Day 1: Grindelwald - Adventure & Scenic Views
    Morning:
Take the gondola from Grindelwald to Grindelwald First (Top of Adventure).
Start with the Tissot Cliffwalk for panoramic views (best done early to avoid crowds).
Hike to Bachalpsee Lake, a beginner-friendly hike with stunning mountain views.
    Midday:
Enjoy adventure activities like the zipline or the First Flyer (a zipline alternative with shorter wait times).
Try the mountain carts or mountain scooters for a scenic ride back down to Grindelwald.
    Afternoon:
Visit the nearby Pfingstegg gondola station for more activities like a mountain coaster or zipline.
    Evening:
Head to Grindelwald Canyon (open late on Fridays with beautiful lighting).
For dinner, try the Fondue Gondola at the Bernerhof Hotel, offering a unique dining experience with scenic valley views.
Day 2: Explore the Lakes - Lake Brienz & Surroundings
    Morning:
Take the train to Interlaken Ost and board the 11:07 AM historic boat for a scenic cruise on Lake Brienz.
Optionally stop at Giessbach Falls (reachable by funicular) or view them from the boat.
    Midday:
Arrive in Brienz. Walk along Brunngasse Street, often cited as one of Switzerland's most beautiful streets.
Ride the historic Brienzer Rothorn steam train for panoramic views of Lake Brienz.
    Afternoon:
Alternatively, visit Ballenberg Open-Air Museum to explore traditional Swiss architecture.
Option to visit the Trauffer World toy museum in Brienz for a family-friendly experience.
    Evening:
Return to Interlaken for dinner at Harder Kulm restaurant, offering stunning views of the surrounding lakes and mountains.
Day 3: Lauterbrunnen Valley - Valley of Waterfalls
    Morning:
Take the gondola from Grindelwald to Männlichen and hike the Royal Walk for breathtaking views of the Swiss skyline (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau).
Continue the gondola ride down to Wengen for a stroll through the picturesque village.
    Midday:
Take the train down to Lauterbrunnen and walk along the valley’s pedestrian path to see its 72 waterfalls.
Visit the Trümmelbach Falls, a series of interior glacial waterfalls inside the mountain.
    Afternoon:
Head to the Stechelberg gondola and take it up to Gimmelwald, a charming village with self-service fridges running on an honor system.
Optionally, continue up to Mürren, or take the gondola further to Schilthorn for a 007 Bond World experience.
    Evening:
Return to Grindelwald via Wengen or Spiez.

Thank you so much for doing these videos!! So helpful. We had a wonderful trip to Switzerland a few weeks ago and kept your tips in mind. Ok, to be honest, I made lists on my phone that I could refer to. We had such a wonderful time. The Trummelbach Falls was very much worth seeing. We had the most amazing weather for May. We did not make it up to Grindlewald First due to great weather, a holiday, and tons of people with the same idea on that Saturday. However, we saw a gondola in the distane and decided to see where it went. We had a wonderful visit to Pfingstedd, having lunch on the balcony at the restaurant and did my first zip line. Unfortunately the mountain coaster did not open until the following day. After that, we headed for another gondola on the other side of the valley and went up to the Eiger Glacier. We had our own gondola and the views were amazing. We also took cruises on both lakes, being able to take the steamboat on Lake Brienz. We really saw a lot of the area and much of that was thanks to your videos. Thank you!!

Great ideas. I took inspiration for this on my trip. Be warned ⚠️ it's very difficult to do both lakes in a day, I suggest getting a train to Brienz, touring there. Take the boat back to Interlaken then the same for the 2nd lake. The boats are infrequent, even in summer, if you miss the 9am boat, the next one is not until past 11am.

My advice for visitors - bring an umbrella. The weather here in Switzerland (Interlaken) have been a bit odd. Rain. A few day of sunshine. And then more rain and chilly. A bit of sun. And again more rain ☔

    • @GJ_Brown
      @GJ_Brown 7 месяцев назад +2

@SavedPdf This is a question only Mother Nature can answer. Even she is confused with climate change
Best solution right now here in this month (June) allow yourself at least a one week 7 day visit. Not 3 days. Somewhere inside of a week, you will get a sunny day, or two.

@@dentiste2015 I believe the amazon rain forest is much drier there than it is here in Europe...
In any rate, the next 10-day weather prediction calls for rain. And to add to the mix, a few nice thunder storms - after which, I don't know - I'll be taking refuge in sunny (?) Poland for the next couple weeks.

Hi, i'm going to Grindelwald in January, and I have a few questions I'll be glad if u could answer:
    1. Is the snow better in January than in February in Kleine Scheidegg?
    2. What is the best way to go up to Kleine Scheidegg, do i have to go to Top of Europe and then ski down to Kleine Scheidegg?
    3. how do i go there? with a train (i heard it's very slow and takes time) or ski lift? And which ski lift?
I will be staying at Hotel Caprice which is 100 meters from Grindelwald - Grund - Kleine Scheideggbahn Cog Train
    4. Should I rent equipement online before I get there? Or will there be enough equipment to rent in the town center or in Kleine Schneidegg to rent on the spot?
    5. When I ski down, do I have to take a train all the way up again and again? Or I take ski lifts to specific runs that I want to do?
    6. What is the best place for a first time beginner (my friend) to stay in to learn the basics? Should he be in Kleine Scheidegg or go somewhere else?
    7. When do the trains to go to Interlaken or come from Interlaken usually close?
Thank you I'm sorry for bothering !

Hey guys - I really love the channel! My wife and I, together with our 4 year old son, will be visiting Switzerland in September as part of a multi-national trip that starts in Paris and ends in Venice.
We plan on spending about a week in Switzerland and this video is just about what we had in mind in terms of what we want to do.
My question to you: would you recommend traveling by train exclusively? I like the idea of the freedom that comes with a car, but everyone seems to say that it’s a pain in the backside to drive in Switzerland.
    Any recommendations?

  • @Cheese-gk8ev

Truly appreciate all your videos that are encouraging me to plan a trip to Switzerland. However, I will likely visit in December, and I plan to stay in Interlaken, enjoy 2 to 3 days around the mountain areas and a few of those from this video, then travel out daily to explore Bern, Bienne, or Lucerne (2-3 days) before departing via Zurich. It seems that this method can minimise the time in check-in/out hotel, yet able to cover other interesting places which are very reachable from Interlaken. Do you recommend this idea? Thank you.

If it's just a purse/ backpack or something similar - you can store them at the First Flyer or Glider locations for free at the desks. But you'll need to take them with you for the mountain carts or trotti bikes as those have different starting and ending points. If you have larger items (like suitcases, duffel bags, etc. I recommend leaving them at the lockers in the Grindelwald train station.)

I love your channel! My family and I are will be in Switzerland in July and you guys have been so helpful.
If we start early, do you think we can do Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald in one day? We’ll be coming from Lucerne.

I am planning for a July trip. Can I stay in Zermatt and visit interlaken and grindelwald for a day trip? Is it too much to cover in a day? Please reply

Can I just automatically ride all the gondolas if I have the Swiss travel pass or do I still have to book them at the stations

The Swiss travel pass does not cover gondolas, you will get a discount from 20-50% so still need to purchase tickets

Hi what! Airport is near to this location? Zurich or geneva?

Zurich is decently close. There is a direct train from the airport to Interlaken which takes a bit over 2 hours.

Not at all! I think it's actually easier by train and public transit

No there are minimum weights and age limits for the rides - I believe 10 years old for most / 35 kg
