I was just thinking how I miss your makeup tutorials and GRWM. After entirely too many trips to GOODWILL, I’m making a conscious effort to reduce the amount of STUFF I bring into the house. Although, I love that content too.

You are the only person I follows who mentions a budget, it’s so authentic and true. We get caught up in thinking we need things (especially during the Nordstrom sale) and forget about what we really need. Having a budget and knowing your lifestyle in determining what you buy is huge! ❤
As much as I would love for everyone to use my links to shop the sale, I lose sleep worrying that someone has also used my links to buy something they shouldn't. It really is important to me, even though when you see my hauls you may think I've lost my mind. ;)
Part of the fun of the Nordstrom sale will be driving about 30 miles to the Nordstrom where I shop and get the best service. I so rarely go to any nice department store anymore so it's a one-a-year outing at this point. It's hard to believe that going shopping at the mall used to be such a common, weekly occurrence. I miss it. I was really happy to see last year Nordstrom was packed, actually the entire mall was packed. I wonder what it will be like this year at the mall.

I feel like Nordstrom’s quality is lacking. I have purchased several things that I thought was very cheaply made. I use to love Nordstrom but not so much now.
I'm getting pickier myself...and I'm finding that Walmart's quality has really gone up!!
I’m avoiding the Nordy sale this year. But very curious about what we will see on sale. Hopefully not the same Cardigans and Spanx. BTW I appreciate that at the beginning of this video you said make up is your first love. Especially for those that don’t understand why you put on a full face. I am 63 and still put on full face when I leave the house or on a work call. It makes ME happy. I don’t care what anyone else thinks!

You are HILARIOUS!!🤣 😂 I have never had to do any tweezing or waxing of my eyebrows… until I hit 50. Then I noticed my eyebrows were thinning out at the edges so I started using pencil to fill in the edges. And I always use a brush afterwards to make sure that it looks more natural than painted. It is probably a good idea to go through your fall/winter clothes before you jump into purchasing new items at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Just look to see if you have any gaps so that you don't purchase things just because they are on sale. Nordstrom's used to have a great petite department, but it is often hard to find clothing that truly fits me. I'm 5'1 98 lbs. You do a fabulous job of applying makeup. You look beautiful both ways - with and without makeup. Happy Anniversary.

You do an awesome job with makeup and look beautiful! Only thing is I don’t wear much at all but mascara, bronzer (cheeks) and lip color. Oh because I have oily skin I use tinted moisturizer in winter or sell tanner in summer. I’m very blessed, or really don’t care if I have imperfections in summer to use any concealer because I don’t like to use any more on my skin since skin oily. THANK YOU for your awesome tips!! Thank you Marnie for this video however I would never use nor buy all the products you use. I use one eyebrow powder, one palette of eyeshadow. No concealer, no bronzer and a lot of other things you use. I just don't want to spend that much on products I don't really need. I am older than you and my basic routine is enough. When I was 50ish I worried more about my appearance, but the beauty of getting older is you realize that most of that stuff just really doesn't matter.
In my 60’s over here and totally agree with your thoughts. Over the years ( and decades) I have downsized in all areas of life. :) Having tons of stuff just isn’t as fun or meaningful to me anymore.
None of it matters but I enjoy it. And that’s the part that matters. And as I get older, I would hope that I will continue to understand that what makes me happy may not be the same for others and that both paths are just fine and not meant to be judged.

I have already committed to getting the new Trish McEvoy Planner and this year also the new Trish McEvoy Skincare Essentials kit (or whatever they are calling it) because my Trish McEvoy rep has already contacted me and lined it up. I have run out of the skincare serums and they tend to last me about a year. Still, dropping about $600 on one purchase of cosmetics is a lot. I appreciate your words of wisdom and I want to try to limit my cosmetics and skincare buying to once a year from now on, which would make this purchase average about $50 a month on skincare/cosmetics, which is more than enough.

“Cream sticks”….now I want a donut
I am so bummed, last year's Nordstrom sale I got to shop early and this year I don't. I am a Nordy Club Influencer level, but not a cardholder. My profile let me shop with the credit card Influencers so I got early access. Pretty sure it was a glitch that got noticed, haha. Oh well, my budget this year is much smaller as I had lost 30 pounds and was shopping for a new wardrobe last year. This year, I've gained 15 of those pounds back and I'm all in my feels about letting it happen, so I'm punishing myself with a tiny budget. :( Maybe it's a good thing I have to wait, more will be sold out and less tempting. LOLOL
