Hi, we are Stephen, Jess and little Hunter, a travelling van life family who self-converted their dream house on wheels - we now live full-time in our Sprinter van called Cooper as we do a full lap of our home Australia.
One of my favorite places. We had the best time in Strasbourg and Colmar about 5 years ago. I'm dying to go back and stay a little longer.

You three should definitely come back for Christmas. The Alsace Region is famous for its Christmas Markets.
I was there in 2019 for christmas and absolutely fell in love with this place. On those canals, they had school kids riding boats at night with lanterns, and santa was in one! Was very interesting.

I sure enjoyed seeing your trip to a part of France I never visited. I was once very surprised when on a Go Ahead company Jewels of the Alpine tour to visit countries in their Alps region we visited Annency along Lake Annency and really enjoyed seeing that city.

Beautiful! We stayed in Strasbourg. The cathedral does a light show at night which was amazing! We had the Tarte Flambee as well for lunch! Now, I want to go to Colmar!
We visited strausberg and then we did a food tours. Such a great experience! Such a great fairy tale town

Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Eguisheim and Kaysersberg (the "route des vins" (literally "wine road") -> all of those villages are picture perfect like Colmar and Strasbourg, but they are smaller in size, and there are many vineyards all around 😊 You can also go up to the Château de Haut-Koenigsburg if you want to have a look from a higher spot! Enjoy 😋

I lost the count on how many times we went in Alsace lol during Christmas time, in summer, september, with and without the kids… those places are always magical to me, they have a special spot in my heart!❤️ can’t wait to go back again!!!! For now, I'm satisfy to sniff the phone and expect to smell the good smell of pan d'epices, tarte alsacienne and bretzel…🤤🤤 Enjoy your travel(and the food hehe) there, greetings from Italy 🇮🇹

So nice to see you in my country ! I visited the christmas markets last year, my brother lived in strasbourg at the time so i did this one and colmar. Colmar at christmas is absolutely incredible, it looks straight out of a theme park 🤯

I felt so proud you guys visited that part of my country where I lived the first 20 years of my life…so many memories came to my mind…I love your videos…Hunter does not know how lucky she is and cannot yet appreciate visiting countries and traditions… for her right now it is very simple, everything is all about going from Cho Cho trains to parks, playgrounds, foods, and having as much fun as possible. I wonder if you will be able to travel once she will start school.

Looks like you stayed in the same place as us. It was an old building attached to a very old church and I remember a bakery across the street. You showed it for a sec in the video. Oh Colmar is a very memorable town! Thanks for brining my memories back!

I'm originally from across the Rhine from Alsace in Germany. The region is called Baden and the two regions are very similar and I love visiting 😍

I’m actually surprised you did not go to Strasbourg for the Christmas market as it is where it originates from! I believe it’s the biggest one in Europe and I know you are such big fans of Christmas and always make a big fuss over the holiday celebrations year after year!

I love their “pizza” - in Paris there is a place called Flams in Monteparnasse who do these. Our favourite is the one that has potato, onion, bacon and cheese. We make it at home now - the cream is crème fraise with a touch of nutmeg, then slices of par cooked potato, bacon, caramelised onions, and Gruyère.
I live in Strasbourg, so special to see you there ! Almost could have bumped into you guys. I love Colmar too, so cute. Enjoy your stay in Alsace

Our family descendants of Germany had a family reunion in Wiesbaden in 2005. Half of us spent a day in Strasbourg it was magical🤠❤️. Still wear a small cross I bought there.

Alsace is very well known for its wonderful Christmas markets. People come from all other France to visit during that time of the year. But if you like old timber houses, may I suggest Troyes (more or less between Alsace and Paris), Honfleur (in Normandy) or Quimper (in Brittany) ?
