one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Ulrich Lehnhardt Straßburg is german not french.
enjoy your no-go zones u salty dude.
You can keep on dreaming dude... With our present army I m afraid Bunderswerh would be wiped out this time if Germans even dared. Times has changed.
Its French but has German influence....Most people in Strasburg and surrounding cities such as Colmar speak french or a rare dialect known as "Alsatian". German simply is not as prevalent.
@@artfrat only the older person
And I must add that Strasbourg is a great city for students !
Morgane Fichter what do you mean

It's definitely one of the best cities of France! Was there last weekend and loved it
I just went there today. The city is beautiful. The atmosphere is what made it so good I think.
It’s german not french.

Nice vidéo
I'll be there next month.
Imagine Strasbourg in Christmas ❤️❤️
Strasbourg was famous for it's franconian-allemanian dialect hope they preserved it
Yes we do, it is spoken everywhere in Alsace but mostly by elderly people.
Reminds me a lot of Basel, Switzerland or Lucerne
I'm not a pro at Basel and Switzerland but from what I've seen, no it's pretty different
Emily hancock it’s german.
i hope i visit this city one day...
When ? I am from the city !
I'm going there nex few months to star a new chapter in my life
(5:09) Update: Au Fût et à Mesure is permanently closed in Strasbourg
I live in Strasbourg lol
i hope i will go to this city one day inshallah 🙏🙏🙏
Muslims don't belong in Europe. You ruin Europe for the natives.
The Goodly Dragon you're being racist and ignorant in fact you give a negative image on Europeans. Its a free world and a free country for sure. She and everyone can visit.
lol she probably shouldnt have said that inshallah it was too extra but that doesnt mean that she shouldnt go to france because of her religion let these people be
Are you happy now mohhamed people killed in strasbourg

very nice, except the reading part.

hey, remember people there danced to death!
but don't forget to be quiet in the streets after dark or everyone will "shush" you !!
Already a mistake in the beginning Strasburg means Streat Cassel
Mr X you are a very wrong. Center of Venice, St. Petersburg and Amsterdam are surrounded by the water too !!!
It's a German city. German cities are commonly surrounded by water. Like Berlin with the Spree. What they mean in the video is that it is THE ONLY city in France surrounded by water in its city center. St Petersburg was built under Germanic influence too (specially Dutch)
Did they still speak German in the 90's?
Alsace was not "annexed" to Germany, it rather became part of it at the same time as Prussia or Bavaria. Calling it "annexation" is historically wrong. Nobody spoke French there back then and the buildings are the only remaining ones in Germany that weren't destroyed during the wars. How fun that real German architecture is only found in France.

Straßburg is a scheene Stadt
More German than French!!
this city looks more German than German cities, wtf
ami because it is german not french!
well that would explain a lot
@@linajurgensen4698 Because it's French and not german
Ruby Abc as a Strasbourg inhabitant, it is french, your just a stupid nazi who miss the « old days »
@@chelseas_lament4624 your comment doesn't make sense
Strassburg is the main town of Elsass-Lothringia. It is a german speaking country which is under the power of the french government like Brittany or Basque land or Corsica and so on. Our language is forbidden by the french authority, we have no rights. We are not french, we are alsatian : Elsass-Lothringer
We want to be free !
My ancestors are half Breton, and the other half is from Auvergne and Alsace. I am French first and foremost. One of my great grandfathers was Alsacian, left Alsace twice heartbroken, refusing to become German to the extend that he even forbade German or the Alsacian dialect to be spoken at home, returned to Alsace in 1920. He died in 1935, fortunately before WWII.
Strasbourg was taken from Germany after the 30 years war... 1648
sounds nice! I like this series and style of introduction. on a side remark...that couple at 2:45 awfully newlyrich, both have very bad taste clothing and her eyeliner is much too heavy. Also they even don't know how to eat proper! Looking at the way she holds the fork.
xD are you for real ?
It’s German but French
Alemmanic*
Alsatians are Germanic but not German.
Straasburg..,an evil city , with the new representation of of the Tower of Babel.
werkspoortje you can't even spell it correctly... I guess you never been at strasbourg?
SHUT THE FCUK UP!!!
It seems like when it comes to Europe, the less presence multiculturalism has in an area, the nicer and safer it’s.
Based and redpilled
Absolutely some minorities do not respect the local culture and turn it into a dump
Strasbourg will be always German, its heart of Germany, Franch should gave it to Germans
Milos Badarevic get Straßburg back!!! It’s german!!!
That doesn't matter... Just take care of the place!
And be proud of it!
It's a part of Germany in France!
Two beautiful countries with beautiful cultures...
Send you a big hug ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You can keep on dreaming dude... With our present army I m afraid Bunderswerh would be wiped out this time if Germans even dared. Times changed.
You wish. Strasbourg is and will always be french.
Lol, sure.
When you visit the City you notice it is a german city
Jesus is our lord and savior
Straßburg is not french!!! Straßburg stays german!🇩🇪
No we aren’t german we are French but i like german
Strasbourg is french i live there
Haha you wish!
it looks german, the traditions are all german. how arrogant that they claim it's unique and try to make it look as if this has anything to do with france. many german cities look exactly like this one and the christmas markets and the traditions are all german and you can find them in any other german city.
They talk about the German influences of the city multiple times in the video.
It is unique because the region of Alsace is unique- changing nationality several times throughout history.
Besides, what do you mean "any German city"? Even no two German cities are alike.
I think they say its "unique" because it is a France city no less, that a has adapted German tendencies over the years, I don't think its had anything to do with arrogance.
***** it's a german city that has adapted french tendencies and not the other way around.
Is that some sort of German butthurt?
Lol don't fall for it. I live in Strasbourg and it's boring as hell. If you're below 35 don't come. No night life, closed minded people, bad food.
you didnt met the right people
kak gevaarlik that's today, before it was cool
i live in Strasbourg and honestly its beautiful City cest une belle ville
Will visit this city in Nov.
