What was Ariel Rider thinking in regards to the front wheel motor setup? I have a set of those tires on my Aniioki A8 DM (with both Tannus Armour and Flat Out... paranoid about goatheads in SoCal). They are so worth it.
Thanks for sharing the install video. Question: What model number is that Park Tool stand ? I’m surprised it holds the heavy bike.
Good day, great build; I’m hoping to build one myself. Do you have recall the bottom bracket size?
For the BBSHD It’s the big one. 120 we believe.
@@ElectricAllWheel Thank you so much for the reply. Great build!
Great video. I have a smarttrave stf01, I'm in new jerseyl and have been looking for upgrade videos for the battery, thanks!
I'm here for the nonsense
All the buttons pushed 😎
Speaking of Elect. Latina, any comments on the E-Cells Monstar?
I enjoy yalls channel. I agree keep it positive. I recently got a Billy Goat. Im super happy with my purchase. I like watching yall to get some tips. I put in tire liners and flat out. Keep up the great work
How many ah battery can the wired cruiser handle.I liked your last video adding a 3rd 60v battery I'm thinking of welding another 25ah rear rack 60v battery on to the existing 15ah battery rack.also have a heavy chain lock in the wired front basket. This should offset the weight?
Great to see Brad !! i hope whoever invented Zip-Ties won the noble peace prize
Why did you have to change the forks? I thought the RSTs were what were required for the new front motor?
Factory through axle versus dropouts for the the motor
How would you assess Flat-Out vs Tannus Liners ? I am new to e-bikes and have installed Flatout. So far so good, but I have seen a lot of folks online saying Tannus liners prevent more flats over Flat-Out or Slime ? Thoughts ?
look for a video on youtube a guy did a comparison with a bunch of products that prevent flats and Flat-out beat them all including Tannus liners
For the amount of effort to put those pool noodles AKA tannus liners inside the wheel, it's not even worth it. Just get the flat out "quick strike" version. Slime is trash. If you get a pinhole it will perpetually leak oily residue between the tube and the inner tire. You might blow the bead eventually. Which has happened to me in the past.
Great video
Duuuudes how lucky am I to have clicked on this!!! I'm in St.pete FL yall aren't even an hour away!!! Ill have an Eahora romeo pro 2 in a couple months, now I know a good place to bring it if something goes wrong! Plus I was thinking of swapping things out for higher quality parts such as motors and controllers!
Another great video. Awesome work guys. Keep up the great content. 🤙🤙🤙🤙😎🇺🇸✌️
Citizen cycle just made a more speed and menu and correct tire pressure Analysis, ruclips.net/video/QflAzKXLAW4/видео.htmlsi=wPyeBPVRkGWncB9r
Hey, i also installed a 2nd battery on my ebike and i wanted to ask you if i could use only one of them? It's hard to reach the dual battery adapter to unplug the mounting plate of the battery that I won't be using and to also connect the mounting plate of the battery that I will be using directly to the controller. That's why i am asking if it's ok to use only battery with the dual battery adapter, will that cause any damage to anything? Thanks 👍🏼
You’ll be fine. It works with one or two plugged in.
@ElectricAllWheel thanks 👍🏼
Low tire pressure in rear as you had and winds gives you less speed, try giving us a true analysis, I get 41 mph with mine and weigh 240 , 5’9 you also lost about 1 to 2 miles with heavier tires, HEB tires are 2 pounds heavier each than Kendas.
Unfortunately we had no time. It was in and out. The install route, the plan, all had to be done late night and real time to turn the bike over. It sounds like you know, we had to make our way. I feel lucky simply to have ridden it
Thanks I Understand , just reveal that in your test, because it can get touchy comments if you don’t as you already know, nice video though thanks.
Be sure to add back a zip tie where it was before on the metal connector by the kickstand it will come loose over time with vibration. It’s the thick metal motor connector. Citizen cycle does tell you to figure your own way in cable run, so he just gave you an idea not the norm so it’s up to you to have have your own idea for cable run and he clearly says that as all his videos nothing new and hopefully you can reveal that. I recommend using good tools so you don’t strip screw heads and having some experience mechanically. Because it’s all on you if you don’t,
When I did mine, I used the touch up paint the bike came with to cover the the cut edge I made on the housing plate so the aluminum is not showing and made sure it’s smooth not to cut into wires going into housing.
Careful, that weight will snap those rack mount welds in no time!
I added handlebar 2” extensions for thumb throttle and everything else to fit , supper strong extensions from Amazon. I have same bike
Will this display work on the Gotrax R2/F2?
On Stepthru that Crank is going to be a tight fit on anything over 52T 😬
I purchased the ECells Step Star, but it was not delivered as ordered, and after numerous emails and phone calls, things are still not resolved. Their website claims "unparalleled customer service", but it hasn't been unparalleled in a good way... I also discovered that E-cells has an F rating with Better Business Bureau.
I couldn't find E-cells in the BBB. Why don't you give us a link?
The E-Cells 5 star is on PRE-ORDER right now with a new design.
Careful, you may incite a riot 😎
Whoa! I knew this hugely polarizing comparision would bring out hurt egos. I think a lot of it is sales remorse on their part. I have the same 5 star bike and have loved it and rode it a ton. 3,000 miles and counting!
pretty bad when the music is louder than the voice. as for the comparison? uh be honest - the better build quality speaks for itself. Ive seen both ebikes sitting still, as well as in motion. after months in my opinion the ecells is built better. the wired might be [well is] a "little" faster, but is also a little lighter. * both have the same nylon/steel gears. [most 1k+ quality motors should have those] (its the current standard) the AR kepler has them too. as a few more do & I see that we can buy them for our hub motors too, its an option. the wired is more spindly [it is a lighter more svelte ebike] It has its purpose and market for those that want that. it is quick and nimble, it looks to handle well. the 5 star is just (slightly) heavier, better built for stout use, So a tiny bit slower on the flats, but on a hill climb it is a tiny bit ahead of the wired [by a little] the 5 star got warm on the limb, the wired got warm n slowed, the rider stopped to let it cool. [from my perspective that might be why the wired was a little slower on the climb] still a deciding factor. the controller placement and temperature is a deciding factor. both are "kind of" close in the speed, but for me the low end torque wins. just that little bit extra up a hill or off the line is my happy place. Im not in a race to get top speed wins. I am more of a type that wants to get there in comfort and feel good and safe, so low n slow for my win ;) for the short thought: on one hand you have a horse - it goes fast until your on a trail with hills. on the other you have a mule. slower, but steady, secure so you know you will arrive safe and sound. the mule is a steady ride, not as high maintenance as the horse, not as easily spooked. each has pros and cons for me? Ill pick the safe steady ride [I prefer mountain trails n roads] the QC on the wired front axle? it is NOT the spindly unsafe skewer [Ive got those] they are quicker to break. the current wired has the QC lever on a thru axle - it has a "nut" on one end, But a true strong thru axle. a nice touch Ive seen on many High speed & Mountain ebikes & emotos & a few motorcycles where the makers agree it is a much safer thing to have than the old skewer type. it is quicker [quick release] to get the tire off, buut (?) [again I have a few of these skewers with the QC on ebikes & bikes] yup not so safe as a real axle. I agree [Im old school, A motorbike rider] an axle with nuts are best, and those forks that have the bolts to secure the axle is even better. simple and safe. You can "see" it. [my opinion anyway] :) I have been shopping ebikes as I want one for the off road & my mtn roads. I keep comparing them to the 5 star and it might cost a few hundred more, buut it has more. so more value, for that few hundred $ more. the "spacer" and bolt in the rear suspension on the ecells is something thats better too. the brackets (rack) are thicker too. that lill bit adds to stability [just saying the obvious] I see several "cheaper] 1k + motor ebikes, but the quality of the ecells is what I come back to. in my book? a better build is what I want.
I've never changed a bike tire, let alone an ebike. I found a pretty nice one on the local used market and I don't care for the Kendra stock tires. I ordered the HEB Allscapes with tubes, some tire and rim liners, and a bottle of FlatOut. Everything should be here next week and I feel GTG. It would have taken me an hour drive into town, then wait all day or pick it up in a few days. Y'alls video gave me the knowledge and confidence to do it myself. Plus, I saved enough on labor and travel to get a decent repair stand.
Also if u do not want to use the second battery can u just unplug it to return single battery operation?
Yes
thanks just ordered. looking forward to gping on rides with my buddy who has xpremium.
Why are you using the old wired freedom? Their current freedom model is much better.
Because comparing a 45A controller bike with dual battery to a 40A single battery bike makes no sense
@ElectricAllWheel Lame you always put current versions against each other.
@sammyjames1929 luckily we don’t operate by whatever rules you decided would force you to make this comment. Thanks for watching!
@ElectricAllWheel Extremely Lame and you know it. Look at your comments. I think more agree with me than you. Maybe go get some of your friends to trash my comments so you look better. You'll probably just shadow ban or delete my comment anyway. You got thin skin because you know I'm right.
After nearly 200 days of waiting for my Ecells custom 5 Star Dual Star, I've decided to spend my $$ elsewhere
the new freedom control does not need parameters for the settings. Very simple straight forward options.
I just bought a wired freedom duel battery and the wired predator. Both of those bikes came with all the manuals that you said they didnt come with. The reason I decided to go with wired over ecells is because I called ECells 3 times and was hung up on 3 times. You could here the line pick up and then disconnect. Everytime I have called Wired someone always picks up. Maybe next spring when I purchase another bike Ecells will pick up the phone. Bummer. I love these Wired bikes! I do not regret buying them. Answer the phone Ecells!
This is a very thorough comparison and a clear win for the ECells. Would also be interesting to see a comparison to the updated Wired against the newer generations of the 5 Star/Kingstar. However, in general I prefer safety, stability, and a solid feel over max speed. I own the 5 Star with dual battery and rarely use max speed, often use max acceleration, and ALWAYS enjoy the solid quality. I would not trade the feel and quality for a few more MPH.
Your video is lame why wou you compare a older model wired use the current model and in your race i can see you peddling to keep up when the other guy is clearly heavier than you the current wired freedom with destroy that bike in a race 😂
WTF is Dean? T-plug guy? Any relation to Phillip, the screwdriver guy. I would like to tune-up both of them.
Lol. I think it’s the original maker/designer or brand name. Like Velcro for hook and loop or Coke For a cola drink.
YO YO hows it going great video my brother will this work on a LECTRIC XP LITE 1?
Matt, I very much enjoyed this video. If you want to get into doing more bike reviews, great. But please keep doing what you're doing. There's a lot of people doing bike reviews. There's just you with all the kits, updates, and how-to video that I love to see. I've referenced Electric All Wheel many times with links to the hardware and supporting videos you made so others can do more with the bike they have. Thank you for all you do!!!
Would this work on the xpedition 2.0 model?
Looks like cramp.... I installed my thrid batt oppisite of the cross bar battery..
Thanks for your super detailed review!
Thanks for great videos. I installed the balancers on my 2 xp 3.0s. I purchased the H Hailong 10000 for one of the 3.0s. Now the H Hailong is unavailable. What would be a good replacement?
what battery case is that ? the link wasnt right.
The manufacturer for the battery has closed their Amazon store. The battery is a 48v 10Ah with XT60 connectors
Im just about to do this, and just a heads up for you guys the Hailong batteries with the cases are no longer available. Looking for a cased alternative now.
Hey there, I just installed the dual batter balancer. I wanted to know if a triple balancer is available ?
You could add another balancer to the input of one battery connector or we do have the Dx4 quad battery input
Did you have to reduce the Gates belt tension before removing the front sprocket?
We did not. We leveraged the sprocket and then rotated the it back on until it seated itself. If you do have to loosen tension, be sure to get the gates app that will using frequency of the belt tension to let you know if it’s tightened appropriately
@@ElectricAllWheel Thank you for the info. Do you know how to purchase the Pinion sprocket tool? I see it on their site but didn't see a purchase cart.
Came close to pulling the trigger on the Wired Freedom right around the time when all the hooplah came out about a Ecells "clone" of the Freedom. Thats when I started looking into Ecells more. I finally went for the 5 Star. I never rode a Wired but I can say I'm totally happy with the 5 Star. Rides beautifully, the power is astonishing. It takes me up the steepest hills faster than my 750w mid drive bike does. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.
“I felt like I was going to die 4 to 5 times.” Welcome to mountain biking. Hahaha
Can’t wait to do it again. Let’s ride by the lake!
