Thanks man! I used this instructional video to repair my PC headphone jack! So quick and simple! Before watching your video I was actually considering purchasing a complete new jack and soldering it in. Saved me time and money. You get a like from me!
Roy, thanks for the video. I do not understand it. 1. ) What exactly did you say when you inserted the safety pin? 2.) Where did you insert the safety pin? In between the edge off the metal shell and the body of the device? - -. or did you insert the PIN in the middle of the Jack and bend it upward? Would really appreciate a response. Thank you for your uploads and useful information. Best wishes
I was looking for a solution for my notebook earphone jack and found your video! Very good tutorial! I had the same idea as you, but I was afraid to put something inside the jack and f* everything, but after watching your video I feel safe to do it! Thanks for helping people! I'm giving my like for you! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU! I thought I was gonna have to buy a new speaker system. In my case, the metal plates look a bit different to what's shown at 1:00. My input jack has a plate on both sides, and they're facing upwards. I needed to take a pin and pull the plates towards the center, bending it slightly. My issue was that the male AUX (ie. the part you plug in) was only playing sound if I pushed it in a certain direction while it was plugged in. That meant the connection to that side was bad, so I bent the plate on that side inwards.
OMG THANK YOU!!! I had this problem FOR SO LONG i'm talking on discord with friends and when i was moving a bit my headphones would lose connection, i was always getting disconnected from call and from game had to restart everything if the cable was moving a bit. I noticed if i was pushing the jack in certain direction the connection was fine so i did what you said, instantly fixed it, thank you brother, you saved me from putting the pc in service and probably paying a lot and loosing time for fixing that stuff.
Thanks a lot for this!. This is the one video that really works for me. i followed his video carefully and my 3.5 audio jack port works normally now. Before only my left earphones are emitting sound nownit works perfectly.
Going to try this on ASUS TUF A15 Laptop with a bad headphone jack about a month after I bought it. Too much hassle to deal with the warranty but thanks for this video as a confirmation to give this a try.

though a different device, its the same thing, and mine is royally screwed and i may need to take it into someone to get it fixed, but this at least helped me figure out a likely problem. Thanks for this.
@@RoyTecTips you will see that most of the successful ones don't talk like everyone else. They don't get caught in the trendy ways. It doesn't matter to me because I am looking for information. Question: I have this Irig, it's like an adaptor for the guitar, allowing me to use any speaker as an amplifier for my guitar, but the sound the irig sends is incredibly low, I barely hear any, and also the speaker I use is fairly loud. But when I plug the guitar on my 10 watt amp, it's pretty loud. Can replacing the input jack of the irig fix this problem? Thanks
What iRig do you use? It depends on the device. Speakers are not designed to amplify sound, they are mainly designed to replay already recorded audio and transmit it as is. On the other hand guitar amplifiers work by taking a certain sound and increasing it, that's why it's called "amplifier". So basically it's normal for your speaker to be low when used as an amplifier.

how do you know where to bend? also what did you use to bend with because im having a lot of trouble
So what you're saying is that you bent the plate that's on the side that played audio when the male aux was pushed towards
