Most Expensive Restaurant On Icon of the Seas! Overpriced or Worth it?

We are on Icon of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world and today it docks in St. Kitts for the first time ever, and we’ll get off the ship and get into some monkey business. Back on the ship we’ll explore more areas we haven’t seen yet, including Rye & Bean a coffee themed cocktail bar and the Park Cafe in Central Park which has a sandwich that is to die for. We’ll spend some more time exploring the Surfside neighborhood, a section of the ship dedicated to families but that doesn’t mean there isnt some fun for adults. And at night we’ll go to Empire Supper Club, the most expensive restaurant on the ship, which offers a fine dining 8-course meal, each with their own paired cocktails and songs performed by a New York jazz trio. Is it overpriced or worth the hype? Come with us on this adventure!

Maby fun fact: The purpouse of having the pinky out is to cusson the glass or cup so it won´t make a sound when you place it down, it also served the dual purpose to cussion the cup or glass so the stem don´t shatter since crystal glass and bone china used to be super fragile(and still is). There are also some sources that say it was to touch the glass as little as possible because servants had touched it, I don´t know about that one...
It was suprisingly common to get injuriess by the stem of a broken champagen glass
that looked like creyfish.
I just really love that Kidder always finds carrot cake without fail 😂❤

I've been to multiple multicourse food and drink dinners and this one looks well beyond worth it for the $200 price. From food alternate choices and food and drink pairings to portion size so you can enjoy the whole meal without being miserable at the end, this was an ultimate meal and entertainment experience.

The Empire club looked well worth the price. Heck cheaper then what my husband and I spend at Nobu in vegas. So happy you enjoyed it. The monkeys, omg you two kill me lol
I was surprised at the quality of everything from the food to the drinks to the entertainment to the service. I left so stuffed

"East of Houston" is a play on the name of an area of NYC (the theme of the restaurant) called South of Houston (SOHO). So it's pronounced House-ton. Additionally, the "Delta Theme" is Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin and is probably the unofficial theme of NYC. (or at least it was before "New York, New York" hit the scene.

Lots of good local pizza shops that use those New York style deck ovens ... If you're in SoCal and ever in the Huntington Beach area look up 'Ghost Pizza Kitchen' right off the 405 freeway on Edinger ave ,,, they really make a great New York slice ,, but order the whole pizza you'll get more flavor from a fresh made pizza vs a reheated slice ... They also have one location in LA and one in Burbank too

Ive been on 3 cruises so far in my life, one of them was a Disney cruise, and i still remember our waiter at the fancy restaurant. Im neurodivergent and a very picky eater, so i ended up getting buttered noodles and fries, and he was so so nice to me. His name is Nazeem and i still remember what he looks like and everything. He was so nice my mom took a picture of us, and she still has it framed in her home😂❤ He was by far the best server ive ever had, i had a HUGE melt down before dinner because i knew they didnt have anything i liked, and he just made me feel comfortable and he went way out of his way to feed me. Im 34 now and this was when i was in 4th grade, and ill probably always remember him. Yalls videos make me want to go on another cruise😂 I dont travel much because of medical conditions i have, but cruises really are fun, and they aren't as hard on my system as flying is. Ive only been on a few, but i feel like cruises are something you can do over and over again and still not experience everything there is to do. Especially now with these big ships! Its so crazy seeing how big this is!

Wow, what a fun experience the Empire Supper Club seemed to be, looked very cool. The one hit wonder show at the end was fun as well. Sad that we only have one more video of this cruise, but every video has been so wonderful.

It’s an amazing ship. If you decide rot go I would wait a year or so to book because right now the prices have like doubled due to demand and then being nearly sold out for the first year

We were just on Icon of the Seas last week and ate at Empire Supper Club for my birthday and was one of the best dining experience I have ever had. My favorite course was the raviolo. It was fun seeing your different reactions to the different drinks and showed how different palates can be. Great video!

The sandwich you had is affectionately called a “beef on weck.” The roll is simply pronounced Kimmel-weck. It is native to the northeast around Buffalo/Western NY. It was originally crafted in Polish delis- most notably Charlie the Butcher or Schwabels. It has a Wikipedia page. It is extremely popular in the region, and usually served with aus ju, horseradish, and a dill pickle.

In one of JoJo's videos of the same cruise you said that by the time your videos came out everyone had seen them because JJ was doing them right away, while that is true your perspective is very much appreciated. I am a server at a restaurant called Marina in Pasadena, CA and we have a rabbit bolognese. It turns so many people off seeing “rabbit” on the menu but it’s very popular. Come visit sometime!
