- We are back at Disneyland for the opening of a brand new restaurant, Tiana’s Palace. We’re going to try the entire menu and tell you what’s good and what’s not. We’ll also run into Tiana herself and give you a tour of the new Disneyland dining venue. How do Princess Tiana's Beignets compare to the Mickey Beignets at Mint Julep Bar? We'll find out! When I was a super young teen (12?) Jaffar was on main street and he floated, chasing after me and a friend… we ran into the bathroom. He was on skates I think. This was 25 years ago probably. We were young enough to be scared lol. Though intellectually we understood we did not need to be scared. It was in the in between stages haha.

I agree with you about the mobile order. Especially to reduce the use of plastic. Here, in the Netherlands, we now actually have to pay 5 or 10 cents extra for every product that comes in plastic. McDonalds even has cups with a deposit to reduce the use of plastic.
It’s so weird that Disney has gotten rid of plastic straws but then basically forces everyone to do mobile order and serve everything in plastic containers

The Cornbread is the stand out on the new menu! I love spicy, but found the gumbo to be a little too much when you get close to the end. I second you on the mobile order too. I used it to skip the line and was surprised to see it in take out containers. We still ate in the dining area anyway :) Thanks for the great video and I look forward to more Halloween content from you both soon 🎃

I LOVE N.O. food. I totally agree on the shrimp and grits (though mine were all mixed together since I mobile ordered). Sometimes the beef in these types of sandwiches is supposed to be shredded - but if its machine shredded its too fine. It ends up being as you said - consistency of a tuna sandwich. And traditional Po'boys do have mayo, tomato, and lettuce. The muffuletta was made in a very traditional way - the olive tapenade (or jardinière) is key - and it looks like its been there a day to let it soak in to the bread - which is what is supposed to be. Yes the Lemon!!!!

Thank you for your review of Tiana's Palace. The po' boy sandwich is a tricky thing to get right. Usually, the shrimp po'boy is the best, which I see is not an option. You have to eat the beignets from Tiana's first because the treat will be warm, thus the sign "Dessert First." The Mickey beignets are warm, and you eat them immediately, making them more appealing. Keep up the great work!

I had a very different corn bread. It was cold and dry. Maybe I’m just used to a certain cornbread in the south.
That is unfortunate, ours was moist warm and delicious

So glad you guys got to enjoy Tiana's Palace! I went close to opening date & it was packed constantly, couldn't find a mobile order slot all day long. Still got my Monte Cristo & mint julep fix at Cafe Orleans, but I really wanted to try the chicory coffee & Tiana's beignet! I had to laugh at the train giving punctuation on a couple of Peter's statements!
Ha we had to fight the train for when we could film, was always interrupting us 😂

Great video but I cracked up at the ice box comment 😂 maybe it’s an East Coast thing but I’m from NY and I’ve grown up hearing everyone including myself say when it’s cold that “it’s as cold as an icebox in here” … even visited the Cape (Cape Cod) during the winter once and remember my pops saying damn “it’s as cold as an ice box” when we stopped to see the ocean .. ahh fond memories but definitely a saying!
