The washed out road looks like the one on the north side of Blackwater Canyon between Coketon and the Olsen tower. I've been across that on a 1982 Sportster in drier conditions. It was washed out then too but not as bad.
Thanks Ken and I agree with you. I'd much rather get through areas like that in one piece and it take a few minutes longer than end up in the hospital.
Don't be a wuss Jim! LOL! And no we won't take you guys on anything that tough on the October ride but may be an optional route for the September ride.
Fun Video! Amazing how much that countryside looks like my home region in Austria hehe. If you could at your leisure make a video about how you set up the suspension on the 890R that would be awesome.
Your statement “She definitely Rocky” I’m in Indiana but love WV riding. Lots of Rocky in WV. Yep cool overlook. Get Matt coordinates on the falls and go back and find them. Long way up fire tower.
Always great to watch your videos. And love the roads of West Virginia especially coming from Indiana. Just wish you had a clear windscreen…otherwise great video.
Hey Pete, what's the point of an ADV bike if you don't want to get it muddy? Loved that "straightest road in WV" bit (Canaan Valley?) Went through some of that area a couple weeks ago on my way home from the Gorge, detoured up to Yokum's for lunch and then back down 33 into VA. One close call on a downhill left, caught a piece of a tar snake and front squirmed a moment, made that turn with what looked like less than a foot of pavement before the edge, and of course no shoulder at all. Excitement like that I don't need! Great ride otherwise though.
Great video, Awesome roads up there for sure. I almost hit a black bear one time in the rough road between Thomas and Parsons (public road 18). Next time you should add in public road 10 from Canaan Valley to black water falls to add a little extra spice to the ride (I am sure you have ridden it before being a fellow WV rider!). Keep up the good work 😎👍
Only just found your channel... and sub'd. Looking into the 890 Adv R as my next bike. I live not too far north of you (just a little north of Morgantown). How do you like the 890 on the roads of WV?
Always jealous of the roads you have right out your door. Hopefully someday before I get to OLD, I get better at off road riding so I can ride cool shit like that. However I have in the plans a smaller ADV bike that is easier to pick up after i drop it. 😁
That's the area I go dirtbike riding. Beautiful area

Beautiful country you guys got up there , would love to ride it ! I will definitely get up to W.V.
Loved that you guys just powered through the missing road!! I hate turning around!!
I like that you don't play Billy Badass on the two track. I ride like that because it's better to ride out than to be carried out. Great video.

Great video ... I pray those aren't the roads we will be riding on the ADV weekend (:

@@2WR Just paid $138 for a new clutch lever due to a little mishap on the Dalton... I am just trying not to go broke...LOL
Cool area around Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods… Lots of roads to ride for sure!
Best days many times are when you just point it and go explore. Great vids my friend and hopefully see you out there sometime. Stay safe!!
Should have brought some tennis shoes for thd tower hike! :)

Good idea on the suspension setup video. I was fortunate enough to ride in Austria back in 2019, tho all pavement.

Yeah, we're gonna head back up there later this year with a little more of a plan.
Thats what is nice
About big dual sport bikes when you need to do 2 hr ride home on highways.
Great video thanks, watched it with a beer both enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a helluva fun ride.
Looks like a adventure good video thanks for sharing
You guys are amazing! I only wish to have adventures like that someday? Keep these inspirational videos coming. Ride Safe
Appreciate it HDR!
What windshield was that 990 using? Looks adjustable
Very entertaining Mario, thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it. It was for sure a fun day of riding
Always a blast to watch ur riding videos Mario. Looking forward to the 2WR WW content. :-)
Thanks Ebon! The first ride is coming up this weekend so hopefully have it up in the next few weeks.

When we got off the bikes to assess the road being out, we saw bear tracks which made us hurry our line selection.
@@2WR haha good idea up there!
I must not have been included in that group text....lol. would've been down in a heart beat....looks like a good ride.
There’s a whole process to get on the group text. Blood sacrifice, wire transfers etc 😂
@@2WR I've got a bottle of bourbon, would that kick off the process?.....lol
It ain't gonna hurt things 😂

plenty of videos up on the channel answering that question
Never been to Douglas Falls been all over never their
It's worth checking out. Just a short gravel road to get to the parking area, then a couple hundred yard walk.
The new KTM looks fun ! Why was the Cadillac doing offroad ? Thanks for sharing your ride!
That's a good question. That road is easily passable in a passenger vehicle but I don't know if they decided to park there or just got stuck.

The lighter bike does make it easier to handle off-road.
Looks like an amazing day! Hellbender has been on my list to try for a couple years now. Any chance you have GPS route you can share for this one?
Hellbender was worth the stop. I don't have the GPX files on this one at the moment. Once I fine tune the route a bit, I'll make them available.
Would love to hear some thoughts on your 990 vs 890. Any snatchy throttle on the 990?
I'll get a comparison video out at some point.
👍👍
New bike or just a swap?
For who?
@@2WR - Looked like you were riding an 890 vs the 990 we typically see you on.
Yea, I was on the 890. Had done some upgrades (not to say the 990 hasn't been upgraded) and wanted to test some things out.
I didn't get any text :)
maybe next time
