Discover the beauty of the Alsace Wine region and find out the top 5 towns to visit when in the Alsace in France. Now named the Grand Est Region in Northeastern France which borders Germany and Switzerland, the Alsace Region has some of Europe's most beautiful towns. For wine lovers, the popular Alsace Wine Route and many wineries house the best white wines in the WORLD. From Reisling wines to Pino Grig, there is plenty of vineyards to visit! We start with Eguisheim and it's beautiful old town and castles then head to Colmar for lunch near the le petit venice canal. After lunch we visit Kaysersberg which has plenty of German influences and has some of the best wineries in the region. Before sunset we visit one of the most beautiful towns in France in Riquewihr that inspired Belle's town in the movie Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Other towns we did not mention on the list are Ribeauville and Obernai. Finally we end up in Strasbourg, the regions largest city for some dinner at a vietnamese restaurant!

Its so convenient to travel with car. I, being a student, don't have one and I was trapped in Riquewihr as I missed the last bus ! Eguisheim, Riquewihr, Colmar everywhere looks so similar and equally beautiful !

Alsace is a beautiful French region, unfortunately the place where Anthony Bourdain (RIP) took his own life. Nevertheless it's still a beautiful place to visit.

Riquiwrl is nice place, my fav. Has been there 3 years ago. Want to come back again someday. Colmar is nice but since I got accident while in Colmar, so not my fav.town #lol

I actually didn't drive on this trip but yes, i got my international license from AAA for like $20 a couple years back when i did go on a trip and drove around spain
