I just got my 30th (5 star) review after almost a year of being officially in business and pretty hyped about it. If you are ever in St Louis, my wife and I woukd like to buy you lunch. I've binge watched your content and it has really helped me grow from literally nothing.
@@jeremyashcraft2053people throw around that word illegal. It’s not illegal. It’s probably just code violation. Illegal would be drinking and driving, shoplifting, etc.
After the first year or 2, you should allow the customer to keep the website for just the hosting fee and just charge a reoccurring price for updates. 6000 every year is pretty steep. A developer, web/UI designer, etc from apple and google charge 14k for a top of the line website.
@@steveandstevenslawncare6966 I'm Fine with the price for the service, its how its charged. If someone falls into hard times, they cant just pay 50$ a month for hosting and then reup there budget in good times. Makes the product less sticky.
Just a little note on the address, Google actually needs you to have official story space or office in a business area. Mostly they do not allow you to work business out of your home so if you do that they would restrict your account.
This is so true & I can’t believe it was brushed or skipped over. In the past ( 3 years ago or so ) you could make a home address your “ location “ if you are a mobile service based business. Not any longer, I recently moved to a new home & wanted to also move my location on the Google map. This flagged in the system & cause a HUGE issue for me. Google would not let me update my location without verification. Once again, they USED TO just sent out a flyer that had to be mailed back to them. Now you must create a minute or so video of your business “ location “. They must see that it is an actual office space or something on the lines of that. In my case, I am 95% mobile but I do have an extra driveway & unfinished basement in which I do store parts & on occasion to repair work of particular appliances. I even had a sign made to hang outside my back door. Google said this did not meet the requirements of what they consider a physical location. I was told multiple times by different reps that my location had to be able to have customers that could visit that location during normal business hours & a “staff member “ or myself on location to be considered to have a physical location. I am a one man show so they would not let me list a physical location. This TANKED my business during this time & to be honest I am still losing out on thousands of dollars due to this. They would only let me be a mobile service & despite setting my service area, I get calls from all over & customers saying that my business shows up on the map in places I am no where near. My work around for a bit was to try to start another listing for my business having a physical location. This worked for a while but you are not allowed to have multiple listing for the exact same business. My first listing had over 50 reviews with 5 stars so to start over also really hurt me in the sense that the new listing made it appear that I was a brand new business with no experience even though my business had been up & running for years. Last but not least there is no customer support number to call for Google unless they call you. They give you an email that you can attempt to send in your situation but it can take weeks or even months to get a reply. Needless to say it’s been a nightmare dealing with this & my business is struggling to get the correct representation.

Thank you for your contribution in adding value to home service business content. I'm so grateful that my one stop shop, turnkey one-time investment will provide me with the passive income to get my time back so that I can focus more on becoming a master in home maintenance so that I can keep my property in the best condition possible.
Just know some jurisdictions you can get in trouble if you knock on doors, where im at you need a permit to knock on doors but I can put door hangers with no permit
the sales come from the rule benders unfortunately, what if you just knocked by accident when hanging your flyer😏 a quick hello, I was just in the neighborhood with Trevor down the road an I had to come ask .....
Simple, each door hanger will have a tracking device and hidden camera. That way you know where its been hanged and also track when the owner is home or not
This doesn't work for every business. Land scapping is a lot cheaper and a lot people can afford it. If you doing any trades you will waste your time knocking on doors.

LETS GOOOO!
Yard sign play... drop 100 and move them around to new places every 3 days. You'll reach capacity super fast
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to put yard signs on public property.

This is the most legitimate, informative, how-to, exceptional, thorough marketing video ever! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I did yard signs spent like $900 all of them were ripped out and thrown away within a week

I think they are doing SEO constantly to help rank locally. So you are paying for that and at that rate that’s cheap for good SEO

Hey Mike the link to the video on how to start a lawn care business did not pop up
What if you don’t have a physical office and go to peoples homes. Can you verify a home address with video verification?
If you did door hangers or hire someone to do door hangers, how do you know they’re handing them out?
Simple, each door hanger will have a tracking device and hidden camera. That way you know where its been hanged and also track when the owner is home or not
Aren’t door hangers illegal
