  • Live performance of her Spanish version of the Roy Orbison song "Crying", at the 25th anniversary convention of WEA Records in about 1995.
This was before David Lynch used her stunning voice in his 2001 film "Mulholland Drive".

It's a Spanish cover of Roy Orbison's song 'Crying'. One only has to listen to that English version to understand the words.

I read that when David Lynch was directing Mulholland Drive and the filming was complete, he heard Rebekah del Rio sing this song. He immediately wrote and included the theatre scene which featured Ms. del Rio. She was that good. The film weirded me out but I was so glad that I watched it to the end and heard del Rio sing Llorando. I think Roy Orbison would have been impressed. The Spanish language is perfect for this song and del Rio's voice nails it!! WOW!! Her modest dialogue following the performance exemplifies her respect for the audience and her humble gratitude.

Flawless performance a capella see stole my heart. To educate those who don't know, this composition was written by Roy orbison. And she absolutely owns it. Thank you for the video

Roy Orbison (who wrote the song) and K.D. Kang perform incredible versions of this song (in English), but Rebekah's version in Spanish is my favorite. Beautiful voice.

When Roy sings it, I understand his pain, and feel sorrow for him. Occasionally a tear will escape my eye listening to Roy's amazing and almost understated performance.
With K.D. it's similar, and I'm just in awe of the effortless but somehow still emotional vocals.
With Rebekah, my heart is ripped from its chest, thrown on the ground and shattered into a million pieces, but it's simultaneously mended by the life-force that is her operatic vocal. A sweet sorrow if you will, that leaves me balling like a baby every time.

❤❤❤ Qué voz tan potente y brillante. Transmite todas las emociones del mundo. Qué triste que no se le conozca más, mientras prolifera tanta basura en el medio musical.

Stunning cover version in Spanish of a song written and sung by Roy Orbison and a hit for him in 1962. I thought Roy Orbison’s live version on his U.K. tour in 1963 was electric, and kd lang’s live version just as incredible at a tribute to Roy concert in 1990. But this live version tops them both !! Roy’s duet version with kd lang in 1987 is a close second.

She speaks Spanish with the accent of Spain, not the Latin American accent.
