Awesome. Thanks for the update. I've been curious how these were handled with today's tech. I've seen old videos of how these cables were wound and installed but have yet to see one of these. I'd wager not much has changed other than the machines/hoists. I'd bet the coils are still wound up on spools at the back of the bridge with a set up uncoiler frame and a pusher to go up through what would now be hdpe duct/pipe and push it up to the saddle back down to the deck, strip the coating off the end and install them into the anchors and then stress them. The higher you go up and further out the more strands are needed. Those last ones must weigh a ton.
Do you have to secure an approval to fly the filming drone so close to the "action"? And do the ironworkers mind being filmed? I wouldn't think so. I'd love to have my contribution to this project documented. What an honor.
He took the extra time to comment, it must have meant something to him. I found it really cool seeing the threading tech up close, thanks!@@michaelanthonyvideos

My pleasure and thank you for watching! I don't know anything about bridge engineering.

No, not in the US. I just can't fly over people.
@@denelson83 The two countries have a shared airspace agreement. It’s legal.
Thanks for your reply. And thanks for these wonderful videos. @@michaelanthonyvideos
I'm on US soil. I know if I'm standing in Canada, I need a certificate to fly. @@denelson83
