What are useful social skills that can be picked up quickly?
    By default, respect people.
Cough, but cover your mouth with forearm, not palm.
A smile at strangers is not bad; it's humility.
Silence is the loudest display of anger; rest is immaturity.
Most people find unnecessary touching uncomfortable, remember that.
    Interruption is impatience.
    Great people respect disagreement.
When you speak in a group, try and look at everyone at least once.
If you are not comfortable looking in eyes, look at the face at least.
When someone speaks, nod to make them comfortable, even if you don't agree.
If you don't know what to speak, listen to people and understand what they want to listen.
Don't be rigid on your opinions.
However your interaction was, leave with positivity. A smile, and a positive statement of appreciation works well.
Never ask uncomfortable details from people in public.
Interact more with nervous people to make them comfortable and to leave a positive impact on them.
If your palms sweat, keep two handkerchiefs in your pocket, always wipe before shaking hands.
If someone is sitting on your side, don't fold your leg in a way that your shoe faces that person.
Keep your used utensils yourself in the sink or bin; this makes you subconsciously look responsible and humble.
Be a pleasant person, don't spit out negativity in front of people, however bad you feel inside.
Be sure before quoting facts; wrong facts put your image down.

What are the most powerful quotes you have ever come across?
    Stay genuine, tables will turn.
In life you are presented with two choices “evolve or repeat”.
If you get that gut feeling that something isn’t right about a person or situation, trust it.
Be ready to lose anyone anytime.
Apologize when you’re wrong. Stop looking for quotes that support your stupidity.
Commitment isn’t scary, wasting years of your life is.
Anything you lose by speaking your truth isn’t a loss. It’s an alignment.
The less you say, the more your words will matter.
Your life isn’t yours if you always care what others think.
Working on yourself, by yourself, for yourself.
UPvote if you feel relatable with any of these lines.

And that is fun, and you will be easy and that attracts the right benevolent people that like you for being you. and friends will be like family and all that stuff. just dont fake stuff. remember: if you dont lie you will never have to remember alternate versions of your reality, which is complicated enough. go out there, be you, stop taking everything seriously. you cant outperform life, all of us die in the end. enjoy the ride.

Professor: Would anyone like to hear me explain what gerrymandering is?
Me: Sure, I love to learn.
Professor: Learning taking place in a classroom? What is wrong with you?
Me: I have ADHD and High functioning autism. I have been told that I talk really loudly in public. I fart significantly more often than the average person.
Professor: It was a rhetorical question.

What did you learn too late in life?
If you don’t try, you will never know.
If you don’t ask, you will never get an answer.
*If you never ask, the answer will always be no!*
Nobody truly cares about you, so you can do whatever you want (as long as it’s not illegal).
_Aside from your family and best friends, nobody else will care about what you do with your life so you don’t have to worry about what other people will think about what you do._
Time moves fast, don’t waste your time too much or you will regret it in the future.
A hard worker usually beats a talented person(unless the talented person also works hard).
Working hard is not enough, also work smart and work consistently.
The hardest things to get in life are usually the most worth it.
    Enjoy every day and don

  • @convention951
    @convention951 5 месяцев назад

I actually do much of this without thinking. Jokes come naturally to me, and half the time it's at my own expense. "Obviously I can't be trusted alone with it." - an inside joke about me breaking things. "I'll bring what you need in 2 hours." - currently referencing me taking two hours to bring a coworker something.
The ones that are not inside jokes, I do on the fly. Most of the time it's at my own expense anyways, sometimes it's at their own expense. 9 times out of 10, it lands with a lasting impact. Anything really good, everyone just continues to reference it days or even weeks later. I also do a lot of encouragement, which are not so much tiny jokes, but tiny jabs. "Why don't you?" followed by... "Don't worry about it, just do it." Something a bit extreme, but that notion gets into their head and they usually remember something like that. Of course, all through context.

If you rely on a formula for interacting with people, it will become very noticeable, especially once people really get to know you. Be your own person. Tell your own jokes. Attempting to hide your worry about meeting new people or whether or not you're likeable never ends well. Don't put on faces, or you'll only be surrounded by people who put on faces.

    So, in short:
1: say things that exaggerate or are absurd, so it's obvious they're jokes; or,
    2: use funny teasing (using the above);
    3: for best results, tease yourself;
4: Vary the use of one and two (and three) so you're not boring/predictable.

All these jokes boil down to ways to surprise people. If you surprise people, then you're unpredictable and mysterious. If people have you figured out, you're boring. So again, you can't just surprise people the same way all the time. You have to hit them in the face with a frying pan about once a year. Every day is too often.

    What makes someone charismatic?
A well groomed appearance makes the first impression. Remember Fashion has always been a Trillion dollar industry for a reason.
Good sense of Humor that makes you likeable to many. It can Lighten up the tense situation often and often its a good laughter we all hanker for in life
Warm gestures always make you likeable. Smile, hug, greet. Your body language should be full of energy and positivity.
Speak your heart and mind in the language of the audience . The way they want to listen. Its an art. Make your words more relatable to them
Celebrate life with others in happy times and in crisis stand up with people . Both are important . sharing emotions build great bonds
Watch good interviews, Ted talks, listen to good podcasts , read good books. Do it regularly.
Developing a good persona is a continuous process. So keep adding and keep learning patiently.

But yeah if you’re not there for the action movie revamp like the mummy you’re not going to have fun as it both acknowledges the tropes and plays with them as rides the edge between parody and sincere love of the genre. Princess Bride does this too. Not sure what Van Helsing needed to get more love like it did 🤔

What to do when life gets tough?
Forgive yourself for your past mistakes.
Rather than overthinking, reflect on what to do.
Find a solution as quick as possible.
Never compare yourself to others. They are also fighting a silent battle.
Surround yourself with your loved ones to prevent loneliness and solitude.
Forgiving people in silence & never speaking to them again is a form of self care,
Focus on the quality of your circle rather than the number of people in it,
If you find yourself terrified in the face of challenges , stop & reframe your mind ,
You must adapt to the ever changing tides of life,
Notice the words you speak in your head to yourself. Be aware of your low quality & negative thoughts,
Journaling is the antidote to cluttered mind,
Pretending to be someone else is disrespecting yourself. Be unique & be who you really are ,
Pay attention to your body. It can protect you from physical, mental & emotional harm,
Have patience . Be willing. Be able to change,
Be vulnerable. Emotions should be shared, not feared. Have boundaries but build trust first,
    Just Chill.!!
