You have helped me up my style so much. I am over 50 but still want to dress stylish. Cannot unsee that 3/4 sleeves are dowdy. So they will go or use for gardening! Being 5 feet, dresses are a problem. Even petite dresses are too long. Have one summer dress that I spent extra $25 to shorten to midi length for a 5 foot tall women. Finding petite where the long sleeves have to be folded over has been my life. Had some long sleeves (2 per top) shorten at $18 & up. Keep presenting content. You always look so lovely.

Some of your recommendations should be considered high end. Perhaps finding an alternative for those of us who don't want to spend a high prices for baggage. Appreciate the other low price items.
I found a Loft linen blend shorts for $4 at a great thrift shop. High end with great prizes. One of my favorite shorts. The linen is great, lite wt in hot, hot humid weather.
Away bags are amazing. I swear you can get a season's worth of clothes in the big bag (not a carry on). I feel like you do about sandals at the airport. Ick!

Nice that you got invited to LA to speak at that conference and your casual off-white suit was perfect for the time and place. Kind of the Armani suit look redux for 2024. I laughed at the number of times you mentioned it was cold in California, while I watched this outside in my sweats on the first day of summer in SoCal drinking hot coffee. It has barely gotten up to the low 70s at the coast this entire spring and in the mornings and evenings it's cool. I'm hoping for warm days soon!

Sometimes these luxury items are a gift for perhaps a husband. Sometimes it may be a milestone or goal reached. I will also say that some of the mid level luxury bags can last years past a $20 amount bag purchased many times over. I do get it can seem obscene, but I think multiple factors play into a purchase like that. Plus, Marnie is so grounded and obviously, not a slave to labels.

Hey Marnie! Love your channel, love your style. I know you recently tried some Vivaia shoes (I have several pair). I just bought a pair of the leopard print aria flats. Can you do an episode of all the outfits you can wear with a leopard flat? I haven't seen the Vivaia leopard print IRL yet but it appears less orange toned than many others that are faux fur, etc. Also, can you occasionally bring a guest in a larger size to model your picks? I am 5'3" but wear a 14 with 36DD/38DD and certain things don't wear the same. For example, I bought the Quince gauze dress (its actually a maxi) last year and the neckline and first seam are higher on me and I am not sure it looks great belted. THANKS!!!!
Hi!! I actually haven't ever tried that brand of shoes (I haven't even heard of it), so I think you have me confused with someone else. I appreciate that we have different body types so things are going to look differently on other people, but that's why RUclips and Instagram are so great-there are thousands of creators with different body types to choose from and support!
I've showed it unbelted in my Natural Fibers video. As long as you have a waist, you can belt it. Tailored pieces actually are better on larger bodies than big flowy pieces.
I'm actually planning on touching on that in a video next month, but for me it was about eating less. It's simple math that is not so simple in execution.
It's just your personal preference, really. Some people like to tap on an icon and some people prefer the text in the description box. It doesn't matter to me either way-I just want to make it as easy as possible for you! I think it might be easier for people who watch on a tv to do the YT icon thing but I haven't tried it.

I found a Loft linen blend shorts for $4 at a great thrift shop. High end with great prizes. One of my favorite shorts. The linen is great, lite wt in hot, hot humid weather.

I haven't done that one specifically, but 99.9% of everything I show is machine washable. And if it's not, I use the Woolite At Home Dry Cleaning Kit.

Nice that you got invited to LA to speak at that conference and your casual off-white suit was perfect for the time and place. Kind of the Armani suit look redux for 2024. I laughed at the number of times you mentioned it was cold in California, while I watched this outside in my sweats on the first day of summer in SoCal drinking hot coffee. It has barely gotten up to the low 70s at the coast this entire spring and in the mornings and evenings it's cool. I'm hoping for warm days soon!

Like I’ve said before, everyone has different budgets.
Sometimes these luxury items are a gift for perhaps a husband. Sometimes it may be a milestone or goal reached. I will also say that some of the mid level luxury bags can last years past a $20 amount bag purchased many times over.
I do get it can seem obscene, but I think multiple factors play into a purchase like that. Plus, Marnie is so grounded and obviously, not a slave to labels.

Hey Marnie! Love your channel, love your style. I know you recently tried some Vivaia shoes (I have several pair). I just bought a pair of the leopard print aria flats. Can you do an episode of all the outfits you can wear with a leopard flat? I haven't seen the Vivaia leopard print IRL yet but it appears less orange toned than many others that are faux fur, etc. Also, can you occasionally bring a guest in a larger size to model your picks? I am 5'3" but wear a 14 with 36DD/38DD and certain things don't wear the same. For example, I bought the Quince gauze dress (its actually a maxi) last year and the neckline and first seam are higher on me and I am not sure it looks great belted. THANKS!!!!
Hi!! I actually haven't ever tried that brand of shoes (I haven't even heard of it), so I think you have me confused with someone else. I appreciate that we have different body types so things are going to look differently on other people, but that's why RUclips and Instagram are so great-there are thousands of creators with different body types to choose from and support!
I've showed it unbelted in my Natural Fibers video. As long as you have a waist, you can belt it. Tailored pieces actually are better on larger bodies than big flowy pieces.

It's just your personal preference, really. Some people like to tap on an icon and some people prefer the text in the description box. It doesn't matter to me either way-I just want to make it as easy as possible for you! I think it might be easier for people who watch on a tv to do the YT icon thing but I haven't tried it.
