    I can’t believe it! I literally only watched up to when you took out a tooth pick and grabbed one at home, declogged some unthinkable pocket lint from the port on the phone, plugged in my headphones and they started work. Dude you actually may have saved me from having to go and buy another phone!! Thank you!!

      I accidently put milk in it and then it didn't work I knew it wasn't my earphones because I tried it on my dad's phone and it worked and then I tried so much stuff 🥲 then I found this video thank goodness I found this video 😭😭

      Yeah, a needle will work but has a much higher chance of causing some damage, which is why I recommend wood or plastic.

      Maybe go out for a nice steak dinner? Or just a supermarket. A pack of 100 is $1 here in Australia - worth the investment to have them handy.

      @@blackcath3dral - yes, anything that isn't made of metal is an option, however those earbuds can leave little bits of residue behind, and also are often not hard enough to pick up and scrape off the little bits of crud in there. Worth a short if you have nothing else! A wooden skewer will work too.

    Oh my god...I was literally panicking that why my earphones were not working in my android tab as they were were working on other devices.
    After watching your video and reading so many positive comments I became hopeful and tried this technique,and boom it worked!!And yes there was some dirt in it...So thank you so much for this!^_^

    I had issues with the earphone jack and charging port. It would occasionally work but has been loose quite a lot. After watching your video I established that it was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Now the earphone jack is never loose and the charging works fine. Thanks for the video Pete. You're a genius

    this video is actually REALLY HELPFULL!! I thought my earphones got broken but when I tried using it to other devices it was working fine..so I realized the culprit was my iphone, I thought of going to the repairman or something. Then I came across this video, and followed your advice. And yeah, I found a lot of gross stuff in there :D It really works, now Im listening to your video again with my earphones on. thanks!

    I used to have the problem of my phone not playing any sound because the crud was gathering on the contacts and the device thought it was connected to a dock so it would disable the speakers. I’ve always used a toothpick to clear the dirt that gathers in the ports. Had this problem occur three times total and all three were fixed in less than 20”. Solid advice
    Always be extra careful when you stick pointy objects in sensitive electronics, although toothpicks are soft enough that they can’t cause damage to the internal, I believe.

    Legend mate, my jack works again!
    Too much lint in the hole stopped my earphones plugging in properly and then always falling out.

    Just wanted to thankyou ive not been able to use my nice wired headphone for some time. after watching this i spend a good 5 to 10 mins clearing out the Headphone jack and was amazed at the amount of crud that came out. Now they work like a dream thankyou.

    Cant believe the amount of lint that came out of the jack. Had an issue where the iPad would mistakenly think there were headphones connected, and now the regular sound is working again, thank you! 🙏

      So I managed to fix it without having to get it sent to someone to fix. I took a small piece of foil and wrapped it around the earphone jack and sent it in slowly. Once it bit inside I twisted the jack and got it to work. I now have sound with music and with voice.

      Nice one! Yes, sometimes it takes 30 seconds, but other times you can be digging in there for a while before you get it cleaned out. Worth it to get working headphones again!
