This is fantastic, I just ordered it the Jetson Bolt Pro kit from you guys! If this works out, well, I may order for the Jetson Haze, as well! As, I have two Jetson Hazes! So, I am to understand that the batteries drain at the same time, while using this kit? This means I do not need any type of switch or to plug and unplug various connections? Correct? Then, when the battery indicator becomes low, and it’s down to the last light, I just need to charge both batteries up separately, fully, and I’m ready to go again! Correct? If this is true, then this is a fantastic set up! I’ve already started recommending these kids to other people on RUclips, who, also own Jetson ebikes! This is one of the easiest and best set up so I’ve seen yet, when it comes to adding an external battery, to the Jetson Bolt Pro and the Jetson Haze, as well! Thank you for coming up with this, fantastic method, for adding an external battery, to each ebike! I’ve already purchased, a 15 amp hour battery, from Amazon, for t my Bolt Pro ebike! Can’t wait to get it mounted! I will be using a modified rear bike rack, that attaches to the seat, post, and the rear wheel fastening area! Here is that video for installing a heavy duty rack, on the back of a Jetson bolt pro! How to install a heavy duty rack for the Jetson bolt pro: ruclips.net/video/T6BUvPqrJuA/видео.html
I just purchased 3 of the volt pros. I personally love them. Don’t really need to be flying got sports cars for that but would really like some more range. This looks like the way I’m going. Seems like a plug n play type. Year later how is it holding up? Great video by the way. Love the jungle theme🤙🏽 mahalo
Greetings, I didn't see that you connected the charging cable for the second added battery. Are they charged at the same time, through the charging cable that you already have (OEM)? Thank you, very good video and contribution.
Greetings, I have another somewhat technical question. What batteries should I use in terms of voltage and which should not, for that same configuration in the Jetzon Bolt Pro. Let me explain: 36v 15.6ah or 48v 13ah or 48v 20ah batteries or which one do you recommend? I don't know much about the subject and I don't want to put a very strong battery in and it gets damaged. Many thanks in advance!
Hello the dual battery discharge balancer Kit I received feels high quality. I have two questions. Can one battery have a lesser charge than the other when connecting? also, if in the future I get the same exact stock battery can I still use it the same way and possible charge it together at same time while connected?
Yes the balancer allows you to connect one battery of lesser charge. You may add any battery of the same voltage rating. Meaning, you can add different amp hours just make sure your voltage rating matches. For the bolt pro the voltage rating is 36V
@@ElectricAllWheel yes it seems to work fine. I'm new to e-bikes ... lol when the battery indicator lights go from 4 lights to 3. sometimes it will go back to showing 4 (full) after releasing the throttle . just wondering if that is normal due to voltage changing from using power 🆚 me peddling
The requirement to have both batteries at the same charge rate before connecting. The balancer allows for the combination of batteries that have not been stabilized at a mutual voltage (one charged more than the other) and to be able to use them without the worry of imbalanced discharge and the batteries damaging one another.
@@ElectricAllWheel Would I have to upgrade the controller for more speed and power? I’m new to E-bikes. My Jetson Bolt Pro will be here soon. I plan on using it for food delivery and transportation. It’s hilly and wet here in Seattle.
Yes you would need to update your controller and possibly your motor. The bolt is a 36V system so it’s going to be hard for it to measure up to hilly terrain
Can I charge my two batteries with their respective chargers on their charge connectors without having to first disconnect the batteries from the charge balancer?

Please send me a link to a complete plug and play link with includes the balancer, battery, cables and bag. Thanks. Great video

I didn't see that you connected the charging cable for the second added battery.
Are they charged at the same time, through the charging cable that you already have (OEM)?
Thank you, very good video and contribution.
The batteries will need to be independently charged from their own charging ports
@@ElectricAllWheel Thank you!
@@ElectricAllWheel so you get a second charger or use the stock and use both on it but one at a time(use longer time)?

can you charge both batteries with one charger? or you need to charge both batteries independently
Independent charging
Have a question..i have. Jetson pro. Battery shows full. But barely want to move ..any idea would be greatly appreciated..ty
Can i do this upgrade without the extra 50 dollar cord?
How does the second battery charge?
The second battery has its own charger and charge connection.
So you cannot use the factory Jetson charger on the second battery?

hello will this set up work on my DYU S2 bike? I'm excited about this!
Hi Angelo. Send us an email at electricallwheel@gmail.com and we will take a look
Can we use 36 volt battery and 48 volt at the same time with balancer
You will want to match the voltages of your batteries.
I bought one of the battery balancers and i'm curious if it would make the battery indicator light fluctuate
I have a 6.5ah and 12ah
We haven’t heard about any issues like this. Is everything working properly?
@@ElectricAllWheel yes it seems to work fine.

@cannibaldee normal. Each bar represents a larger range and when you reduce voltage sag over time it returns a higher value
I have an extra Jetson battery. Can i parallel 2 Jetsons battery with this?
Yes
@@ElectricAllWheel you rock.
Hello. Is there an issue with plugging the battery in parallel without the discharge balancer? Thanks

@@ElectricAllWheel thanks for the explanation and response.
That upgrade cost as much as the remanufactured bike. How does it run after the upgrade? Steep hill test please.
The upgrade more than doubles the range.
The motor capabilities do not change and thus the function would be the same, just a longer range.

For ultimate safety it is recommended to disconnect at least one battery.
However, often we charge our batteries as you have described.
