ST. LOUIS TRAVEL GUIDE: Day Trips Edition - Maramec Spring Park Tour - 5th Largest Missouri Springs

Welcome to my travel guide to Maramec Spring State Parkfilled with trout, a beautiful emerald Spring, and lots of history. The Park is located in St. James Missouri, just under 2 hours away from St. Louis, MO. If you're looking for nature, a day or weekend getaway from the big city, want to go trout fishing, or just enjoy traveling through Missouri looking for a Route 66 Pit Stop, then this is a good spot.
If you thought the spelling was kind of funny, I know, I've misspelled it a million times. Maramec Spring was named a long time ago and they decided to keep it spelled that way, Meramec Spring Park instead of Meramac Springs.

Thanks Dani! Never been to this one, bucket list for sure. Kinda fascinated about Missouri's mining history. It was pretty small scale, but this looks like it might have been one of the biggest.

I didn't know about it until looking for ANY trips outside of St. Louis and stumbled across this one! It's sure pretty there. Yeah, not large scale but probably the biggest in the area!
