeat several times a day re washing and tattoo aftercare on the new tattoo area.
Why did I just watch a commercial
don't get a tattoo if you aren't a vampire
All you need is A&D ointment It will do the same thing nuclear balm will.
Bro I’m a blue collar worker working on pipe line and I have like 50 tattoos and after every one I just put some a and d ointment on and I was in the sun everyday just clean your shit and you’ll be fine
What if I work outside
If tattoos have healed, use SPF and enjoy the sun and great outdoors! If tattoo is NEW, cover w loose clothing and AVOID sun . Once is healed, start using SPF. Do NOT use SPF on a brand new tattoo that has not healed yet .
Okey sir
Bro sounds like omniman
I work at a gym so I have to lift weights 😂😂😢
Basically stay in your house for a month, moisturise and keep it clean!🤣(im a tattooist
