- For the third year in a row we held the Wild & Wonderful Weekend Ride. The 2020 edition sold out in 39 seconds and I think it's safe to say everyone had a blast. On day one of the ride we covered 270 miles starting in Winchester, VA stopping in Thomas, WV to see Douglas Falls, Seneca Rocks, and riding to the top of Spruce Knob before making it to Lewisburg, WV for the night.
Big thank you to all the guys who not only filmed throughout the day but allowed me to use what they shot to make this video!

Props to your friends on the big touring bikes, not intimidated to take them down dirt roads, mud, and rickety bridge crossing. Well done!
HAHA! They had a lot of fun and I was happy to be their guide.
Always nice to see where I grew up (riverton Wv) between Seneca rocks and spruce knob.
I'm glad and honored to see a wonderful dynamic race in nature through your video. I will continue to subscribe to your channel. From South Korean RUclipsr Wongkham.💜👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great group of bikes! Great ride ! Good to see Noah too. I've been to Greenbank and Spruce Knob, but its been 10 years or so. So beautiful!
LOL, Noah had a blast on the trip. While he and I get out for some days rides this was his first overnight/weekend trip.
Mairo, Thanks for the dirt. I forgot how great the roads were in WV. You put together some awesome roads !! Thanks for letting an old guy tag along.
Any time Alan! It was great having you along!
We should do this quarterly 😎
I'm not opposed to that.
Agreed
Thanks for the memories I recall all the cool roads and landmarks from our snowy 2018 W.W. Weekend . I hope Pete and Rusty left some pie for the rest of you guys. Can't wait for the next time I can get out east and meet up with the group again.
I think Pete picked out the biggest piece he could find! Look forward to riding with you again.
Beautiful ride and it looked like y'all had a great time.
Thanks Andrew! It was a great group of people to travel with.
Nice ride from the look of it! Got a chance to do my own version back in August (solo though), went the other direction for the most part. Left here, down to Charlottesville by my usual route, out 64 to Sam Black Church and 60 from there to Fayetteville, walked from the hotel over to Pies and Pints. Next day was New River Gorge, Hawk's Nest State Park, back to Fayette Station Rd through the Gorge, then over to Green Bank, Spruce Knob, Gateway for dinner, Seneca Rocks and back home. Great ride. Have to do it again some time, after getting back I saw what looked like an even more entertaining route from Fayetteville to Green Bank!
Tough to find a bad place to ride in those areas.
I remember that road to Douglas Falls. First time I ever left pavement on something other than a dirt bike!
And I'm assuming that lead to the current bike 😂
@@2WR Definitely! I love knowing the bike can handle most surprises that await you around a corner. Just this weekend I rode through a mountain of leaves a homeowner was blowing across the street and a river made by fire hydrant maintenance. I can’t wait to get back to WV!
MARIO!!! I'm ready to go again! It was a fantastic day on 2 wheels. You are THE MAN!
You and me both! So happy you enjoyed it!
Check out FR 75 in Dolly Sods and Smoke Hole Rd next time you're in the Seneca Rocks area. West Virginia is bleeping awesome riding.
Yeah, I've ridden those, too. Have to pick and choose what we can fit in on these touring events but to do add and subtract things each event to keep it fresh. And you're right, WV has some awesome riding.
Awesome first day, beautiful landscape of West Virginia. Drone footage was nice, great video Mario.
Thanks 👍
Lovely scenery and the drone adds an extra viewpoint 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Harley off road wow. That bridge on a big Bagger wow lol. Dicey. Cool vid. Awesome waterfalls. Thx dude
To be fair, Chris (on the Harley) is an accomplished off-road racer. I was riding with him on dirt bikes down in Costa Rica back in February. And thanks!
@@2WR ahhhhhhh. Yes his skill set def cane in handy there lol. Baggers dirt and gravel usually don’t play well together lol. That’s why I want an ADV bike lol. Can simply explore so much more!!!
Looks like a blast!
Thanks! It was a good time.
Ive ridden a few of those roads.. WV is an awesome place to ride! My orange bike is ready any time... just sayin..
Awesome video, looks like a great time was had by all!
Brian (still owe you an email reply...took last week off from RUclips-related stuff) you're guaranteed a spot on the next one. Can't wait to ride with you.
And the adventure begins. Always enjoy watching this ride but I am still waiting for the BDR ride. Especially now that Boyer has that 1290.
You know it's coming...
Awesome video, I could watch hours of stuff like this. Looking forward to more, Be Healthy, Be safe!!
Thanks Barry! Have a couple more installments of this series coming next week.
Loved every minute of it!
Is that 219 you’re on? I was just in that area last month. Beautiful area and roads.
Yep, we were on parts of 219.
Looks like a good time and ride thanks for sharing
You bet!
Another great video. When are you all going to put Angela's Ducati out of its misery? haha We are planning our 2021 West Virginia trip. Hoping we can still meet up. Have a great week.
I hope soon 😂. Yeah, as long as I'm in town, we can definitely meet up.
Great start!
Thanks Ebon
Is it time for Angela to change out the temperamental Ducati?? hehehehehe ;0)
I'm hoping within the next year or 2.
Very nice Mario! Question?... how do you get away with the added music clips? You seem to have the formula! Most others do not..
Thanks. As for the music I pay an annual fee for the licensing rights to all the music used on my videos.
Awesome ride. Why is your sister still riding that POS? Hasnt she heard of the Africa Twin? Honda's always start. Lol
I'm working on her...
Mario, great vid of your ride. 50 east is a great ride from WV. I’m in C-Town so pretty close to you. Have you been out to Deep Creek and Swallow Falls by chance?
Deep Creek, yes. Swallow Falls, no...though I've been right by it many times.
Looks like a great time! How did the guy on the 390 do? Was looking at one for my wife but still not sure how it does on long trips
He did great! He also bought a used Yamaha Super Tenere about a week later 😂
Nothing like pie👍😁
LOL, Happy Thanksgiving Harry!
Why do i have this feeling that you & your sister will have a new bike soon...
Even if I have to buy it!
@@2WR someone will give you a new one..
Its time you you get off those boring highways!
