Wow! This really has opened my eyes to some information that I never knew before. Also thank you for clearing up the mystery regarding the odd looking Dalek that was used in the photo shoot with Jill Curzon, of which made me wonder ever since I was old enough to stop looking at Jill and to pay attention to more important things, such as the toy Dalek that she was shown holding in a few shots (I used to own one of the reissues but sadly I lost it in a fire at a storage depo where it was being kept while I was moving house, along with a large number of other items) and yes, the odd looking Claw that the Dalek sports in the photos. Just wondering, will you be covering the history of the Dalek seen in the 1970s Katy Manning photo shoot, I know that not all of the shots show her alongside the Dalek and the images are somewhat NSFW (if you get what I mean) but I would like to know a little more about it, particularly with regards to how it was decided to show the Dalek with it's eye removed from it's Eyestork, most likely this was probably meant to be a very obvious joke but I'm sure that there's a story behind it anyway. Just wondering, I know that you have already done a (very good) video cover some of the production aspects of 'The Chase' but it is still a confirmed fact whether or not if the larger sized Daleks seen inside the DARDIS were indeed Movie style Daleks, only with the bases removed? Thank you for uploading, and yes I have subscribed to your channel as well.
Hi Christopher. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the memories and questions! What we know of the the Katy Manning Dalek and The Chase Daleks is all over on our main website at www.dalek6388.co.uk Although we may make videos on them in the future!
I barely remember TV 21, but I do remember one story and a bit of another. Did you know that they did cross-over stories? One of them had Steve Zodiac from Fireball XL5 up against the Daleks from Dr Who. (That one is the "bit of" which I remember, because it was episodic and I only saw a bit at the end of one episode - the magazine which I found was already falling to pieces) In case you're interested, the other story I remember was a Fireball XL5 story where Steve tries to stop a spaceship from crashing into a planet which has an unexpectedly strong gravity field (I know, in reality he'd know the gravity of the planet long before getting to it, but this was for kids, remember). The attempt fails and both the other spaceship and XL5 crash onto the planet, then Steve, being the only one still relatively uninjured, has to salvage two rocket engines from the other spaceship and add them onto XL5 in order to be able to take off again.
@@melkiorwiseman5234 You have a better memory than I have. I don't remember the Steve Zodiac/Dalek storyline I have a few TV 21, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet annuals and I also have The Dalek Chronicles with all of the Dalek storyline in, minus the Steve Zodiac story.
two comments for info : though I doubt that either will help uncover anymore daleks: you have tastefully omitted the appearance of a dalek in Katie Manning's glamour shoot; I remember Royce Mills' name credited on tv I think, as a dalek voice, I had noticed his name as an actor in the ITV soap "Crossroads"

Thank Kai! That’s much appreciated! The music is a take on the famous incidental music in Death to the Daleks and the title of the videos is a parody on Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. The music was done by the very talented Graeme Allan for us!
I remember seeing a black skirted Dalek in the second forbidden planet shop in London just after it opened - they also had a head of a Nimon from the show the horns of the nimon - has thus ever been tracked down?
Hmm I know of a silver skirted Dalek in one of the FP shops. It *could* have some original parts but it certainly isn’t all genuine as they seem to think it is. I’m les clues on on Nimon’s though!
Superb video, I salute your dedicated detective work in spotting such minor details like bolt holes to uniquely identify the props! I do have a question (which might have been answered in an earlier video); were the Dalek props in 2150AD new for that film (excluding the Curse Daleks) or were they all reused from the first Cushing movie?
They were all new. We have traced the fate of all the first movie props (bar one - the flame thrower one) and they were either given away as prizes or stayed on the tour. We may do a video on that in the future.
Absolutely fascinating once again! Thank you for all of your hard work, research and time and effort in making these. Is it wrong to want a dvd/Blu-ray? 🤔 👏👏👏👏

Absolutely fascinating. Joyous!
Thank you!
I always wanted to see the Golden Emperor from the TV 21 storyline to make an appearance.
I barely remember TV 21, but I do remember one story and a bit of another. Did you know that they did cross-over stories? One of them had Steve Zodiac from Fireball XL5 up against the Daleks from Dr Who.
(That one is the "bit of" which I remember, because it was episodic and I only saw a bit at the end of one episode - the magazine which I found was already falling to pieces)
In case you're interested, the other story I remember was a Fireball XL5 story where Steve tries to stop a spaceship from crashing into a planet which has an unexpectedly strong gravity field (I know, in reality he'd know the gravity of the planet long before getting to it, but this was for kids, remember).
Just stumbled across this video and channel, absolutely fascinating, great stuff!
Thank you very much!
Spectacular episode.
Now that is a nerdy video and as someone who recognises the music that is meant as a compliment
I made a small one out of cardboard and sellotape once; I used half an eggshell for the dome top lol
Discovered this channel today and what a find it was. Thanks for your efforts!
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the videos. We have more to come!
Fantastic detective work... so not pure movie Daleks after all.
No.... an even greater history!
two comments for info : though I doubt that either will help uncover anymore daleks:
you have tastefully omitted the appearance of a dalek in Katie Manning's glamour shoot;
I remember Royce Mills' name credited on tv I think, as a dalek voice, I had noticed his name as an actor in the ITV soap "Crossroads"
I expect we will cover Katy’s photoshoot in another video!
Nice one again lads , well done.
London 1965! That reminds me of the Doctor Who Marathon last year! XD 11:52
;)
ah yes i remember that oh god those memes were funny
Great video. Looking forward to more.
Thank you!
Anyone else notice the position of the Dalek's eyestalk in the Honey magazine photo (4:54) :D
😂
Speaking of which, where does the Dalek that famously posed with Katy Manning figure in all this?
Really great stuff! You’re detail and amount of research is simply immaculate! By the way, how many of these do you plan on doing? I hope you do a lot more of these?
Brilliant, keep these coming!
Thanks Al!
This is some crazy detective work
:D
Excellent work once again!
Thank you Paul!
Amazing... fascinating ! Thank you soooo much ! :)
just discovered this channel, this was so interesting and well researched
you have a new sub sir
Thank you! Thats much appreciated! :)
Well I would never have ever known anything about this at all, found this very interesting to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it
Fabulous. Loving these vids! ☺
Thank you Wayne!
This is my kind of fandom. Brilliant!
another cracking episode guys !
Thank you Steven!
Terry Nation: I created the Daleks
Davros: I used to Rule the World
The main music track used in this video has been hiding in plain sight on Soundcloud for a while now. You can listen to it at: soundcloud.com/brassbandit/a-flying-saucer
Clue: death to the daleks
This is gloriously obsessive!
Honey magazine: Young, Gay and Get Ahead? Well, that's very forward looking of them.
A few years back a Dalek head was found in a swamp.
Yes that was hoax to get media interest in the pond clearance.
Well, this seems pertinent to my interests! Cool!
Once a Supreme always a Supreme. Very fetching in its John Player Special livery.
😂
This is Amazing stuff, How the hell have I never seen this channel you have 8yr old vids, and Ive never seen themmm, OMG>!!! Keep up the good work these videos are just brilliant.. and also the intro music is really cool, is it original ?
Very interesting and a good voice to listen to, I have a NSD outside my window 😁
👏👏👏👏
Thank you that’s much appreciated. Hopefully the BBC will take note!
@@Dalek6388 we live in hope! 😂
There is, after all, a first time for everything.
These videos remind me, slightly nostalgically, of the little videos they ran before each episode of Planet of the Daleks in 93..... But with a lot greater care and attention. Love em. And I didn't stop it 7 minutes in!!
This is excellent and fascinating!
Dalek Decimus Thank you! 🙂
A last-minute Philip
Great video. 👍 My understanding is that the weird silver cup on the arm of that stage/movie Dalek was a plastic lampshade. I wonder why they replaced the movie dome lights on the Dalek supreme with those purple jam jar lights for Planet.
who would have guessed that Daleks led such interesting lives 👽
probably wrong but that collector also seemed to have acquired the Dalek prison dimension pod thing & the Cyberleaders throne.
