I love you guys! My wife and I are sitting here in our living room in Zürich, watching you tour our adopted homeland, remembering when we moved here with our toddler some twenty-one years ago from the US. A couple of kids later and a couple of decades in we've become Swiss citizens and we're never leaving. This is the best place in the world and it's so cool to see a young family discovering the same things that we fell in love with! (And, now our oldest daughter is doing her undergrad at the same university where Einstein went to school, so wow!)
I too loved visiting it during the summertime as a teenager from the USA, and look forward to getting my own place there-especially not being part of the EU as well as having virtually a zero chance of packing any future kids off to some nasty war is a great incentive to move there.
Wow that is amazing! Just curious, how did you guys move to Switzerland from the US? We live in the US, we went to Switzerland a month ago for vacation and I want to move 😭
You're right, 3 classmates of mine came to school by cable car every day. Where I grew up I had to walk 2km down the hill to school and back up home, summer and winter (sometimes by sleigh). Nice video, thanks and greetings from Switzerland

I grew up spending my summers on a lake in northern Michigan on the outskirts of Gaylord. Gaylord is the sister city of Pontresina, Switzerland and all the architecture is designed to look like it's sister city. Every July they have Alpenfest and everyone dresses swiss for the week. There's a big festival in town all week with rides, booths for crafts and goods, food, a parade, and live music that sounded just like the festival you went to. What a wonderful childhood you are giving Hunter!!!
I love Switzerland! So incredibly beautiful - with the world's best transport system - where everything works - and always good quality. The Swiss are quietly confident and don't need to boast.....unlike some!

I'm Swiss and live in Sion in Valais, i speak french and swiss german. Jess's prononciation of the swiss villages names is so cute with her australian accent 🥰 I love it !
Went to Lauterbrunnen when I was 15 (I'm 68 now). Along the Wengeralpbahn (WAB) the trains of ordinary material still traveled pushed or held by the old cube-shaped electric locomotives similar to those which, fortunately, are still used for the trains of the legendary Schynige Platte Bahn. Even the trains from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald were still hauled by the brown cube-shaped electric locomotives fitted with connecting rods.
Oh, my goodness you guys. This made me cry. The beauty, the love and glory of Switzerland are a wonder to behold. And Hunter is just too cute. May I ask when you will have another? You make beautiful babies!!!
This episode is so beautiful it makes me a bit teary-eyed. The shot at 6:32 looks like a literal live action Disney princess movie opening. I went back and watched it again because it was so amazing! Also great job managing your fear of heights with little Hunter. I'm a mom of little ones too and its tricky balancing keeping them safe but also not wanting them to inherit your fears and phobias.
The answer is yes. I had two guys in class that came by gondola. And there was another guy in the other class of the same grade that did, too. It's almost normal if you live in a mountainous state. Mostly farmer kids.
Looks like an amazing time! Jess I’m so proud of you for being so brave, just a reminder that it’s okay to show Hunter that you’re scared. It will be great for her to watch her mum over come adversity & face her fears! Such an important thing to teach. Much love 🤍

Wow, it must have been very difficult to edit this video with all the amazing footage you undoubtably shot. I would have been happy with a video twice as long. We were just in that area last December and yes, winter is amazing there as well. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures.

I can honestly say that Switzerland rivals Italy in beauty. I think if I went to Switzerland I would never want to leave. Those mountains, those gorges. Have you ever seen such clean, clear air with views miles long to the mountains and so far up to the sky? Unreal. I'm so grateful for getting to see these places. Thank you Steve & Jess! ❤❤

Oh it was so fun watching you enjoy Switzerland, your little girl is such a doll and very happy. This is my favorite country, not only gorgeously breathtaking, but oh so charming with the chalets adorned with red, green or white shutters and plenty of flowers around. Lauterbrunnen, Grindewald, Gimmewald at the top of our list and of course, not to mention handgliding with AirTime, the best outfit to do this. Jumping off "The Wall" with my daughter behind me was spectacular though her "pilot" stepped on her shoe and she prayed that she wouldn't lose it below in the field with the cows. She didn't which was good news. Enjoy! Hoping our fourth trip there will be as amazing as you are having now. Cheers!

Loved this episode! Each year my best friend and ditch our husbands and go hiking somewhere in the world. 3 years ago we went to switzerland. We stayed in Grindelwald at the same Glacier hotel and were able to go swim and take pictures in their heated pool after a day of hiking. It was incredible. Loved your room with the hottub also! So fun!
Amazing road trip with incredible look of Lake Gelmer, Lauterbrunnen town & the tallest waterfalls in Europe, Mannlichen, Grindelwald. So good to see your daughter was having a good time with you both & exciting relaxing outdoor hot tub. Nice warm cozy accommodation you chose.
Hi Guy’s, fellow Perth girl here. We are currently trying to decide on a trip next year. We really want to visit Canada for Christmas but your making this decision very hard with these amazing Switzerland scenes, and the cows !!! This will be our biggest trip yet for our family we haven’t travelled very much other than WA so we can’t decide.
I am so enjoying the videos i am going on trip though England Switzerland and Amsterdam and France, Rome next year so looking forward to going thank you so much given me so many ideas to see and do 😊

we just got back from a month in Switzerland and spent some time in Lauterbrunnen, Appenzell and Zermatt. Its easily the most beautiful country in the world.

Back pre covid and really, pre Hunter, I followed you guys on all your travels along with a few other travel couples. No they have meandered off of the travel trail and it's just you guys. And, I might add you are doing a specular job of filming and documenting your family travels. Great job!
I live in Munich and I visit Brienz also… I walked the „Jacobs Way“ through Switzerland. I walked also from Brienz to Interlaken and up to Lausanne. So i know also the Bridge 😉😎 it’s a beautiful country and i love the alps… hope you have an amazing time… when you will visit Munich please call us. We will show you the best sites of the city and all the spots near to Munich… and our son (3 Years, born in June) will love Hunter 😊

I'm swiss and was on the gelmer bahn a few times already. I can recommend it to everyone. The walk around the lake is so beautiful and you can also walk down instead of driving.
So you went orienteering Swiss style, my Aunt after she became my guardian would drag me around orienteering all the time. I would not have minded it so much if it weren’t for BC weather. I seriously have yet to find an area in the world were it rains that badly with arctic winds and cold water coming at you diagonally while trying to find a flag and hole puncher to punch the map in the middle of the forest.

Hi Guy’s, fellow Perth girl here. We are currently trying to decide on a trip next year. We really want to visit Canada for Christmas but your making this decision very hard with these amazing Switzerland scenes, and the cows !!! This will be our biggest trip yet for our family we haven’t travelled very much other than WA so we can’t decide.

we just got back from a month in Switzerland and spent some time in Lauterbrunnen, Appenzell and Zermatt. Its easily the most beautiful country in the world.

Back pre covid and really, pre Hunter, I followed you guys on all your travels along with a few other travel couples. No they have meandered off of the travel trail and it's just you guys. And, I might add you are doing a specular job of filming and documenting your family travels. Great job!
I live in Munich and I visit Brienz also… I walked the „Jacobs Way“ through Switzerland. I walked also from Brienz to Interlaken and up to Lausanne. So i know also the Bridge 😉😎 it’s a beautiful country and i love the alps… hope you have an amazing time… when you will visit Munich please call us. We will show you the best sites of the city and all the spots near to Munich… and our son (3 Years, born in June) will love Hunter 😊

I'm swiss and was on the gelmer bahn a few times already. I can recommend it to everyone. The walk around the lake is so beautiful and you can also walk down instead of driving.
So you went orienteering Swiss style, my Aunt after she became my guardian would drag me around orienteering all the time. I would not have minded it so much if it weren’t for BC weather. I seriously have yet to find an area in the world were it rains that badly with arctic winds and cold water coming at you diagonally while trying to find a flag and hole puncher to punch the map in the middle of the forest.
