Hey RUclips here is a detailed video step by step how I rebuilt my window channels. This allows the water to stay out of your cab, reduce wind noise and glass rattle when driving down the road.
In my video I provide all part number from LMC Truck which are very affordable and a MUST have when restoring these old trucks. It has made a huuuge difference when riding in the cab. Leak proof and quiets down the road noise and window rattle.
Please make sure you watch entire video, comment, like, and subscribe!

Thanks so much, glad this helped!
I didn't have the same luck with the door weatherstrip from LMC. Mine are too bulky that my door does not close correctly. Just ordered another one from another parts provider.
Sorry to hear that. National parts depot is another good place for classics
Thanks for the video. I have completed all the step shown above, but my window now is very hard to roll up. Does that tell you I did something wrong? If so any tips….I’m new so I m trying to learn.
Thanks, I’m glad my video helped out in some way. Yes, they will be stiff and over time get worn in. You can pick up a can of silicone spray from Oreillys, auto zone, Walmart and spray the velvet-like channels. This will ask as a lubricant and allow for rolling up a lot faster. Search here on RUclips, there’s a few vids and helps a lot.
Man,I can't find any help for the window seals for a 1978 Ford Thunderbird..
Do you think the top of the door weatherstripping would work just fine on the 67-72? Thinking about ordering the same part number.
Here is link to LMC Truck for your years:

@@OperationRV all I see is the PN 49-9336 for the on cab weatherstripping, which I also need, but not the one you put around the door itself
