Great video but no way a video can show the incredible riding and hospitality. Only word of caution for people who do future Wild and Wonderful trips is be prepared for sore cheeks from all the smiling and laughing. Thank you Mario and family
WV is a beautiful state and has the best Interstate I've ever ridden, I75 into Charleston. A new vista around every corner! Probably didn't hurt that I rode it on a 1299...
Just over the PA line above Morgantown, I've been all over those roads with my daughter, great memories. Hopefully an August trip post summer softball season. great video.
The first day looked awesome. I knew it would be epic. Beautiful country you live in Mario.... oh and the proverbial "infamous" Pete pie. Lol looking forward to the second day. Safe travels my friend.
I really want to join you guys one year. Please keep it in September - it's the only month I get time off of work on short notice! I ended up riding solo to WV last week of September and had incredible weather the whole week. Love your channel!
Mario's gots some amazing powers to make water flow backwards!! As an ex-trucker, I too take issue with Big-strappers, (as we call them), dudes that think they can drive wherever they want, cause their bigger, (this includes some big-ass, jacked-up pick-ups many times too). Now, he was making a sweeping right, and attempting to keep his right rear trailer wheels on the road, but at the speed he was traveling, there's very little "trailer cheat" as it sometimes is referred, to need to come over into your lane. Nice video as always, looks like a nice, diverse group of riders. Can we invite Beverly on one of our rides here in Cali???
I hate not having a key on my 1290 SAR. Had a problem at a gas station once for a couple minutes then it started and I have a phobia now every time I shut it off to fuel up. Really love West Virginia scenery.
Nice ride, haven't made it to Gateway and Spruce Knob myself yet, have to do that part one of these days (with the Daytona, I've only ridden the Bonnie up that way so far). Whose bike did the footage come from that wasn't shot from yours? Oh, the critters you said were ostriches were likely emus instead, very similar but smaller, my younger brother had a few for a while.
Indeed! Just didn't know it was there last time I went up that way (essentially following your "Rider" article route) or I'd have gone there for lunch instead of Yokum's. Maybe I can get to ride that way with Colin some time, only done it solo so far.
@@dadmode5545 I used to live in MD and have probably covered every trail in Dolly Sods backpacking. Beautiful place and the night sky is pretty darn good out there!
Hi everyone! Im Wayne! Looking for some good folks to ride with in Eastern West Virginia, near Hedgesville/Martinsburg! Hit me up if you want to go ride! Im into moto camping, fishing, hunting, cookin, and havin fun! Lookin for some good friends that share like interests!
Yes, we WILL be doing at least one WWW trip in 2020.

Thanks Jim! It was a pleasure to host you for the weekend!
Thanks for putting the time into these video's. They are a bonus to the awesome trip we had. -Steve and Susan
Thanks guys; glad you could join us, had a great time! Also, big thanks to Steve for the additional footage. He was a big help on the Day 2 video!
Warms my heart that I am from this lovely state and WSS.
2:21 That Pink Floyd picture is made of bottle caps.

Slight correction, I79 but close enough. Won't disagree with you on any of the rest :)
@@2WR You're right! Thanks

Thanks Pierre! Wish you could have been with us. Think you'll really enjoy the day 2 video.

Thanks Jerry! I'll see if I can talk Beverly into coming to Cali.

We've talked about it so many times. Just don't understand it, other than it's technology for the sake of technology.
Checking this out from the UK and found myself fighting the urge to let out a massive 'Yee - Haw' at multiple times whilst watching.
LOL...good. That was my intention.
Good video thanks for sharing and looks like some great riding i need to come to West Virginia and do some riding
Definitely do!
You've probably done it, but rt 92 into greenbrier county is pretty good!
Yep. Great route.
@@2WR Nice to meet you today! Thanks for the stickers!
I'm hoping to ride up from Texas one day for a WWW trip!! Oh, and I think I saw a Yamaha Road Star in this group which is what I ride!
You definitely saw a Road Star; we make sure to keep it fun for everyone.
Great Video!
Thanks Brian!
No problem. It was an awesome trip!
Gateway Restaurant, just south of Seneca Rocks on Rt 33 / Rt 28 is the best place to dine in the area. Please support this wonderful restaurant!!!
Was just there again last weekend and take the group there every year....Pete would kill me if I didn't.

Steven shot some of the additional footage from his Versys. Lots more to come on the second day. And you HAVE to get to Gateway if only for the pie.

Love to have you along!
I cant' go through Davis without going to Hellbender's
Is that spruce knob as in dolly sods spruce knob area?
Well, it's not terribly far away from Dolly Sods but it's the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area.
2 Wheeled Rider nice. I backpack the wilderness there a lot.

Todd V best place to find peace and quiet
4:00 always making allowances for those 18 wheel, eco-terrorist building truck bombs and drifting over the center line while avoiding spillage…
Everytime I get near the southern part of the state I start talking like a hillbilly!!
It happens...
