Love my power wagon. I have a 2018 installed some Firestone ride rite air bags with Daystar cradles. I tow a 36 ft fifth wheel RV 14000 gvw. Tows good just need to get an auxiliary tank for longer range.gets about 7 mpg. I have ram boxes so I use an Anderson hitch.

I learned a trick to real good mileage with a power wagon. If possible let completely off the pedal on downhills and use the momentum to start uphills with very light pedal. 55 to 63 mph where possible. I got 19.2 on a 530 mile trip Georgia to florida. Towing I got 14.2 towing a car hauler that weighed about 5k.

@@JB_WhoWork I bought a 2021 Tradesmen PW in April this year and love it. You actually get a little extra payload and towing capacity out of it due to not having the extra weight with all the amenities that come with the traditional PW. The tradesmen PW still has all the same off road capability too. It was way more cost effective choice for me when comparing the differences between a traditional PW and a diesel. I would love for you to do a review on a tradesmen PW.

The hemi struts it;s stuff especially towing up and down hills !
Great news you are not parting with the power wagon !
I can see your point of getting a 2500 ram to tow the trailer.
You pretty much have reached power wagon's towing limit !
Fuel consumed a surprise. I expected too be more !
Here in CANADA we switched to the metric system in the mid to late 1970's .Imperial system i grew up with, STILL HATE TO THIS DAY ! CAN'T USE A METRIC MEASURE TAPE !
For fun thy this conversion measurement - A mile is equal to 1.60 Km . A pound is 2.2kG .
Tell mikey i am still ordering the 2020 power wagon. The dealership salesman two weeks ago informed me that ordering in Canada is expected to commence any time mid to late November up until February, March 2020. WILL KEEP both of you updated on status.

Hey guys...another great video. The PW is truly a hidden gem. As my towing needs no longer requires a diesel and I couldn't stand the constant trips to the highway for no other reason than to ensure good regens....I left the diesel word behind...many years (and trucks). I decided to order a 2021 PW and could not be happier. Its the most fun in terms of the driving experience I've ever had in a truck (I think anyways). My boat/trailer scaled at 6,800 lb. And the 6.4 hemi tow's nicely. I was a bit nervous coming from a 2017 powerstroke, but folks don't be...you will be fine. To Mickey P's point, I would not surpass 8,500lb as I don't belive you should max out ratings in an offroad Biassed suspension (or any truck for that matter). Now looking forward to hitting some CO and UT trails

Good video guys. I'd stay away from diesel tho. Unless you intend on trading before the warranty is off. The diesel particulate filter are a very low mileage lifespan. And they are very expensive to replace. Don't make no difference what brand or model you get. Diesel particulate filters are all the same. They fill up with ash, and the only thing that one can do is replace them. They run around 4000 dollars. When figuring mileage, to keep everything equal between gas and gas. Or gas and diesel, or diesel and diesel, one needs to figure out the fuel cost per mile. That's what counts.

Felt solid. No issues. Rescued a car from the ditch a Nissan Murano. The thing I love most is the sound of the cabin. It’s very quiet. The front end “feels” looser than my 2005 Ram 1500. BUT it tracks better. (The 1500 had a recent alignment and front end work) it’s smooth, most of the time. But if you hit something like a high train track it is firm feeling. Not soft.

It's my opinion that ford's attempt with the tremor to compete with and overtake the power wagon over all in off road ability will fall short of expectations!
However tremor's bigger tire size will likely prompt ram to increase size on the power wagon. On the other hand the tremor's optional diesel engine may in the long run prove to be too heavy for the front end in extremely rough country.
With the exception of fleet truck sales ford may be scared that being #1 in full size pickup's sales to the ordinary truck buying customer is falling more
    then predicated to the competition.

I agree with you 💯%! The Tremor is Fords way to have additional options for customers but I think the diesel option may make it more of a mall crawler. 3.41 for premium, even a couple years ago is cheap, hahaha. It's been near 5 here for 2-3 years easy. At least my manual says it's good for 87 (2021 PW). Even then, at the Costco, it's 4.09 here.

Great video guys, thanks for sharing. I have a 33' Puma with a GVRW of 9500. I really really want the Power Wagon for the offroad features. Do you think a Power Wagon could handle that trailer towing in Montana? Mostly flat with frequent steep grades. Thanks again gents, keep up the great content.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi with 3:92 gears and 20 in tires with a travel trailer loaded at 6000 lbs . I get between 10-11 MPG. I would think that truck would get a little better MPG

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  4 года назад

Every route is different because I towed my trailer maxed out to about 14k and averaged 11 MPG but there wasn’t any wind and I had small grades.

I have the exact same truck 253000 + miles on it. Love this truck (Lifetime powertrain warranty if you were the original). But don't ever buy a Dodge ram with a hemi for fuel mileage 😁. I tow from South Florida to East Tennessee quite often, 6-7000 pounds, traveling 75 to 78 miles per hour. I get 8 MPG. If I go 70-72 I'll get 10MPG. Big difference in going only a few miles per hour less.
